Hello all,

Would it be possible to use a gradient background color for the header and the theme color (fonts)?
I know how to do this with the WPBakery Page Builder, but I’ve been told not to use this along with the Tagdiv builder.

Many thanks in advance for your help!

Best regards,
Eduard

Hi,

The mobile version is look like that because you have the mobile theme plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se

Also in Newspaper v9.7.4 you can show the responsive version on mobile theme -> http://prntscr.com/oh6r2s you can check more details about mobile theme in our documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you!

Hello !

Unfortunately not but please make sure that your Newspaper Theme is up to date -> 9.7.4 There should be no conflicts between wpbakery and tagdiv composer.

Thank you !

Hi,

If I’m right this is happen because you have the WPBakery plugin activate, if you have it, this can happen when you create the first time a template or a page and you have this plugin activate ( WPBakery ) in order to fix this problem you’ll need to save the header and refresh the page, after the page/header is save there should be no problem.
Please let me know if there is still a problem!
Thank you!

Hello.
By law, I have to make my Newspaper site accessible to the disabled. I’m using Newsppapaer with WP Bakery page builder.
Is the Newspaper theme built with accessibility in mind? What about WP Bakery page builder? Do you have any documentation or guidelines?
Thank you

Been running the old WP Bakery Composer because as we all kn ow when installed totally crashed site which wasnt cool and really sucked. So finally get the email that says the Theme is updated. I am running NewspaperVersion: 9.7.2 and I think we are now on 9.7.5???

Which should bring composer current correct ??? Honestly I prefer the good ole composer over tag div composer every day of the week sorry much more user friendly with hundreds of nice add-ons available, did the theme a dis-service with that, coming from a 4 year user.

Im getting old and memory is failing I guess but I cant seem to find where or how to upgrade please, and is it safe for the new composer now?

Hi Vlad,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, as mentioned in my initial ticket, I am getting the error with only the theme plugins activated, ie:
AMP
tagDiv Cloud Library
tagDiv Composer
tagDiv Mobile Theme
tagDiv Newsletter
tagDiv Social Counter
WP Bakery Page Builder

I am working on my localhost with the trellis / bedrock WordPress stack. I have no caching enabled.

Any insights?

Thanks for your reply. I need to run both as the site breaks completely otherwise. This is only since the latest update. Very odd as I have used WP Bakery all the way through. I notice that your TD Composer doesn’t support 4 columns either so this is rather problematic.

When can we expect an update or a fix?

Thanks

Before moving to TD Composer W3TC was the best caching solution for us. Page loads were 3 secs..and now we moved to wp super cache and page loads are around in 10 seconds. Mobile versions are started to load on desktop versions etc. Later we found out that A2 Hostings’s optimization infrastructure does not support WP supercache. So we are at impasse

Our hosting does not support wp supercache and our theme does not support W3TC or others.

There are some people using wp recket and I wonder if it works out for newspaper theme. From time to time, I regret moving to TD composer but it is way better than wp bakery. Any suggestion will help. Thanks

Hi,

@Pomplemoose
So the sidebar doesn’t appear even when set for posts individually. Should appear fine if the sidebar contains widgets and is set to appear, for example
https://www.screencast.com/t/42LoQ8hT9w
Maybe you are using various characters in the sidebar name, this will remove the widgets from it – https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/

@webforu
There is a case when that might happen. Is the WPBakery plugin active? If possible try to deactivate it and check if the cloud template displays properly.
If that is the case, I could provide a quick fix for it, please post a link to where I can see the problem happening.

Let me know.
Thanks

I’ve completed all your suggested fixes on ‘mkdv.meta-morphos.es’ but found no solution.
The screenshots are below.

The common factor, whether the store page was setup with TD Composer or WP Bakery, is that the WooCommerce products DO display when that shop page is NOT selected as the ‘Shop’ page in WooComm settings, and DO NOT display when that page is selected as go to Shop page in WooComm settings.

I deactivated all non-Newspaper plugins at one time, and then deactivated plugins one-by-one. The results were the same.
I also activated/deactivated WP Bakery plugin in the test.
No child theme is in use.

*** FYI On the blank display page the Chrome Console shows following error in red:
“Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
/storetc/mode-less.js:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)”

Newspaper appears to have code obstructions to allowing WooCommerce to function in it’s normal way. Will your programmers correct this in the near future?

Yes. The WPBakery plugin is not a required plugin. The theme will work perfectly fine without it. Only if you want to use WPBakery, then you can install it and use it.

Elapse let me know if you have more questions.

Hi,

Looks like WPBakery has released another update, that would be the second one this week. At the time of creating the update package for the theme the latest WPBakery was 6.0.4, which we included in it.

We don’t recommend to update to 6.0.5 in this case, before we first test this version and include it with the theme.
There was an issue with 6.0.3, we fixed it and we were ready to add it to the theme package, and then WPBakery released 6.0.4 and there was no need for a fix as everything works fine with it.

Let me know if you have more questions, or if there are issues with the theme after the latest update.

Thanks

right now we only use td composer
so if we didn’t install wpbakery,
we didn’t need to install plugin js composer
is it right?

I just received an update for my Newspaper theme. Does this include an update for the WPBAKERY Visual Composer Plugin to version 6.0.5 or any new version. I am still using version 6.0.2 and I do not want any more issues, but we have to keep our plugins updated for security purposes. Please Advise ASAP!!!

Hello,
I’ve found a few past posts related to my problems with WooCommerce, but none of the proposed solutions are working for me.

I had a WooCommerce shop page on my site when using a previous Newspaper version and the WPBakery Page Builder. It displayed fine using the WooComm blocks.

Since updating to latest v 9 newspaper version the Shop page hasn’t displayed so I’ve tried various solutions. I’ve built new shop pages using both TD Composer and WPBakery Page Builder. When the new page is NOT selected in WooCommerce Products settings, the WPBakery displays products fine and the TD Composer page only displays the shortcode for WC Products. When either page is selected as the go to Products page in WC settings, the page displays blank.??

Could you suggest a solution?

I don’t see a way to attach screenshots.
When WooComm ‘Product’ settings are selected for a shop page it displays as blank.
When not selected the TDComposer page only displays shortcode, and the WPBakery displays products but with odd mega vertical spacing that must be corrected with CSS.
The site is a development clone site for Marketwisetrader.com,
address is //mkdv.meta-morphos.es

Thanks, Lon

Hi,

There was an update yesterday, and the WPBakery should work normally and there should not more be problems wit the singe image; but please do not use two builders on the same page, because this will break your page layout.

Thank you!

Hello !

Unfortunately this option is not available anymore. You will have to do it using the tagDiv Composer. And coming with the new updates there will be fewer posibilities on using the WP bakery page builder.

We are sorry for the inconvenience !

Thank you !

Hi,

If you wish to use WPBakery or just try it out you can do so, but the tagDiv composer has to also be active. They can be active at the same time if needed.

The WPBakery builder is still provided in the theme package, and we will update it along theme updates.

In our theme WPBakery can be used a backend builder, while the tagDiv composer is a front-end builder.
Here is tutorial about our composer – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/

Thanks

Hi Simion,

Just a heads up and thanks.

WPBakery have released 6.0.4 of their composer and there appears to be no conflict now.

6.0.2 works and also 6.0.4 running with TagDiv Composer

Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/

Also for the 3 blocks, you’ll need to have set same feature posts (that have set feature category) -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/QsJ6ppY4

Or you can use the responsive version of the theme, for this just deactivate the mobile theme.

Thank you!

You could simply download the full theme package and the plugins will be there, shouldn’t take much time do download and extract the package. The theme plugins have to be updated when the theme is updated, it is required to so.

WPBakery is usually updated only when the theme is updated as well. We don’t recommend to update just WPBakery, this could cause problems
