Hi,
When I use wpbakery the SEO snippet will have some jquery scripts showing.
Any method to fix the issue?
I use yoastSEO and WPbakery on other themes but haven’t encountered this issue.
Any advise is very much appreciated, thanks 🙂

Hi,
You can update normally, there will not be any problem
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
By FTP would be the most recommended method. Remember as always to make a backup of the website before anything. Also update the theme plugins.
Note that in version 8 of the theme, the tagDiv composer was introduced. This composer will be activated by default when the theme is updated or installed. In order to use it all the pages have to be recreated with it. Or you can continue using Visual composer for the moment, and make the transition when you want, if you want. More about it here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Simply by being active the tagDiv composer could cause issues to pages built with Visual composer, containing Visual composer elements. So you could disable the tagDiv composer for the moment and there will be no problem.
Also a multi-purpose plugin was introduced, this adds many more elements and options to the tagDiv composer only

Visual composer (now WPBakery Page Builder) is still provided in the theme package and updates are included along with the theme

Thanks
Hi,
First thing that you should do is to make a full backup of the website, just to be safe and also have something to return to in case of issues, this is an update guide

The most recommended update method would be by FTP. Update the theme plugins as well (deactivate and remove, then reinstall from latest theme package).

In order to use it all the pages have to be recreated with it. Or you can continue using Visual composer for the moment, and make the transition when you want, if you want. More about it here

There are currently some issues with the latest version of the theme, these happen only in certain circumstances. A theme update is scheduled as soon as possible (certainly this week). So you could consider waiting for theme version 8.7.2 to be released before updating.
Thank you!
Hi, I hope this is where I can get some help with this issue!
When updating the plugin along with the theme on our development site, it all seemed to work fine, however the classes set before were lost and a seemingly random id is set instead. Therefore the page actually doesn’t look as it should.
When going to edit page, it looks fine, but even after updating it it doesn’t seem it wants to acknowledge my columns and layout…
As it looked before update: http://www.lakemedelsvarlden.se/om-lmv/
As it looks after update: http://lmv.enestedt-playground.se/om-lmv/
Can someone please help me resolve this?
Have you activated WP Bakery Visual Composer?
Hi,
All the demos are created with the tagDiv composer, this is the main page builder in the theme at the moment. WPBakery page builder will still be provided in the theme package.
1. It is recommended to choose a page builder and use only that one, to avoid possible issues. Note that the tagDiv composer has already received many options and features and many more will come. There are plans to implement a considerable amount of functionality in the composer.
2/3/4. You can disable the WPBakery page builder, it is not a required plugin.
Thanks
I Epickenyan,
Since nobody is helping me through my problems can i ask you something. I checked your website. Good work, run smoothly. Which page composer do you use? I had problem with using both at the same time and searched a lot but I dont know what to do. I am planing to reinstall my wp and reinstall newspaper without td composer? is wpbakery is enough? i am really lost here?
I don’t know about your installation, but on mine it seems that WPBakery Page Builder (formerly Visual Composer) started hogging more server resources than in the previous version. It worked okay and now, after the update, its queries are sometimes insane. I probably won’t look deeper into it as I’ll eventually ditch it for TD Composer as recommended.
Hi there. Second update in few weeks for me and both times I had problem with Visual Composers (WPBakery) Row Background color changing from black (which i set) to white. Although the setting is BLACK it displays white.
First time I managed to fix this issue by updating WPbakery plugin.
I just deactivated TagDiv Composer and the background appear normal with other parts of website. So clearly the tagDiv Composer and Visual Composer can’t work at the same time. The problem was that after update it enables the tagDiv Composer automatically (for me it DOES NOT EVEN WORK – Can’t save anything there).
Thanks
And one more thing: When you say that newspaper does not work with other page-builders: Obviously this does not include WpBakery?
So why does Newspaper work with WpBakery but not other page builders?
Kind regards
Lars
Hi,
WPBakery Page Builder plugin did not receive any updates, the latest version is 5.4.5 which is provided in the theme package. You can keep using this for your products.
Woocommerce provides shortcodes, these can be used in the tagDiv composer if you decide to use the tagDiv composer in the future
– https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/
These shortcodes can be placed in text elements using the tagDiv composer

Thanks
I solutioned by using the TagDiv Composer instead of WPBakery Page Builder
Deactivate the td composer if you use wp bakery visual composer.
Hi, ever since downloading and updating to 8.7, I have an issue with td composer and wpbakery plugin. I think they kind of crash together. Can you go about these crashes, please?
I have captured some images but cannot attach them here.
I’m using Newsmag theme and wanted to know which plug-in I need to design my site. Do I need the tagDiv Composer, or should I use WP Bakery Page Builder?
After update theme, how i can import TagDiv Social Counter in WPBakery Page Builder(Visual Composer), because there are no more Social Counter block?
And one more question, after update theme, my icon for sharing in posts looks like: https://imgur.com/a/GyLA2
How i can fix it?
And in footer, in section Popular Category, id of catergory is shown. image: https://imgur.com/a/68Znf
How to disable that?
Thanks
If you look at your images you will see this href=”#”
You need to add links where the # symbol is currently. WP Bakery Page Builder was replaced in version 8 of Newspaper.
I would use text view and drop those links in manually but it might be time to upgrade to a later version of the theme and get TD composer running. The principle will be the same.
I just went to do that and looking…..I don’t see the Social Counter in the WPBakery Visual Composer Page Builder. Was it removed? Is it now only apart of the tagDiv Composer? I am not a fan of the tagDiv Composer and stuck with WPBakery Visual Composer. When I go and look at the block, its been converted to a Text Block and I don’t see the Social Counter block.
Hi,
I created this page: http://mxmodels.mx/agencias using WP Bakery Page Builder, and in each image in the “On click action” I select “Open Custom Link” and I entered the URL properly and Updated the page. But when I open the page, the images doesn’t have any link :S
Hope that you can help me.
— sorry for my english —
Hi, I need your help:
i have create this page (http://www.assistentesocialeconte.it/ribellarsi-la-rubrica-del-mediatore/) using the plugin “WPBakery Page Builder” and I have set 2 columns, in the left column i have insert an image so that its width is equal to that of the column.
in this picture you can see how I set up the page:

and in this other image you can see how I set up the properties of the block that contains the image:

- Why the image continues to be rendered incorrectly by displaying its maximum height?
- Moreover, the “On click action” property is not executed and so, clicking on the image, nothing happens (it should go to the home page of the site)
PS: I tried to disable the plugin tagDiv Composer and the image is displayed correctly. (but I can not leave the plugin disabled because I need it for other things).
Thanks for your help!
@epickenyan I’m surprised at how the support team has been handling this as there have been multiple issues (including site speed) being caused by the update but support keeps telling paying customers to do the work. Seems they would go back to the update and make tweaks as this is the real cause of the problem.
I was using Visual Composer (WP Bakery) as it came with Newspaper but we created a page from TagDiv and will try during quiet time of weekend to try another update to see if that makes any change. We learned from last week to do full backup so if problem hits again, we’ve got it covered.
We’ve done all the steps you and others have mentioned to no avail so maybe creating fresh pages will do something, but at this point, anything is possible.
I too upgraded to 8.7. I use both WP Bakery and TD Composer. The site worked fine from the front end, but the entire dashboard was gone… nothing but a white screen. Only by deactivating TD-Composer were we able to get into the back end of the website.
I put my site in a staging area before doing the update because of all the errors people were having. I updated via ftp and updated all of the plugins with the new update. I am only using TD composer, not the Wp Bakery builder. My front page and menu is not workable – see screenshot.
What are people doing to get their sites working again? What plugins have people figured out is causing a conflict.
Thanks in advance
I’m considering to move away from WPBakery (as it seems like it will be discontinued by the developers) and looking for another page-builder.
Playing around with the Tag div composer – but is it right that it only has a few blocks as elements – and that is it?
I’ve used several WPBakery elements like FAQs, buttons, call to action buttons, icon, seperator, tabs, etc.
There is really nothing like this in your page builder as I understand it? So it will be a lot of work – and I’ll need several additional plugins – to replicate the page without WpBakery.
And I read in another thread that other page builders (like Beaver) don’t work with Newspaper? What is the point of that? If you’re going to force everyone to use your page builder – should you not put more effort into making it competitive?
I hope I’m missing something – and your page builder has some opportunities I’ve not seen.
Kind regards
Lars
Publish the fix, please. A similar problem, so I’m using WPBakery Page Builder. Or tell me how to disable the automatic inclusion of the tagDiv Composer after the theme update.
