Below is a screenshot of the problem I am having. I recently moved hosts and since then my visual composer has stopped working. I have tried disabling plugins to resolve this problem. I have tried deleting and reinstalling visual composer.
In the past it brought up all the blocks to edit. In this case I want to edit the front home page blocks, but I cant, they no longer come up for me to edit.

I am adding a custom module and a custom block. I want to add in these a custom_field I have created. I could not find an existing function. can you help.

Another thing thats going wrong is that if I try and do a “2 Column Block” like the block indicates it is… it only does 1 column.. I’ve tried switching the options to 3 columns etc and it still only shows 1.

I may have edited blocks in the theme (I was messing around) is there a way to restore all the default block settings etc without completely screwing up what I’ve already done to my website?
Instead of WP Super Cache, try https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-fastest-cache/ and check on the minify options in the simple settings for WP Fastest Cache.
Worry about the render blocking after you’ve done some of the easier things. Currently there are over 106 requests going out to the server. The plugin should lower that number for you by combining files and getting rid of several other “optimizing” plugins currently active.

Previously before updating to newspaper, i was using the technews demo, after the update there were new demos added. I uninstalled technews demo and imported recipe demo, after saving the recipe demo, my homepage visual composer still had the previous settings regarding the categories.
But recipe demo wasn’t showing, the homepage block contents properly, so i uninstalled the recipe demo and switched back to previous demo, still homepage blocks aren’t showing visual composer contents. But the backend editor shows different blocks.
How do I fix this?

But I did not find in settings the option for the ad block insertion into the smart lists. And now I have to copy and past adsense blocks in every single smart list.
Is the a solution?

I got custom post types workable, even showing up in blocks. There is one problem though: I have set the Category tag on in all blocks. This is working perfectly, but not on posts that are made with a custom post type. This post is set to a category, which is visible after opening the post. At that point the category tag is showing above the post as inteded. Any idea what I can change to achieve this?

The fonts section of the theme panel offers options for every part of the website. You need to identify the parts of the site you want to change. Unfortunately the theme has no such options so that will not be an easy task as the blocks must be changed and conditions added to them to exclude the specific category only for mobile phones. I’m using the demo “say what” and I’m trying to do a post block like this 
block 18 seems to be the closest, but that creates some odd semi-transparent empty stripe on the bottom of the image.

Hi,
The blocks can be configured from block settings and a specific category can be set to it. Please try to filter just a specific category for a block or a sorting option to see if the block responds to the new settings. Also make sure you clear your cache as sometimes cache can affect any setting on your site.
You can also try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files in order to rule out a plugin conflict.
