The difference I see between your example and mine is that you’re not implementing the image in the same way as I am. When I test the image in the header spot, footer spot, etc. it works fine. In fact we also have other animated .gifs on the page that function correctly.

However, we have the page in a 2/3 + 1/3 column configuration. I’m implementing the image in the 2/3 column. First we have a Block 1, then an Ad Box, then Block 2, then another Ad Box (which currently uses Google adwords). see here: http://www.screencast.com/t/glmWHwTdXos

I have implemented the AspirEDU .gif in the 2/3 column at the top using a “Single image” block. Same issue – flickering and squeezing of the image. At the same time I’ve substituted the header image (which is only a .jpg) in the Ad Block position. You can see how the header image (which is 728X90) has been squeezed to 640X80, left aligned and presses up against the section below (Block 2). If you continue to scroll down the page, in the 3rd Ad block position, we’re using AdWords and the full width is being used without squeezing, etc.

Right now, until we figure it out, I have placed a static .jpg image on the page. Check it out – it should be 700X86, but on the page it is only 640X80.

My gut tells me there is something going on with the Ad Block squeezing the image and, as such affecting the display of the animation (as is readily visible in the video examples I’ve send over).

Note: I’ve updated the images we’re using so they now have a black boarder.

One of our old articles has this for its 7-day array:

However, it has not been viewed in months. Unless this article is viewed on days 5 and 6, it will retain those views for that day and eventually, when the weekly numbers are the highest, will show in the 7 day popular block.

Can we delete all entries from the database for post_views_count_7_day_total and post_views_count_7_day_arr? Will this reset the list? Or will it cause an issue?

The theme code was tested and optimized for best performance, we have a lot of clients and the theme works well on a large variety of hosts.
First please make sure that you use the recommended server configuration for Newspaper theme, you can check our documentation for more details: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
There are lots of factors that influence the site’s page-sped. I suggest you first try this without any other plugins active, leave just VC plugin active the check again. To improve the loading speed look the mysql query cache: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/query-cache.html we also use it on our demo.
Also you can use the speed booster to move the js and css at the bottom of the page, eliminate render-blocking, but not for all plugins. Check the System Status if the speed booster is active if you use other plugins than the tested ones. A basic css would be this one:

}

However you will need other customizations in order to make it responsive. For every device you will need different values for the width and height, also for all type of layouts where you will want to use the ad, one, two or three rows. The js error from browser console still appears and I couldn’t figured out why so far. This is a task which require deeper investigations and unfortunately I cannot provide a complete solution now.
When the time will allow us we will take a closer look at this issue but I can’t say now when we will have a fix for it.

I did the test and in page title it works great , but in the post title don´t work on titles if I using visual composer blocks.

after my last Newsmag theme update, I’ve applied again the code modification you’ve suggested in order to display the 970×90 custom ad under the category post grird (please read the above reported previous thread exchanges. It worked perfectly until the last theme update: now, the same modification doesnt’ work anymore (please see the malfunctioning at http://43b.60a.myftpupload.com/category/sport/calcio/)
What I have to do to display that custom advertising ad_box in the desired space i.e. under the category’s post grid?

Unfortunately I can’t make any recommendation in this regard as we didn’t tested any of those plugins with a similar functionality but you can try a few of them and use the on which suits you best. The theme include only the categories from WordPress in block filters. To add your custom categories from your custom post type you will need some customizations in theme’s files.
This is a very complex task which involve many customizations in theme files and I can’t provide a solution now. If you can’t do it yourself my advice is to find someone to help you or hire a freelancer to do this for you as we can’t offer any customization services at the moment.
