Here is the code for the blocks:
1. File: wp-content\themes\Newspaper\includes\wp-booster\td_module.php
Add this: https://pastebin.com/KsfC74zm below the author section
2. Locate the block that you want to use (ex: wp-content\themes\Newspaper\includes\modules\td_module_17.php
Replace this:
<?php echo $this->get_author();?>
With this:
<?php echo $this->get_coauthors();?>
Hello,
Please provide more details so we can better understand how you sorted the block. Please post a screenshot of the block settings you use and an link to your site.
Thank you!
Hi,
The block should display posts based on the filter set to it. I see that the block below the big grid displays post from the category IDs you entered in the filter
– https://www.screencast.com/t/4S0KbsvHfE
Only posts from those categories will be displayed in the block.
Thanks
Hi,
in my homepage I’m using a Block 2 using the “Multiple categories filter” option to exclude some categories putting the relevant negative values (e.g. -1, -6) and the IDs values I used have been retrieved from the “Category filter” dropdown menu. Unfortunately I still found those categories inside my page. Am I missing something or doing in a wrong way?
Thank you,
Andrea
Hey everybody!
Nice theme, thanks!
1) I want to use the “Big Grid Full 7” and “Big Grid Full 10” layouts like in the demo on my front page:
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-7/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-10/
BUT: When I create my page with the Visual Composer and add the blocks “Big Grid Full 10” and “Big Grid Full 7” to my page, they are not filling the full width of my page. When I try to set row setting to “Row stretch: stretch row and content” it looks very weird and bigger than on the demo page.
Any suggestions?
Hi,
Usually there should be a space up there because the theme has spacing between elements by default. You can see this on our demo here: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Please check your custom code or plugins that can alter the css. Or maybe a particular style added to that block in the sidebar. It is hard to say if I cannot inspect the element with the browser inspector.
Try to first check custom code, plugins and css added for the block.
Thanks.
Hi,
Here you can see how all the blocks look, depending on the row layout
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
Use the selection on the right to switch between blocks. The blocks and block design are predefined, there are no additional options to change how they display.
Thanks
Hello,
The modification is made on the module. A block is made out of 1 or more modules. Please check this list: https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-blocks-modules/
Thank you!
I have hidden the “Big_Grid_3” on mobile devices, this seems to be an issue with the unique articles. The featured articles are not being displayed in the block below “Big_Grid_3”.
Hi,
The unique articles feature will work for pages, not posts. The block widgets in the sidebars can be customized in terms of the content they display. The categories can be filtered, posts sorted etc
– https://www.screencast.com/t/oTJHVVYJ
Here you can find more information about all the available block settings
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately there is no way to modify the spacing between modules, these are carefully calculated and fixed. All the columns have fixed dimensions and it is not recommended to modify them. This ensures that the blocks will display properly, some examples
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Itsimx9SrSsZ
– https://www.screencast.com/t/oRb52xUlW
It could be attempted to modify these values but it will break other elements.
The theme width is also fixed and changing it will affect every element on the page, this is highly not recommended
– https://www.screencast.com/t/qhfZART7fc5z
Blocks as a whole can be positioned differently by using the padding and margins that are available in the CSS tab
– https://www.screencast.com/t/EmBIUNmRwj2
But the modules that form the blocks cannot and should not be modified, the results will not be satisfactory.
Stretching can lead to thumbnail issues for some elements, these thumbnails have predefined sizes and will remain the same after stretching their container. This will lead to the result you mentioned.
Thanks
So here’s the issue I have, it has an option for a background ad but there are no dimensions. So I try to upload a 1920 x 1080 background image and it’s covered by the middle column, I can’t ‘stretch’ it as it changes the pixelation of the image. I want to offer my advertisers the background but I don’t have dimensions to give them and the block image sizes for modules are not relevant to the background image. Not sure if I am making sense as I am new to this theme. Thanks Catalin.
My wordfence plugin blocked a bulgarian ip address.
When investigating this ip address I found a webpage on websecurity where this ipaddress is linked to con1.sometimesfree[.]biz/c.js.
On this webpage they also mention tagDiv Newspaper vulnerabilities. Is the info on that page correct and if so are these vulnerabilities solved? Here is the text and link:
Over the summer we’ve seen waves of WordPress database infections that use vulnerabilities in tagDiv’s Newspaper/Newsmag themes or InterconnectIT Search and Replace scripts (searchreplacedb2.php).

Hi –
I’m just about ready to go live with my new theme and have what will probably be my last question before then.
How can I add more padding between the Sidebar Ad and the Most Popular block? I’m just looking for a bit of “breathing room,” say 5px to 8px?
Here’s a screenshot so you can see what I mean: https://www.screencast.com/t/LzbJbOvPvk
Thank you!
Thank you Chris, blocks settings > meta fixed the issue.
Disable from ‘post settings’ ?
Or, for modules/blocks – go to the blocks settings > ‘meta’

is there a way to force a portrait style post block?
We would like to show covers of our publication… and the landscape options don’t do any justice. There are also only 2 portrait post options available…
td_module is work now but how to make it work with td_block_x.php
It’s not the same structure.

Hi,
I have a CTA offering to subscribe to newsletters done earlier with the backend editor: http://natplant.ru. There was a special block for it as part of the editor functionality.
I cannot figure out how to replicate it with the tagdiv composer. Would you please advise?
I also got the “Html code here! Replace this with any non empty text and that’s it.” messages on the main page created earlier with the backend editor. How do I remove them until I’ve recreated the pages with the new composer?
Thank you.
Hello,
The white space does not come from the trending now block if set to display none. Here is the code needed to remove the trending now element:
@media(max-width:767px){
.td_block_trending_now{
display:none!important;
}
}
The white space comes from the page margin. Every page has this top margin which can be removed with this code:
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-main-page-wrap {
padding-top: 0px!important;
}}
Thanks
Hello,
There are multiple ways to avoid duplication in our themes depending on the sorting options you choose for your blocks. The easier one is to simply activate this option: https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles/
Thank you!
Hi,
Each block and grid can be customized in terms of the content it displays
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
There are multiple options to filter the categories or exclude categories for example. Everything is mentioned in the block settings guide.
Thanks
Hi,
Please provide a link to your website so we can inspect it. The content that is displayed on pages in block and grids, is dependent on the sorting option that is selected. But that would display the same content regardless of being logged or not.
Something is interfering and causing the issue. Try deactivating all plugins except theme plugins and check to see if this has any effect.
Also make inquiries to the hosting provider and see if there is any server side cache. This is common these days.
Thanks
Hello SW1988,
If you want the infinite scroll for the page, notice that you can achieve something like this from Block Pagination, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/ (check the block pagination section) Also, if you want the infinite scroll for post pages, the theme does not have any such an option for it, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello af@fiskogfri.dk,
If you want to achieve something like that, notice that you can try using the Text with Title Block and add an image and display it like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/MIuZCmUuT0
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
