Hi,

I suggest you disable all your plugins except Visual composer and the regenerate plugin. Then try creating a test post and add a featured image to it. Then check to see if the proper thumbnail is displayed on a test page with a block. If it is not, try to regenerate just that thumbnail in the media library – https://www.screencast.com/t/hlBsY1d46h46 and check again.

Many problems after update theme 7.8 -> 8 - topic

Hi there,
I’ve just updated the theme from 7.8 -> 8 and now I have lots of problems.
All (visual composer) rows that had a background image or youtube video don’t display no more.
The “Single image” blocks display images full-width’ed (when it was configured as “full” to view the image in real size)
I’ve rolled back to the previous /Newspaper theme folder but I still see everything out of place
Please help!

There is an issue with the manual activation and we will release an update for it. But the normal activation should work, we have tested it and I have successfully activated a client’s theme without any issue.

Hello dominic.ken,

You should change the Image Box Block settings because from there you can customize your Block as you wish, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/hjM1hCWOz If you want to change the font, you should use a bit of CSS code to do this because the theme does not have any such an option that allows you to change this, sorry! If you need more assistance in this regard, please provide your website URL with your Image Box Block so I can take a closer look at it and also, so I will be able to provide a more accurate code.

Hi there, after updating to V.8 some of my blocks are checked to be hidden on desktop and show on mobile but these blocks are always showing in any size…. any idea? thanks

Try this-

Find the style.css file and find the code- .td_block_wrap .

Under it, you will find:

margin-bottom: 48px;
position: relative;
clear: both;

Simply change margin bottom to 20px. That should do.

Am I missing something or you can only place elements in new TagDiv Composer? There are no detailed settings for each block like in Visual Composer. So at the end TagDiv Composer in current state is just flashy WYSIWYG editor of homepage where you can preview changes, but I still have to use Visual Composer to setup all settings of blocks…

Hi,

The theme blocks for example will only work with Visual composer. We have not tested any other page builder. We have not tested the beaver builder so we cannot say for sure if it will even run with the theme, or what problems you may face. You will have to give it a try if you own a copy of the builder and see if you can manage to make things work. Maybe consider making a backup before though, just to be safe.

I have tested the block header 5 style again but it seems to be working properly:

There could be something on your end affecting it.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

I’ve been using Block Header 5 on my front page for the last 3 months (tempolacbrome.ca). Normally it elegantly displays just some of my categories with a “More” button.

All of a sudden, it’s displaying ALL my categories and the layout looks off.

I’m sure I haven’t done anything to the settings. Please help, thanks.

Looks like my first post wasn’t clear enough 🙂

I’m talking about list filtering (not block).
Let me to explain.

Look at Lifestyle Category page:

We see the sub-Categories: Business, Health & Fitness, Recipes, Travel.

I want to show in addition list (or cloud) of tags. And only tags, that are present in posts of Lifestyle Category, and sub-Categories.
When we drill-down into sub-cat, tags list must be filtered relatively.

This approach applies not only tags, but other taxonomy too.

How do I exclude a category from the Popular Categories footer block? I’ve even added a WordPress plugin that excludes the category in question. It works everywhere but in the Popular Categories footer block. Thanks.

Hi,

In order to remove more from author you can use 2 methods:
The css method:

.td_block_related_posts .td-related-right {
display:none;
}

You can add the code in the theme panel-> custom css box.

Hi,

That color is specific to the Magazine demo, it is defined in the demo stylesheet. You can change it with this code to the color you want

Hello alexsr9,

Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option that allows you to add ads for category pages. If you want to add some ads there, you should edit the category pages and use do_shortcode method, like this

If you will check by above screenshot, there you will see the folder name which has to be edited if you want to add some ads to your category pages. This is a simple example but if you want to display more levels in our theme and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom services at the moment, sorry!

Hi,
i have a problem with fonts.
Now i have in Themepanel/Fonts all post titles in blocks set to default, but its a mess – one title is regular, in other block there is a medium, bold etc….
When I tried to change fonts in theme admin – nothing happened. For example i changed Post title in Post page- it worked, but in blocks on homepage didnt. I use for example BLOCK 13 on homepage, i found it on Theme panel/Themefonts/Modules and blocks -aricle title/ MODULE 13- Changed font weight – with no result.

Block header style not applying on custom widgets in visual editor - topic

When I change block header style of site, it is correctly applied to any widget provided by theme, but not on default wordpress ones like Latest comments or Site information. Its problem only with widgets composed to sidebar in Visual Editor, not affecting default WordPress widgets section – they show correctly.

Problem is that when I use WordPress widgets in Visual Editor, header is H2 a with different class. When I use theme widgets in VE, they have headers with H4 and correct class.
