Hello, with all the different grids and blocks, I couldn’t find the biggest thumbnails to use for blog posts. Is there a way to increase the size?
Hello.
I am having a problem regarding the featured pictures of my post and how they look in my home page.
I do not know what dimensions to use in the uploaded photos. I now use 800×450 witch is 16:9.
The problem is that if the article from a block 1 appears in another block also the picture is cropped. And in some cases that they are logos the problem seems even worse.
Is there any settings to setup so the pictures may be resized but not cropped? Is there anything else I can do to fix it?
My url of my website to check the problem is http://1.aagora.gr
Thank you,
Stratos
Hello HadLines,
On the pages, if you want to use the infinite scroll, you should use the infinite load pagination for your block. For more information about this, please check here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/UADGGxBu3 -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
The font color for the footer should be the one set here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/qOsa2yJjuMI
Please check again and see if the color is set properly. Or try this code to make the font color white – https://www.screencast.com/t/sFuHRZtnqeW1
.td-footer-wrapper .block-title > span {
color: white;
}
Thanks

Hello guys.
I recently installed newspaper, and what it looks fine, seems it is not loading everything. I installed Global News demo. the footer code never closes:
<div class="td-module-meta-info">

Tried in ubuntu 14-04LTS and ubuntu 16-04LTS, both with the same results.
Hi, I’m having difficulty, my blockquocte message is very long, when it’s very bad, is there a way to change?
Ok that makes sense. So just so that I understand, each time I upload an image, the theme creates and stores size versions for each thumbnail toggled on in “Thumbs on Modules/Blocks”? So right now, I have 12 sizes toggled on, does that mean each time I upload an image, the theme creates and stores 12 different versions of that image on the server? That will take up server space very fast right?
Hi,
That is the way the theme was designed, and that can be seen in the demo
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
I am positive that you will find a way to create your website using the recommended options provided by the theme. As I said you can try to use the two columns layout with blocks, but it could provide broken results.
Thanks
Hi, I think there was a misunderstanding. I wanted to change the template of the full article’s page. For example when you click on any article and it takes you to the full post, you’ll notice the image is below the title/author.
And the only other block options for articles to feature the title/author below the image makes the image full-sized. I’d like to leave my article block as it is but have the title/author under the image. Is that possible? Here is the url to the page I’m referring to- http://www.segframes.us/featured/walmarts-jet-com-has-a-new-in-store-story/
Hi,
That menu displays like that because the menu items are set to float left one after the other. You could try the code provided below to make the menu items centered
– https://www.screencast.com/t/L5iI8EBhO
It must be entered in Theme panel->Custom Css
.menu-td-main-menu-container {
text-align: center;
}
.menu-td-main-menu-container .sf-menu li {
float: none;
display: inline-block;
}
About the Big grid I don’t understand exactly what you mean. All the elements are responsive by default. The Big grid does have a scroll that appears when needed

Hi,
The theme is based on a three column layout. You can choose from these options in Visual composer when creating a page
– https://www.screencast.com/t/sC8Ctx9kP9
– https://www.screencast.com/t/OYcEseFhZ
– https://www.screencast.com/t/NlwI4l67QBz5
The two columns row layout – https://www.screencast.com/t/KE4XhCH6q may not work properly if you would like to use that. You will have to find a way to display your posts by placing the blocks using the mentioned column layouts. Blocks can look different based on the columns settings, that can be seen by following the link provided above to the live demo, where every block is displayed.
The modules do not have options that would allow to display additional information besides the default one (category tag, author name, date etc)
The module files can be edited directly or through a child theme if you would like to customize them. The module files can be found here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/rjpKhWCIuBt
Please correct me if I misunderstand something.
Thanks
Hello,
I have a problem with the ads, they do not appear at all in header, sidebar and inline block.
Here is my code for each :
<script async src=”//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js”></script>
<!– Skycraper 300×600 –>
<ins class=”adsbygoogle”
style=”display:inline-block;width:300px;height:600px”
data-ad-client=”ca-pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX”
data-ad-slot=”XXXXXXXXXX”></ins>
<script>
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
</script>
<script async src=”//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js”></script>
<!– Billboard 970×250 –>
<ins class=”adsbygoogle”
style=”display:inline-block;width:970px;height:250px”
data-ad-client=”ca-pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX”
data-ad-slot=”XXXXXXXXXX”></ins>
<script>
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
</script>
<script async src=”//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js”></script>
<!– Rectangle large 336×280 –>
<ins class=”adsbygoogle”
style=”display:inline-block;width:336px;height:280px”
data-ad-client=”ca-pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX”
data-ad-slot=”XXXXXXXXXX”></ins>
<script>
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
</script>
In the header (billboard), it’s just showing a blank 970*250 rectangle. The others ads are showing nothing.
Thanks.
I’ve been searching the documentation, but very likely overlooked it somehow. I can’t find how to make an article slider. How to make an image gallery or slider is clear enough. I need to make an article slider on my featured articles block (which is big grid 1).
Hi,
It is strongly recommended that you use only the three blue highlighted columns in Visual composer – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
This ensures the best results for the pages. You could try the other layout columns options but that could not provide the best results. Please try and create you page design based on these recommendations. Here you can see how all the blocks look in all the layout settings – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
Thanks
Hello h.mendoza,
Please keep in mind that all the comments can be hidden from Theme panel, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/IkIYwjk7fa (for posts) and for modules/blocks -> https://www.screencast.com/t/q2r6cu4v
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the message!
Hello Rohit,
Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option that allows you to change the heading type for block title, sorry! If you want to do this, you should check the code of your page structure and check the HTML tag, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ikQSuMob This is a basic example.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
The screenshot seems to be working fine now. If you could provide a link to your website and more details about what exactly you want to change and on what block or module, I will try to give you a solution.
Thanks
Hello,
If you are looking for page speed improvement please note that page speed is a very personal issue. It starts from the host that you use, to the optimization made and all the way down to the content on your site.
Please use this guide to improve page speed: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ and please check this link for a note on speedbooster: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tinymce-advanced-and-other-various-disabling-speed-boster/
Using speedbooster is described in the page speed guide.
The links above are not found anywhere in the code as they are. I have pointed the call to the fonts above. The second and third links are the visual composer css and the main theme css file. You should read the speedbooster instructions on how to move render blocking css to the footer. But this does not influence page speed greatly. The images are the ones slowing down your site. Almost 80% of the page speed improvement will come from image optimization and of course a decent host.
Thank you!
Thanks for the info here, I’ll pass that sizing along.
Regarding regenerating thumbnails – I read the tutorial and went through the process of installing that plugin and regenerating my images. However, I notice that when I add a new image, I still have to manually go in and regenerate that thumbnail for it to fill the blocks correctly on my landing pages? Is there not an option to regenerate thumbs automatically when a new image is added to the site?
Hi,
I checked the documentation and also tried all the pre-designed block modules, but none of them are showing me a 2-columns block module.
I’m using a blank page without any sidebars, but whatever I do, it shows me in 2/3 format and the right sidebar 1/3 is empty.
I want to show post entries directly on my startpage with 2 columns without a sidebar. Can’t get it? Anyone have an idea?
Thanks–
Hi,
That is happening because there is a min-height on the module set here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/XNb5wHGHJx
A solution would be to modify that value like this and see if it works in this case, and for other similar situations if you have any
– https://www.screencast.com/t/uklvrnntO
This is the code used if you want to try it, or maybe modify it as you like
.td_block_21.vc_custom_1493286824590 .item-details {
min-height: 70px;
}
Thanks
Hi,
See this image as reference to my question. We use this code to embed the block 21 into our posts:
[td_block_21 custom_title=”” separator=”” post_ids=”12089″ css=”.vc_custom_1493286824590{border-top-width: 1px !important;border-bottom-width: 1px !important;padding-top: 5px !important;border-top-color: #003399 !important;border-top-style: solid !important;border-bottom-color: #003399 !important;border-bottom-style: solid !important;}” tdc_css=””]
I think it works perfectly except for the border line under the embedded post. I would like to have that border at the same distance to the image as the top border. I’ve tried to set a negative padding, but that doesn’t help. Would that be possible to arrange that line somehow with custom code?
“Live” example: https://eu-uutiset.fi/2017/05/17/eun-tyollistamistukea-suomeen-nokian-entisille-tyontekijoille/
Thanks =)
Hello Danijelmo,
Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option that allows you to add as you wish but only if you will add it through the code. You should edit the td_block.php and add there the code you want and if you aren’t aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom services at the moment, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
