Hello,

I have two problems and I think, both of them is related with each other.

1- Sliders are not working regularly. Slider’s timing doesn’t operate and headers of each post overlapped. It did suddenly, I don’t know why it was. Also, you can see the problem, the half of image is applied effect. But, It also prevents to click to post. You can see the problem here in first slider: https://www.gastesehir.com/yazarlar and second slider similarly in homepage.

2- Now, in any posts, there is no featured image in template style 7. What can be its reason? First, some images cropped half yesterday, today I cannnot see any image in any posts. You can see the sample from here: https://www.gastesehir.com/haber/ressam-bozcali-sergisi-icin-taha-toros-arsivi/

I read many articles in Newspaper forum and tried some css codes. Also, I looked to something in caches and Lazyload fade effects. But, I can’t succeed.

If you clarify what my problem is I’ll be really glad.

Thanks in advance,

Ben Iskander

Tried both of your suggestions and neither worked. Clearing the browser cache returned no change. As I am only running on a test domain I don’t have any cacheing plugins running and there are no conflicting plugins.

Thanks

Hi

This could be a cache issue or a conflict with a plugin. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test this again.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hello,

Please make sure that you updated the theme according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ deactivate all plugins and also you update the plugins included in theme path Newspaper-tf\plugins clear all caches and test again.
If you use child theme for files customizations it’s a good practice to check update_log.txt file for each update and see what files had been modified so if those specific files are used in the child theme you will have to check your customizations to not break the functionality of the theme.

Thanks!

Hello,

I tested this on my end but i could not recreate the issue. I have added 32 videos to a playlist and all of them seem to display fine. Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and clear cache to rule out a plugin conflict.
Let us know how it goes.

Thank you!

Hi

I am not sure why this happens but I suspect that is a cache issue. Try to clear all caches including browser cache and test again. Also try by deactivating all plugins except Visual Composer, just to make sure that there is no conflict then check if the issue is still there.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hello,
Please try to disable all other plugins except visual composer and wp super cache to rule out a plugin conflict.
WP super cache was tested to work with our theme.
Thank you!

Hello,

I placed the code and on desktops is now ok. thank you.

I still see the problem on mobile devices. I cleared the WP cache and the CDN cache.

Try to verify this issue not by desktop with the browser (width <767px) but on your mobile phone. (I’ve tried with an iPhone)

Let me know if you see the issue also.

Thanks

Hello,
If you want to override the wp super cache plugin, maybe you could ask them about a method as they will know best how to do it. Or maybe you can find a solution online:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wp-super-cache-how-to-stop-caching-of-one-single-page
https://www.webhostinghero.com/recommended-settings-for-wp-super-cache-beginners/

I hope this helps.
Thanks.

Hi

I’ve checked your site and found some js error in browser’s console: http://screencast.com/t/eNEq6ymjJo This errors can be caused because of lazy load animation which’s script may conflict with one of your installed plugin. Try to deactivate the lazy load from theme panel > template settings: http://screencast.com/t/8axwxCfc then test again. Also you can try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then check if the problem is still there.

Let me know how it goes!
Thanks!

Hi
Thanks @Chris for your answer.

@vitruvian1618
you can check our documentation regarding the update processes here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ Make sure that you do a clean update, meaning the we recommend to delete the old theme files, clear all caches, deactivate all others plugins that you have it installed, purge cdn files then follow our documentation in order to install the theme again. Also you need to update the plugins included in Newsmag-tf/plugins folder. The only required plugin is Visual Composer, others plugins are optional and you have to update them only if you use them.

Hope this help.
Thanks!

Hello,
Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn if you use it to see if there are conflicting plugins. We have not encountered this issue before so we cannot say for certain where it comes from. Let us know if the problem is still there afterwards.
Thank you!

Hello Diego1888,

I’ve checked your website again and I saw that you have not disabled all the plugins. I found a lot of unknown classes, as you can see here: http://screencast.com/t/WKdTjlavLwhttp://screencast.com/t/sdpNE9X5

Please disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all caches again, and install ONLY the plugins that come bundled with our theme. It is very important this advice because other untested plugins used could cause a conflict and if you have disabled and have enabled only our plugins, you have excluded the reason to create a conflict between plugins.
Only if your problem is still there after this advice, please let us know.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your understanding!

I’m running Newspaper 4.0.2 (I know there are newer versions, it’s just that I have my site exactly the way I want it already and I don’t want to mess it up).

I recently upgraded my site from http to https. Now, when I try to save the Theme Panel, it doesn’t work, and this error comes up in the Chrome JS console:

POST https://churchpop.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php 406 (Not Acceptable) load-scripts.php?c=0&load[]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate,utils,jquery-ui-core,jquery-ui-widget,jquery…:5

In the Firefox web console, it says:

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the quick response. Looked in error console – nothing there and cleared the cache. Still not scroll bars – very strange. Any other ideas?

I’ve written a function that uses a filter to dynamically add an extra page to all of our smart list articles. The function allows me to display a promotion which comes up as the last slide in the smart list.

This has been working great and now I’d like to mix it up a little and randomly show one promotion out of a list of 4 or 5.

The problem I’ve run into is that WP Super Cache is caching the first additional slide shown and my “random” code has no effect.

Do you have any suggestions on how to bust the cache in the scenario?

Thanks!

Hello Diego1888,

I’ve tested on my side and everything seems to work properly. Please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and try it again. After this advice, if your problem is still there, please provide your URL website so we can further inspect the issue.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hi

I’ve tested the latest version of the theme and also the child theme witout any customizations and works fine. Try to deactivate the child theme, deactivate all others plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again. Also check if the changes made in child theme files are compatible with the main theme functionality.
Let us know how it goes please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide your login information and and ftp access so we can take a closer look at the problem, also include a link to this topic. Before that make sure you back up the database and your site: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

Thanks!

Hello,
Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn if you use it. It seems your responsiveness is also affected a bit. This could be a plugin conflict so let us know if you still have this issue without plugins. Also if you have any modifications done, please check those as well to see if there are no open tags.
Thank you!

Hello,
The social counter is not a live counter and it is affected by cache. Please clear your cache from the plugin settings and allow it a few hours. We made it like this so it will not make too many requests to the server. It makes 3 or 4 per day and if you have a caching plugin, then the number will be delayed even more. You can try to reset your id’s in the counter (change them with other ones then switch back to your own id’s) and clear cache again and see if it picks up the correct number.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
