Thanks Matija<

I removed supercache and checked for any other caches, modified the htaccess file and everything is still the same. I am hoping the support guys can come in here so I can give them my login.

Hm… do you or did you use any cache plugin?
There are times when even after deactivating and deleting cache plugin, it leaves the cache folder somwhere with some sort of advanced configuration. You can usually find this files in ‘wp content’ folder.

For example I use wp rocket for caching. When I do migrations from local instalation to hosting or viceversa the wp rocket files are always there and need to be deleted completly.
Maybe this is the case with you too. Maybe there is somewhere cached version of your website being served instead of fresh ones.

Use FTP or file manager to browse trough your website files and check are there some files from caching plugin. If there are, delete them.

————————
Solution no.2

Send email to tagdiv guys with ftp access, admin access, and let them see what is going on.

PS. Check your .htaccess , copy it somewhere, and then delete anything in it but leave this:

# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /test/
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /test/index.php [L]
</IfModule>

# END WordPress

That is there by default, but before you do anything disable all plugins but visual composer.

Well, seems like critical. I would suggest you to remember exact things that you did before you did an update.
Also write down exact steps on how did update go. This goes for plugins too. The exact procedure. This way you can find out what and where it went wrong.

DO you use cdn? If so make sure to flush cache from there too.

Also I noticed you use wordpress 4.2. Try updating it to 4.3.1 (latest version).

I have also noticed that shortcodes are not working too. This concerns all plugins, which means that all plugins are not activated, or your wordpress instalation and database is corupted.

Your website is very much unoptimized, gzip is not even used. Bad condition overall. 🙁

Thank you for all your help.
I remove the JS Composer plugin folder and updated to the visual composer plugin you pointed out, flushed the cache and still same problem. I did actually use the same plugin from the theme update package previously.

I also checked the general settings to include posts and pages.

I am at a loss what to do next. I dont want to lose the last half year of work with a fresh install.

I can give you login info if you want to take a look.

thanks again,

Carbonero

Hello,
Please make sure you update the theme properly. The FTP method is always the best one. You can follow this guide:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Please also disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear your cache and purge CDN if you use it.
If the problem is still there afterwards, please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your wp-admin credentials and FTP access so we can take a look and see where the error comes from.
Also include a link to this topic.
Thank you!

Hi

This issue usually happens due to possible conflicts between theme’s lazy load script and some plugin. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches including browser cache and test again. Also you can try by turning off the lazy load animation from theme panel > template settings: http://screencast.com/t/3atzWAxqg9

Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hi

We have tested the theme security rigorously before releasing and also it was tested and analyzed by Envato reviewers and if would have any security issues would not pass their reviews.
Also I’ve test your site with a malware security scanner and fond some malicious activities: https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/pavlikeni.com/http://screencast.com/t/ktyzW0bxVB Checking our demo too can be seen that is no thread there so can’t be a theme’s issue: http://screencast.com/t/hfBXLFGJSqzD
Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again. Also I found here some resources that may help you fixing this iisues: http://smackdown.blogsblogsblogs.com/2008/06/24/how-to-completely-clean-your-hacked-wordpress-installation/http://vivavivugeek.blogspot.ro/2014/03/detect-and-remove-spam-seo-blackhat-seo.html

Hope this help.
Thanks!

I’ve deleted the old tagDiv Social Counter and installed it again from the Theme Panel. Still showing “0” for Facebook Fans.

Cache has been cleared on both my browser and my site: http://carolinaepicurean.com Still showing “0”.

Hi,
Please clear your cache and check the new plugin with another user. Try ‘cocacola’ for example and see if the likes are being picked up.
Thank you!

Hi zdepth,

I’ve checked again your site and the ads seems to work fine, as well. Please make sure that you do not have any one block ads in your Chrome browser and if you have, please disable it.

For your second request, please disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer and try it again. It could be a conflicting plugin. Also please clear all caches.

After this, if your problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide your log-in information so we can take a look at your page setup. Please also provide a link to this topic so we know who you are.

Thank you!

Hello,
The best way you can go about this is to access your files via FTP and manually install the theme. Delete the old one and upload the new version. You can follow this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Also make sure you clear your cache, remove any plugins and purge CDN files if you use it.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!

Try to clear all caches, deactivate all others plugins, live just Visual Composer, Woocommerce and Contact Form active and test again.
If the problem persist please provide your site url and more details about it so I can inspect this closer.

Hi

The theme code was tested and optimized for best performance, we have a lot of clients and the theme works well on a large variety of hosts.
First please make sure that you use the recommended server configuration for Newsmag theme, you can check our documentation for more details: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
There are lots of factors that influence the site’s page-sped. I suggest you first try this without any other plugins active, leave just VC plugin active the check again.
To improve your server response time you can try to reduce the number of queries (fewer plugins, fewer blocks on page, reduce the elements which use ajax requests/pagination like mega menus/load more/infinite load), also consider using a cache plugin, we recommend the WP super cache plugin with the following configuration: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ To improve the loading speed look the mysql query cache: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/query-cache.html we also use it on our demo.
Also you can use the speed booster to move the js and css at the bottom of the page, eliminate render-blocking, but not for all plugins. Check the System Status if the speed booster is active if you use other plugins than the tested ones. You can find some useful information regrading speed booster usage in this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/speed-booster-questions/
Also you can read this guide, it may help – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

Thanks!

Hi Again…

I tried again on my side & the 2 ads that are in between the content still doesnt appear. Only the header & footer ad appeared. I cleared my Chrome history & problem remains. However it appeared on my Firefox & also on another computer. I could have sworn I seen all the ads appearing my my chrome the other day. Are there any other cache to clear aside from the chrome history?

I’m on newspaper version 6.6 now. On another question, I notice on your screencapture, the ad was scaled down to 640 x 79. The actual ad image is 728 x 90. How do I set the ad size, so that it is the same as my actual ad image size?

Hi,
after updating http://www.latinacorriere.it the following custom CSS is not working:

.td_block_13 .meta-info-container h3{
padding-left:20px
}
.td_module_14 .td-module-meta-info{
bottom: -50px;
}

I also tried to clear cache (WP Super Cache) but still not working.

Thank you for support,
Gianni

First try deactivating and activating visual composer. If it do not help then do this:

Install plugin wp-optimize. But first make backup of your website. Then run wp optimize and while optimizing wp with it make sure u clear ‘transient’ options too. That proces should clear all cached db queries and optimize your database. http://prntscr.com/96lcvt

Hello!

I have been investigating a new plugin called Varnish, which increase the site loading speed significantly. Have you any experience installing this plugin on a server? Here is the site https://www.varnish-cache.org/.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,
Please try it without plugins. Disable all of them except visual composer to rule out a plugin conflict.You can also clear your cache and purge CDN files if you use it. Also if you use jetpack, please disable the photon feature as it is known to cause errors.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
