Hi,

I have checked a post link on Facebook Debugger and it seems to work as expected, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/SRbPlhG4 I did not saw a shortcode on meta description section. Try to remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

That would be how CSS works, in cascade. For example in the header menu, the initial background color is white, also the default underline color is the blue color. The settings you made in the theme panel apply over these initial default colors
https://www.screencast.com/t/10R6rLaE2mEE
So those will be loaded first and then the ones in the theme panel. Depending on website loading speed the effect may be noticeable or not. Try to install a caching plugin if you don’t have one, for better loading speed. We recommend the WP Super Cache.
I could also show you how to remove the initial colors if you should consider that.

Note that this is also somewhat browser dependent, note the difference between loading on Chrome and Firefox.

That block should display an excerpt, like this
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-2/
Check your settings for module 2 – https://www.screencast.com/t/VOeieHDugmfl
Check in the tagDiv composer as well – https://www.screencast.com/t/4tTsRZSXKjQ7
Check if you entered something in the manual excerpt for the posts, that will replace the default excerpts

Hi,

1. There must a module selected, for you it is module 15 from what I can see
https://www.screencast.com/t/EifsPOsIve
If you want to keep using a blog homepage and change the module, you can do it there. Change the module and the blog homepage should reflect the changes. Maybe clear your cache if there are no changes, to refresh the page.

2. If you want the same in your category page, select the same module. Each category template can has a module section option as in the screenshots I provided above. Select module 15 for the same result. Also if you don’t want a category page top grid, disable it like in this example
https://www.screencast.com/t/xWwvLvmwEQ8D

3. You can keep using a blog homepage, there will be no problem.

4. Module 15 shows the whole content of a post. This is different from module 18 you use for that category page
Module 15 – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/category/module-15-layout/
Module 18 – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/category/module-18-layout/
So if you want the same result for the category page, modify it accordingly.
Module 15 does not require a featured image, it shows the whole content of a post, module 18 needs a featured image to create a thumbnail
https://www.screencast.com/t/FtQpH8on
The images are shown in your homepage are not thumbnails, they are images in the post content. Almost all other modules require a featured image to be set for the post.

5. Please change the category page module to module 15 for the same results. Module 15 will show the whole post content as I mentioned above. There are different settings for the blog page and category pages, not a global module selection. Sorry if this is an inconvenience.

6. I don’t know what you are referring to, provide more details about it. What cloning is that exactly?

Thanks

Hey guys, did you manage to get this to work? I’ve been troubleshooting this for days and haven’t been able to get it to work. I’ve even contacted Amazon and they can’t figure out what’s going on either.

I’ve tried (one at a time, obviously):

  • Adding the code in the footer, before the ending body tag
  • Adding the code to the Javascript box in the admin panel
  • Adding the code to the the HTML box in the admin panel
  • Clearing the cache
  • Using incognito
  • Using VPNs from different countries
  • Trying with/without link cloaking plugins

The only thing I haven’t been able to test is having it physically within the <footer></footer> tags. See below for what I mean – at the moment, the script isn’t technically within the “footer” although it’s before the </body> tag:

<footer>
Save
<div class="tdw-more-info-text">Write CSS OR LESS and hit save. CTRL + SPACE for auto-complete.</div>
<div class="tdw-resize"></div>
</footer>

From a technical point of view, I don’t see how it would really make a difference, but it’s the only thing that I can think of.

Hi,

So you successfully save the settings or changes in the theme panel
https://www.screencast.com/t/qg4nkwpBba
Then as you view the website these are not displayed. It could be caching, if you use a caching plugin try to clear the cache. Also clear the browser cache or force refresh the page (should be Ctrl+Shift+R). Then check if the same happens.

I could take a look at the website if needed, mention what settings you are using and I will inspect it.

Thanks

Hi,

If this is your website, there are some mixed content issues at first sight
https://www.screencast.com/t/1Wx8Ujhvn3lB
They are referring to some fonts you are using on the website and could influence loading speed.

Also plugins may slow down the website, try as a quick test to deactivate theme all, leave only theme plugins active, check before and after loading speed.

I see you have both page builders active, that would have a large impact on loading speed. Deactivate the one you don’t use. We recommend that users use the tagDiv composer, we constantly try to optimize this builder. Try as a test to deactivate WPBakery, check the results.

Install a caching plugin or use free Cloudflare. We recommend WP super cache as a caching plugin
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Or use Cloudflare with these settings
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/

Thanks

Hello mira,

If you want to display in full-+width your logo, you should remove the background image of your website, clear all the caches and check the results.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

I have tested this again, using the same header style you are using. I set a background color for the menu when sticky
https://www.screencast.com/t/a5DNdhcrpL
This color applies for me – https://www.screencast.com/t/yoZSZ47V

Do you maybe have caching installed? Clear the cache after setting the color, also clear the browser cache or try with a different browser.

That code you use would have no effect in this matter. Do you have a demo installed? demos may have custom code of their own.

Thanks

Hi,

1. Where exactly is that displayed? The WP super cache plugin is compatible with the theme, in fact it is the recommended caching plugin to use with the theme.
Do you maybe use a different caching plugin also? Or maybe if you previously used one, and you did not uninstall it properly, please check if possible.

2. The mobile theme plugin is provided in the plugins folder, in the full theme package
https://www.screencast.com/t/Zk8WRXuPh
https://www.screencast.com/t/gVBPn2DLycMV
Note that the plugin is optional, find our more about how it works it here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

3. I would have to take a look, to see the problem. Provide a link to you website as soon as possible so I can inspect it. Code should never be displayed on any page.

Thanks

Hey,

My website’s mobile speed is very slow with both Tagdiv AMP version and on the simple mobile theme. Also on homepage, posts, and pages the speed is very slow. Atleast I need fast speed for posts. I am using WP-Super-Cache plugin.

I also followed https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-increase-website-performance/

please help me out to solve the issue.

I am using WP-ENGINE as a hosting provider, but they do not allow the use of a cache plugin, I have already done the other steps mentioned in the guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site- faster /, is there another way to increase performance?

Thank you

1) why is WP Super Cache saying it’s not compatible with this theme,
2) I can’t seem to find the mobile them plugin in the downloaded theme file. Is it not supposed to be there?
3) My mobile home page shows the tagdiv code, and each page beyond that is formatted differently.

Suggestions?

Probably have to google that, ironically. Google shows amp version of pages in serps but may show a redirect link for its cached version of page.

May want to also double check your amp endpoints actually have the canonical link to the non amp page.
