Try to delete cache and disabling all plugins. Sometimes, the TD Composer don’t load or just spinning like a roller coaster lol…

Another question, why not also adopt the full-width template as part of the default theme templates? I tried single template 17 and it made my single posts three times as big with the same cache settings.

Check your page source for the open graph image — whatever image is in your meta data is typically the one which will be ‘shared’ — unless it is too small, wrong format, can’t be loaded directly due to permissions, or if another image was already cached for your home page.

If a random image being pulled, likely means the image is not actually in your meta data, so best to check that first. If it’s there, it’s entirely up to the social site to pull that image — and usually will unless one of the reasons I mention.

I don’t work here, just some feedback.

Hi there,

we are using Newspaper + the mobile theme. Funny thing: since the update from 8.7.4 to 8.7.5 (currently running on 8.8.) the tagDiv Mobile Theme Plugin (version 1.1) is deactivating itself randomly. We do not get any warnings or similar within wordpress, it just deactivates itself and we have to switch it on again. This could then work for minutes or hours until it deactivates itself again.

Our site has around 300k visitors a month – so we should normally see a pattern or a trigger that’s responsible for this behavior, but till now we haven’t found out.

We checked the database logs and the server logs – nothing. We also activated debugging – also nothing related to this strange behavior (just a warning we already fixed).

Any ideas what could go wrong? Did you introduce any changes to the mobile theme related to the last updates of the theme?

Server Setup: nginx, easy engine, fastcgi-cache – worked like a charm till the update from 8.7.4 to 8.7.5

Thanks

Hi,

You can use both WP super cache and the Speed booster plugin, there will be no problem having theme both active at the same time.

Thanks

Can I use the speed booster plugin provided with theme plugins with the WP Super Cache. Can it cause any problem if I decide to run it alongside the WP Super Cache?

Hi,

@reloaded
Indeed, in the homepage it seems not to work, in a post it does
https://www.screencast.com/t/IclNsfVIjTdu
That could be caused by caching, please access the WP Super Cache settings and clear it, or press the admin bar delete cache button
https://www.screencast.com/t/fQsQm7qcUDN

@xnoybis
Be sure to check if the social counter plugin is up to date
https://www.screencast.com/t/7vpFyb7HEO
Then try as well to clear your cache. Let us know the results.

Thanks

Hello,

No, the amp template should not affect it but there is also the cdn to consider and sometimes the host offers a hosting side cache.
Please use this guide to set the cdn properly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/ and try to disable any cache coming from the host if there is one.

Thank you!

Hi,

I configured the WP Super Cache like you said in: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
But we got big problems with release time of our posts. In Browsers like Opera or Firefox the Posts are working normally but on all mobile devices the posts are released about a day later. Is the reason the new integrated AMP Plugin?

Hello biglipper,

I have inspected your website but I do not see any problems with your images. All of these seems to work as expected, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/zeCgEZ3ziAfO Provide some useful screenshots to display the error so I can identify them. Remove all of your caches and check the results.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

So the website is not displaying on mobile, using the mobile theme plugin and super cache. Please try as a quick test to deactivate all your other plugins, leave theme plugins and super cache active. Also clear the cache. Then test again to see if the problem is solved, which should happen. Let us know.

Thanks

Hi,

It should be like in this example for a single post template, first select the template you wish to import and click on it
https://www.screencast.com/t/TcqznPFtMaX
Then click create template and the composer should open with an import dialog
https://www.screencast.com/t/XU7eqxb8upFW
https://www.screencast.com/t/vH1JwOLKoyw

Or as you edit a created template with the composer, use the load template button
https://www.screencast.com/t/EV1DM7HVg3S
https://www.screencast.com/t/YJnQD8BXl
That will replace the previous template, if maybe you do not wish to have many templates created. What button is not appearing exactly? Try to clear the browser cache, or force refresh the page. Let us know.

Thanks

Main ways to optimize your site for ‘speed’ include optimizing images, proper caching, fast server with multiple access points, limit number of thumbs loaded per page in modules, limit number of external sources, consider next gen tech like PHP 7.2 with opcache, mod_pagespeed and HTTP/2 support. Obviously anything you can do on your end like not using external fonts (use web safe browser fonts), avoid “query to external source” stuff like how many social shares, weather, jetpack, etc. — all impact “speed.”

Speed has been a factor for quite some time now, it’s not entirely new.

Have you checked your posts using Lighthouse and checked what you can do now to address issues with your site? Good place to start.

Hello ashubais,

1)You should try to re-save your permalinks, clear all the caches and check the results.
2)You should Go to Cloud Template -> Add New and from there you should choose what you want to create -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Fl7spR6FbGe After you have created your own template and save it, go to the Cloud Templates and there you will see them -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Fl7spR6FbGe

Hope this helps!

Thanks.

Hello,

You probably did not clear the cache after updating the theme. It seems fine from our end. Please check again and clear your browser cache.

Thank you!

Hi,

CSS minification could create problems. You could try to minify it manually
https://cssminifier.com/
Or try as suggested here, some users seem to mention total cache minification creates problems with the theme
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/

Thanks

Hello mecanicaonline,

I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using an older theme version. Please try to update it via FTP way to the latest version of it, clear all the caches and check the results. Remove all of the untested plugins and check the results.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thanks.

Hello,

This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Thank you!

Hi,

It is still happening, because the rocket loader is still active from what I can see
https://www.screencast.com/t/tdZojgHnDFRV

Check again if it is deactivated and maybe also clear the cache

Thanks

Hi,

I would suggest that you disable all plugins by FTP
http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-deactivate-all-plugins-when-not-able-to-access-wp-admin/
Then try to login again if possible, clear the browser cache or try with a different cache as well.
If there is still a problem reinstall the theme by FTP, then check again
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

I found this similar topic also
