Hello Bogdan,
I didn’t translate something yet manually.
I also checked some other settings of the theme and until now it seems that everything works fine.
So, I deactivated all the plugins as you proposed except “visual composer” and “WP Super cache”. I cleared the cache and tried again without any luck.
I don’t use wordfence and I don’t have any cdn files.
Plugin list that I use: Admin Columns, Coming soon and Maintenance mode WpDevArt, Enhanced Media Library, EWWW Image Optimizer, greeklish-permalinks, Regenerate Thumbnails, tagDiv Mobile Theme, tagDiv Social Counter, tagDiv Speed Booster, WP Super Cache, WPBakery Visual Composer and Yoast SEO
Now should I start translating from English to Greek ? 🙂
Hello,
Try to clear your manually translated items and then try to load the translation again. Also check if any other settings from the theme panel are not working. if this is the case, please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reaset cdn files if you use it. Then test again.
Also if you use wordfence, please set the firewall to learning mode.
Let us know if you still have trouble with translations.
Thank you!
Hi,
Yes, that could be the cause of the issue. And you have caching installed so only after the cache was cleared were you able to see the results. Glad it is solved, and try to make modifications and tests on a sub-domain first before altering the live site.
Thank you!
Hello,
Our theme does not change any setting automatically especially setting custom fonts. This is a strange issue indeed. The ads should also be working still as the ad implementation was not changed. My suspicion is you have an untested plugin that is no longer compatible in the latest version of our theme. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test the site again.
Thank you!
Hello,
I have checked your site but could not see any issue. Please check again as your site could have been cached and it since then got cleared. I could not see the issues you mention.
Thank you!
Actually it was not working because I should cache contents from all three places 1. WP Super Cache 2. My hosting server Cache and 3. KeyCDN cache purging.
Now it’s working. Thank you.
Hi,
Please check this without any plugins active except Visual Composer, clear all the caches and check again if the issue persist. Also provide your site url so we can take a look and make sure you check this with a supported browser, you can see them on our envato page – https://themeforest.net/item/newsmag-news-magazine-newspaper/9512331
Thanks!
Hi,
The W3TC is not one of the tested plugins so I cannot make any suggestions, we recommend Wp Super Cache with this configuration – https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
For CDN we have tested cloudflare service with this configuration – https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Thanks!
Hi
Please make sure that you’re using V 4.1 of Social Counter, this version is included in theme’s path, clear all caches then test the site again. Also configure the plugin according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial/
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please provide a link where we can inspect it closer.
Thanks!
I have a very big problem with the plugin W3 Total Cache The problem is that the site stops working after I turn on the function Minify and than {save settings&Purge Caches}.
My hosting administrator said that the problem in the site and its writing, and recommended apply for developers. In The site I also can not connect CDN whole week hosting also said to ask about this problem for developers.
For those who might want to experiment,
we actually use a nifty plugin for quite awhile now called ”
Contextual Related Posts” — which has a sidebar widget, and is nice because it does a cached copy of related items per post in the post meta so actually very efficient.
Can use thumbs, or only text, can be based on cats, content, or tags, I believe.
see
https://wordpress.org/plugins/contextual-related-posts/
Your needs may vary, but we actually use this with TagDiv themes in place of the normal footer related posts, like so
(note the ‘more to read’ bottom of page)
http://californianewswire.com/2016-neurotech-leaders-forum-welcomes-key-startups-and-industry-figures-in-san-francisco/
(( note: site not fully optimized as we had web server crash Aug 5, move to new system, migrating all sites to https, and testing http/2, mod_pagespeed if off, etc. ))

Hello thespokenword,
Please keep in mind that our theme uses a specific system for cropping images which are from center to top It seems that your images do not fit the thumb and that’s why your images are cropped from the bottom. As a quick solution, please notice that you should cutting the top of the image and then re-add to your media library, clear all your caches and check the results.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi
I’ve checked your site and noticed that you’re using an older version of Visual Composer: http://screencast.com/t/Alrb11Qib Try to update the plugin at V 4.11.2 which is included in theme’s path: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ clear all caches then test the site again.
Thanks!
Hi,
the pagination on my static front page works fine, only the canonical tag is the problem.
Please take a look: http://dev.promicabana.de/wordpress/page/3/
In the source cods you see: <link rel=”canonical” href=”http://dev.promicabana.de/wordpress/” /> instead of <link rel=”canonical” href=”http://dev.promicabana.de/wordpress/page/3/” />
I deactivated all plugins, deleted all browser caches – the problem persists. I even installed a fresh copy of the Yoast Seo plugin. It’s always the same: With YOAST – the canonical tag is false; without Yoast – the canonical tags are correct.
Thank you!
Hi
I’ve made some tests on my side with default settings from Yoast plugin and pagination works fine. Try to test the site using plugin’s default settings, clear all caches and check how it goes.
Thanks!
Hello @hasrypost.com and @mickmeaney,
Please keep in mind that you want to change the structure of the date for modules, you will have to edit the corresponding files according to your block used by you. For example, if you are using the Block 3 you will have to edit the modules which make up this block, like module 1, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/whTutD5OFRyy
You will have to use the following snippet of code, like this ->
<?php echo human_time_diff( get_the_time('U'), current_time('timestamp') ) . ' ago'; ?> in the core file, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/ZZYWvi253eL1 Clear all your cache and check the results.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the message!
HI
Thanks @Chris for your answers!
@Msegura909 and @Colourofsunshine the issues are not caused because of Visual Composer license. The plugin comes bundled with the theme and there is no need a license key for it. We always include in theme’s patch the latest version of Visual Composer which currently is V 4.11.2.
Note that older version of Visual Composer are not compatible with latest version of WordPress, that’s why the issue occurs. To make sure that the theme and plugin works fine we recommend to use the latest versions available, for the theme is V 7.4 and for plugin is 4.11.2. Check our documentation for more details in this regard: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ -https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ Also try to deactivate all plugins except VC, clear all caches, purge the cdn files if you’
re using then test the site again.
@Msegura909 we didn’t tested V 4.11.2 of VC with V 6.5 of Newspaper and we can’t guarantee that it will work fine with it. However you can try to update only the plugin and check how it goes.
Thanks!
Hello,
You clear the cahe from the cache plugin that you use and purge cd files from the cdn server settings if you use a cdn server. Plugin conflicts can be the cause for such errors or theme customization. We suggest only using the tested plugins: http://screencast.com/t/P7Z75r8deha and try ti restore the theme to it;s default code. Try to re-update even if you have the latest version. Replace the theme files to be sure you remove any modification. Use this method and choose ftp not the wordpress or automatic process: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Thank you!
Hello,
Facebook does not have anything to do with it as the social counter has multiple social networks to work with besides Facebook. The plugin should show up in visual composer and in the widgets area. if yours does not, please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it.
If you still cannot do it, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can login and investigate.
Thank you!
Bogdan B

Pl advise. Thanks.
Hello revistaopera,
Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme (Newspaper 7.4) and only the plugins that come bundled with the theme. If you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them, clear all your caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and install only the bundled plugins and rule out any conflicts.
Also, if your problem is still there, please try to make a new clean install from scratch and re-install the theme and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
Hi
We didn’t received such reports so far and we’re not aware what could cause this issue. Try to deactivate all plugins, clear all caches then test the site again. You can also test this with a default wp-theme and check how it goes.
Current Version of Visual Composer is 4.11.2 and can be found in theme’s patch which is now available on themeforest. Try to update the plugin according to our documentation and check how it goes: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ also make sure that you’re using V 3.2 of the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/
Let us know ho it goes and if the problem occurs only with Newsmag theme please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
Hi
I’ve checked your site and seems that Work Sans font is set from theme panel for all elements. The theme don’t have an option which will set the same font size for all elements so you can try to change the font only for one module or block title and check how it goes. Also try to clear all caches, purge the cdn then test the site again.
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please check below this is what google speed test tells about the loading of website. Please give a solution to the issue. I have minimal elements on the site but still this is the result. And by the way i am using W3total cache plugin as my host doesn’t recommend Super Cache plugin which you recommend and i have total 6 plugins installed including “WPBakery Visual Composer”.
Your page has 6 blocking script resources and 6 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.
None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following resources to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources directly in the HTML.
Remove render-blocking JavaScript:

Hi there,
I am an enthusiastic user of Newspaper since april. I had a optimized child theme with few and unimportant changes.
It was performing really well, scoring 86-90 on Google Speed Test with no critical problem.
Yesterday I had the awful idea to update it using the ThemeForest updating plugin.
I updated the theme to 7.4 with all the plugins, but my speed terribly dropped. Now no matter how hard I try to work on plugins, cache and other optimization tools, results are poor. Google Speed Test also started to warn about image dimension (all adv not under my control), a warning never showed before.
Not only: visual composer added some information on my homepage I didn’t want to show (like author and comments) and made the Homepage extremely slow.
What happened?
I did nothing technical, just updating to a new version using official tools.
What can I do?
Thank you,
Alberto
