Hello ToniLaird,

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme (Newspaper 7.4). Do you are using the child theme? If you are using it, you will have to switch the theme to the main theme, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Please make sure that you have right made your backup, according to this documentation here -> https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

Hope this helps!

Thanks.

It appears that WP Super Cache is corrupting the tagDiv mobile theme. This started today. I am now using the latest version of WordPress 4.6.1.

I have been using this theme for 3 months now and WP Super Cache too. I had all the right settings in Super Cache, but as of today, it is corrupting the mobile theme. I have disabled it for the moment.

Here is the website in its perfect state when WP Super Cache is disabled: [CORRECT VERSION]

Here is the screenshot of when Super Cache is enabled:
http://www.wrestleview.com/screenshot2.png

I understand that you guys don’t support the WP Super Cache plugin. I need to know what caching plugin I can use with this theme. As I mentioned, WP Super Cache was working just fine until today.

I just tried W3 Total cache, same issue.

Thanks

Hello ozgurtaskaya,

For other users who access this topic, please notice that after several investigations in this regard have concluded that this type of issue come from WP Supercache which is not fully compatible with WordPress 4.6 and that’s why this problem occur. We hope that WP Super cache plugin will be updated it as soon as possible and that problem will be fixed. Notice that this issue appears and on Mobile Theme from Jetpack when the caching plugin is active.
Please notice that we have reported this issue to Jetpack and we are waiting for an update from them. Until that, you should use our workaround posted here -> https://github.com/Automattic/wp-super-cache/issues/132
Also, please try the theme without any untested plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting in the theme.

Thanks for the message and sorry for the inconvenience!

Hi Bogdan!

In this links below you can see that I´m talking about (could be good if you put a tool to upload screenshots on your web)

The first image shows the sidebar looking good, with the correct width, at the top of the page:

IMAGE 1

The second image shows THE SAME POST but at the middle of the page (going bottom with the scroll bar) and has you can see, the sidebar is reduced:

IMAGE 2

How can I fix it?

Is not a cache or plugin problem.

Thank you

Hey Catalin, i did that, but does the code save somewhere else in the files that may be accessed in the FTP? Only reason i ask is because i have cleared the cache after removing the script, and it still seems to be having an effect on things?

This kept happening although I cleared cache. Actually I am using the plugin you suggested and settings are exactly the same as you provided.

I don’t know how to purge CDN files though. Can you advise this?

Hello ozgurtaskaya,

This problem most likely appears due from your caching plugin and from your CDN. Please try to clear all your caches, purge CDN files. Please notice that all of these might influence to serve other files than those that must be loaded and that why these errors appear temporarily.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello Catalin,

Here is the video of the issue, you can see the URL is wrong: http://screencast.com/t/J79Qjabhx1

In my previous message, I sent you the code I used, I guess that’s correct right ? I replaced it in the right folder, and I purged the cache. Not sure why it gives me the wrong URL ?

Here again is the URL I placed at 2 locations:

$buffy = ”;

// column 1 logo
$buffy .= ‘<div class=”td-pb-span3″><aside class=”footer-logo-wrap”>’;
if (!empty($td_footer_logo)) { // if have footer logo
if (empty($td_footer_retina_logo)) { // if don’t have a retina footer logo load the normal logo
$buffy .= ‘' . $td_footer_logo_alt . '‘;
} else {
$buffy .= ‘' . $td_footer_logo_alt . '‘;
}

Am I doing anything wrong ?

Thanks

Hello AdamAL,

First of all, please make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme with the latest version of required plugins (Newspaper 7.4 with Visual Composer 4.12.1 and Social Counter 4.1) in order to achieve best results. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN files, clear all your server cache (and if you do not have any access in this regard, please request this to the hosting provider to clear all of these) if you are using the CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.

For your latest problem, please try to regenerate all your thumbnails using this guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hi,

I cannot see any problems on my side and also you say that it works properly on Firefox so I suspect that it is a problem with your Chrome install. Try to uninstall it and then re-install it and clear all your caches again – https://kb.iu.edu/d/ahic
Also you can try this by using another pc.

Thanks!

Newspaper Theme panel is stucked, using Google Chrome. I see the header style page, but I cannot open any other window. Also the “save settings” botton doesn’t work.

Using Firefox or explorer solve the issue, but I want to understand why the panel does not work anymore with Chrome. I already cleared the cache and the cookies of chrome.

Any suggestion? Thank a lot
