Hello Breakwater,
I have checked your website and I saw that you are not using the latest version of Newsmag. Please try to update your theme to the latest version of it (Newsmag 3) because I have tested with a video from your site to my side and the video has been displayed as properly, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/tsERA1APCo28 Also, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
In the future, please write us for Newsmag forum because all the support for this theme is given there and not on Newspaper forum.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
But did you clear the cache after disabling the plugins? If you use caching the plugin code is still cached so the conflict is still present. Please follow this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-activation-error/
Thank you!
Hi,
Please make sure you have version 4.1 of the plugin first. Then make sure you use this guide to enter the correct id’s: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
Then make sure you clear your cache and allow it a bit of time to update as it;s not a live count and is affected by cache.
Also make sure your social network pages are public so the counter can access them.
Let us know if you still have trouble with it.
Thanks.
Hello laurisplus,
Please ensure that you will have right set it your Slider in order to achieve best results. Please check all the Slide Settings from the Visual Composer backend, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/KK61Yda1 Try to clear all your caches and test it again and see the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi
Try to deactivate all plugin except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using then test again.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hi
The theme is tested and works fine on mobile devices, including Samsung Galaxy S4. I’ve tested our demo with S4 and it works fine. I am not sure why your visitors have this issue but they can try to clear phone’s cache memory then test the site again. Also for an accurate result the tests must be done with a real device not with emulators or other testing tools as the results may not be accurate.
Thanks!
Hello vvymetal,
I have tested on my side and the sidebar is working fine on woo commerce product page -> http://screencast.com/t/pamR3l6tsyv. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi
We apologize for the late delay but we don’t work on weekends and also we’re sorry for any inconvenioces encountered after update..
The theme is tested and it works fine. Please make sure that you update the theme according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ also try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, deactivate the child theme if you’re using, clear all caches, purge all cdn files if you’re using then test again. Also if you have any custom code in theme panel > custom code> custom css filed make sure it won’t affect page’s layout.
If with previous version a custom co worked fine this may not be the case with a new version. Theme’s style has been changed a lot and any custom code can create issues or may not work at all.
@alintiniuc thank you for your tip. Any changes made in theme’s files will be lost during update process because old files are deleted and new ones are uploaded instead.
Thanks!
Hello ericshun,
I have checked your website and I saw that you do not have the thumb created for Block 13, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/wzZOvVL2p Please try to activate it from the Theme panel, as my colleague Bogdan said you above, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/LlCjiRVRnPR and the Block 13 should work like this -> http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-13/ Also, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN file if you are using the CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. It is possible that some untested plugins which you are using in theme to create some conflicts which might create some issue with the thumbs.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello zingolo,
I suppose that you are referring to the appearance of a flash when you enter on your website…firstly is loaded a style and then will appear another style, right? This behaviour appears when you have additional customization through custom CSS code. Please notice that the CSS are working in cascade and the first time will take the code from style.css that is set it by default and then the theme will take the custom code that you have changed from Theme panel and practically this flash is generated by this cause. As a workaround, you have to check your style.css and try to add directly in this file your desired custom code. So, if your problem is still there, please try to revert the theme to the default settings, without any customizations and let us know how it goes. Also, you can try to make a new fresh install from scratch with the latest version of the theme and check the results.
Also, please make sure every time you cleared caches.
Hope this helps!
Thanks.
Thanks for your help. I moved the CSS codes to the style.css file. I cleared my cache and still seeing the same blue header appear before orange. I was wondering if you think it will change after more time has passed, like maybe the cache is not really clear yet…
I deleted the code but it didn’t change. Images are still cropped. I even tried viewing it in a browser that I hadn’t used to look at the site before in case it was in browser cache.
Thanks for that. Can’t believe I forgot about the block settings. However, I turned off the thumbnail for the size I wanted the full image to replace, then I regenerated the thumbnails, but the full size image still won’t appear in the thumbnail’s place–I get an image placeholder that reads “Enable thumb from Theme Panel –> Block Settings”. I also deleted the cache and nothing seems to work.
When I inspect the code, it looks like the site is still trying to pull the thumbnail instead of using the full image.
EDIT: So, when I switched back on the thumb on block setting, the full image appeared in place of the thumb. Because I’m certain I’ll be regenerating thumbnails frequently (still building the site), I went ahead and altered the size of that particular generated thumbnail in the td_config.php file. My question about that is this: I’m using a child theme, but edited the parent version of the td_config.php file–how should I go about setting it up so that my changes don’t get wiped out upon theme update? Should I place a copy of the td_config.php file in my Child theme folder? Thanks!

Hi
I’ve checked your site and noticed that your using page template default for homepage. On this post template the sidebar won’t be displayed when Visual Composer it’s used unless you add it on the page. You can use a widgetized sidebar element from Visual Composer: http://screencast.com/t/WXheJbjhKO You can also make it sticky following this link: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/
Also for posts you don’t have sidebar set. Try to set a sidebar from post editor clear the cache memory the test the site again.
Hope this helps.
Thanks!
Hi
Please make sure that you updated the theme according with our documentation, clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using then test again. Make sure you do a clean update. By this I mean that you have to delete current theme’s install and upload new themes files via WordPress or via ftp: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/
Thanks!
Hello,
A bug in the theme is present on our official demo as well, not only on your end 🙂 Here is how block 16 displays on our end: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-16/
If you made any modifications to the code, please revert them to the theme default.
Also plugins can also cause this type of issues so please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Hi,
1) Please contact your hosting then and let ask if there is any caching set automatically and how to clear it. Make sure you also clear wp super cache.
2) The footer logo on the mobile theme can be removed with this code:
.footer-logo-wrap{
display:none!important
}
3) The minify option we use is this one: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
Hello chapeaurouge,
I suspect your problem come from your untested plugins. Please disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN files if you are using CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Our theme does not alter the wordpress image gallery. You can set the image dimensions from here: http://screencast.com/t/knYTb3jp7K
http://screencast.com/t/oZzR8peoNz
Thanks.
Hi,
We have no reports of this error until now. Please make sure you disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. this could be a simple plugin conflict.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Been working for the last few days working on changing the theme and then I started getting this error. Reinstalled WordPress and still get this error on a fresh install.
Cleared cache, turned off Cloudflare, reset DNS and nothing seems to work.
Anyone help out please?

Hi
This issue it’s caused by cache or cdn. As can be seen here the theme request the css from V 3 but on the page arrives the code from V 2.3.7: http://screencast.com/t/cNGI6pTUIOrH Try to clear all caches, purge all cdn files then test the site again.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please also check our demo with the structure data analysis and see if our demo also gets the error. Of it does not, then it’s something on your end causing it. Either a setting or a plugin that interferes with the post meta information. Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool?hl=EN#url=http%3A%2F%2Fdemo.tagdiv.com%2Fnewspaper%2Fwordpress-news-magazine-charts-the-most-fashionable-new-york-couples-in-2016%2F
(our demo does not get any errors)
Thanks.

Hi @grochu
Please make sure that you’re using V 4.1 of Social Counter and also make sure you have set the plugin according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial/ clear all caches then test the site again.
Thanks!
