Hi,
I’ve installed the theme and the child theme. When i installed the “Redis object cache” plugin and connected it i’ve suddenly logged out of the admin area.
When i logged back in i noticed that the standard WordPress theme (twenty…) was enabled. I again enabled the Newsmag child theme but now i keeps asking to “Please activate the theme!”
If i do this it is succesfull, but when i switch to another area of the backend the notification is back…

Child themes don’t work this way and with good reason. Especially for the fact in how child themes work, you would essentially be loading the same theme twice which would make loading your site extremely slow. Let me explain what I’m talking about.
With a child theme, you still need to have the parent theme (Newspaper) installed on your website… just not activated. The child theme needs to be the active theme. With the child theme active, WordPress knows that Newspaper is the parent theme and to load it first when the visitor loads your site. The child theme loads second the altered theme files after the parent theme loads.
Many users only use functions.php and style.css files in their child theme to make changes to their site. If there are other changes needed for your site that can’t be accomplished using these two files, then you need to find the file in the parent theme that needs editing, COPY it to your child theme folder (put it in the same location where it is in the parent theme… create folders if you have to), make the necessary changes to the file using your favorite code editor, and then upload it to your site using FTP.
When Newspaper updates, you will want to use a program like Diffmerge to show you the differences between the updated parent theme files and the current version of your child theme files. That way if there’s anything profoundly different, you can update your child theme files accordingly to prevent breaking something on your site.
TagDiv has resources on how to use a child theme and has a starter child theme you can download, make changes, and upload to your site. Check them out.

What I need, exactly, is another drag and drop customisable area below the bottom of the articles and the top of the pagination.
Maybe to add one of the author blocks – not with a shortcode but what I wanted was a customised child theme with a new template with a second TagDiv customised area at the bottom – so I could customise what goes there.

Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

The td composer will only work for pages, so posts are out of the question as a start.
You may be experiencing issues due to a plugin conflict. Please disable ALL other plugins besides td composer and switch to the main theme if you use a child theme. Then
test it on a brand new page (add new page)

Please update your theme to the latest version and switch to the main theme if you use a child theme. Also make sure you disable all untested plugins except the theme specific ones to see if there is no plugin conflict.

Ok, Can you tell me where is located the code who display TAG and Category in post so I wanna to copy it in theme child for pages too.

The theme can be updated using this guide (by FTP is the most recommended method)

The main theme update will not be affected by the child theme. If you have customization in the child theme please note that they may require modifications sometimes. Files and elements from the main theme can change after updates, your customization may need adaptation.
A good practice is to have a local testing environment similar to the live website, where you can test to see if everything works properly.

The Theme was fully tested and all of the plugins from this packet should works as expected. Try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way with the latest theme version, clear all the caches and check the results.

I have just tested the slider gallery on pages and it works as expected. You might have a plugin conflict that affects galleries and images. please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. I’ve tried various method to add categories and TAGs to pages:
1. Various plugin like “Post Tags and Categories for Pages ” by ” curtismchale”, “Tag pages” by “Bjorn Wijers”, ecc..
2. adding a snippet (source here https://www.francescodelia.it/wordpress-aggiungere-categorie-e-tag-alle-pagine/ ) in function.php as your guide suggest at https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Within all of those solutions, I can only add category/TAGs to my pages (editing them) BUT I can’t see noting to front end page.
For example, my page http://91.197.229.197/~uroblogi/colica-renale/ belongs to:
– category: RENE, URETERE
– TAG: BRIVIDO, DOLORE AL FIANCO, DOLORE AL TESTICOLO, DOLORE ALLE GRANDI LABBRA, DOLORE LOMBARE, FEBBRE, FREQUENZA MINZIONALE, MINZIONE DOLOROSA, NAUSEA, SANGUE NELLE URINE
But you can’t see on front end page.
Please help me to solve above or likely to represent a page like this http://www.uroblog.it/colica-renale/ (see ORGANI and SINTOMI) using taxonomy (with maybe with some external plugin).

If you want to restore header.php, please download the theme again from envato and copy header.php over your header.phph on your site, replacing the file. Also do this for the child theme.
