Thank you, I know this but honestly I bought WpBakery Composer a lot of time ago for two reasons:
1- I needed for another site (now closed)
2- I hate to see that it has been updated and I have to wait your theme update maybe two months later, is really annoying: now the plugin has been update to 6.0.3 but your theme as 6.0.2. I will have always the update notification and I dont know when a next theme update will come, maybe months…
So I think you should be provide the compatibility also with the payied version, maybe giving the modified files source so who whants can adapt it.
Thank you

Hello !
You can edit some of the footer by going into Theme Panel – Footer and edit the sections that are there but I suggest that the best option for you would be to import a footer from the Cloud library: https://tagdiv.com/what-is-the-cloud-library/ and edit it using the tagDiv Composer.
Thank you !
Hi,
Please try in this way, go in wp-content>plugins>td-composer>legacy>newspaper>archives.php and set after each h1 tag this code
<?php echo term_description(); ?>
-> https://prnt.sc/o1cxa9
this code should show the description set on taxonomies, but you’ll need to make those changes after each update, sorry!
Thank you!
Hi,
Hi,
Unfortunately for the moment there is no option in our theme for this, this can be achieve using some plugin or custom work.
If you want you can check this topic about how to add a new social -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-add-xing-as-a-social-network/#post-58011
Also notice that most of the theme files were moved into the tagdiv composer plugin as per the requirements of envato: https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements.
We wrote an article on the subject here: https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
Thank you!
Hello !
The tagDiv Composer can apply only on elements that are from the theme. The homepage for example can be fully customized using the tagDiv Composer. For standard Header / Footer you will have to go into Theme Panel – Header / Footer and edit there. If you want custom header / footer you will have to add them from the Cloud Library: https://tagdiv.com/what-is-the-cloud-library/
Post pages can be edited only if you use Single Post Template. Make sure that you applied the template sitewide from here: https://tagdiv.com/what-is-the-cloud-library/ Find out more about it here: https://tagdiv.com/customize-articles-with-single-post-templates/
If you face any issues let me know. Eventually add a link to your page and what the issue is so we can inspect it even further.
Thank you !
Hi,
Yes, you can do that -> https://www.screencast.com/t/qHraHzeoJmeQ for html you need to use this element -> https://www.screencast.com/t/jSNQSeHz
Just make sure that you do not have activate the WpBakery, because then some elements from composer will not show.
Thank you!
Also, on the bottom of the page there is this info:
Warning: require(/home/smartpor/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper): failed to open stream: Success in /home/smartpor/public_html/wp-includes/comment-template.php on line 1510
Warning: require(/home/smartpor/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper): failed to open stream: No such device in /home/smartpor/public_html/wp-includes/comment-template.php on line 1510
Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home/smartpor/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php71/pear’) in /home/smartpor/public_html/wp-includes/comment-template.php on line 1510
The site is experiencing technical difficulties.
Hi,
1. It is true that WPBakery has dedicated Woocommerce elements, while the composer does not. It does support Woocommerce shortcodes however, as I mentioned above
– https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/
Shortcodes can be entered in text elements, like the column text. The column text element can display shortcodes. Blocks can also display products, although they can’t be filtered only sorted – http://prntscr.com/o1ap44
2. The theme has general font settings in the theme panel, and also more specific font settings per element in the composer. These specific settings will override the general settings.
I have inspected the website and I see the problem. The font size CSS seems to be coming from a custom stylesheet from a plugin – http://prntscr.com/o1arjv
– http://prntscr.com/o1arob
That code will override the theme CSS. You could remove that code from the plugin, or disable it.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
If there are that may problems, it would be best to return to the previous theme version if that worked correctly for you.
Then if possible create a copy of the website on a staging sub-domain (with the duplicator plugin for example) in which to test the update, and try to identify the problem without affecting the working stable website.
In case that is possible, provide us with admin login to it, so we can attempt to update the theme and see for ourselves what exactly is happening.
In the 9.7.3 more of the theme files were moved in the tagDiv composer. The composer must be active at all times in order to keep using the theme at it’s fullest.
The most important currently known issues in the latest update are with the child theme, but since you don’t use a child theme that is not the cause.
Let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
I just bought your theme and installed Gossip demo. I want it to be black, so I’ve changed everything using TD composer and Newspaper Theme panel. But there’s still a white stripe right under the main menu. And I can’t find a way to make it black. So i’m asking for help.
Hello !
This is the result I got by doing the next steps: https://www.screencast.com/t/xAnIeB9D
1. Added a Blank Single Post Template, Blank Header, Any Footer Template.
Set the footer template to be like here and delete all the content using the tagDiv Composer: https://www.screencast.com/t/S6XdWbY7IRS
2. After I erased all the blocks and unwanted stuff I added a Image box ( Element 1 in first picture ) and a Text with Title block ( Element 2 in the first picture )
If you want to make your Homepage to look like this then you will not need the Single Post template because the Homepage can be edited using the tagDiv Composer directly.
If you have more questions please let me know !
Thank you !
Hi,
The shortcode should be set in column textlike this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/5Owaghye also depend on the shortcode, maybe the tagDiv Composer can not recognizes it, please make sure that you shortcode is working, and there is no conflict wit column text ( check to see if this is working by setting some text inside the wp editor ).
Thank you!
Hi,
In order to achieve that you need first to set the page temple on Page Builder + Overlay Menu -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/ after that build the page using tagDiv Composer.
Thank you!
Hi,
The theme file structure has changed starting from update 9.7. Now it is compliant with the new Envato theme requirements – https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
The js the theme uses is now in the composer file – http://prntscr.com/o18qfm you could enter the code you want there.
Thanks
Hi,
If I understand correctly you want to hide the featured image from post/article, if is so then you need to use a post template without feture image like style 5 or 12 -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/post-templates-2/ or you can use a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library and edit it using tagDiv Composer
Thank you!
Hi,
That is correct, the post template files are now in the composer plugin. They can only be modified there – http://prntscr.com/o1878j in a child theme it isn’t possible anymore. If we should find a safer or update proof way to modify the files from the plugin, we will provide it and create documentation for it.
The child theme functionality is very limited after the recent theme updates, and the guide will be modified as soon as possible.
Thanks
Hello !
Unfortunately you cannot edit that background. You can use a header template from the cloud library and edit it using the tagDiv Composer. You can find more details in our documentation here: https://tagdiv.com/overlay-header-newspaper-theme/
Thank you !
I bought wpbakery composer a lot of time ago, the idea of installing a “free version” makes me not so happy, but I will give a try. Thanks!
I solved it reinstalling bakery visual composer provided within the theme.
same here
If you deactivate the Tag Div Composer, the Wpbakery starts to work again. But if you deactivate the TagDiv Composer the sites goes in errors.
i really dont understand why I’m forced to have the Tag Div Composer active if I dont want to use it. I loved this theme but this thing drive me mad, I hate when some one force me to do something I dont need.
Hi,
Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict with untested plugins, please deactivate all non theme/tested plugins, also if you are using child theme, clear all cache and try again.
Please make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
What is the Cloud Library and How You Should Use It? -> https://tagdiv.com/what-is-the-cloud-library/
Basics: Using the tagDiv Composer Front-End Page Builder -> https://tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-page-builder-basics/
If there is still a problem, please provide some more details an some screenshots.
Thank you!
Hello !
Unfortunately copying and pasting pages doesn’t work for the composer. But as I have inspected your page I think that Single Post Template 4 will fit your needs since it looks almost identical.
Once you’ve set and edited your template using the composer, you can go into Theme Panel – Post Settings – Default post template and set it like here: https://www.screencast.com/t/KCQj8UwX
Hope this helps.
Thank you !
Hello Guys
We are pretty excited about the fact that the mobile theme is fully compatible with the AMP plugin. We have AMP installed and wanted to add some styling and mainly a menu on it as the pages have a high bounce rate.
We tested this on a test installation. Integrated the theme with AMP using the option AMP only (As we have some category pages made on tag div composer that we have not set up for AMP)
The AMP pages now look really good with menu and everything but when we tested the page speed we found that it had reduced significantly
See screenshot of GT metrix : http://prntscr.com/o16qts
Is this normal? If there is such a big difference in the page speed then I guess it does not make sense to use AMP with the mobile theme or are we missing something?
We really need to put at least a menu in the AMP, I guess we should edit the stylesheet and test.
Regards
Ashutosh
Hi Vlad,
Thank you but I already have the default template and downloaded a few single post templates from library. So I can see my articles with the new theme, but I can edit posts using tagdiv.
In preview mode (pages) I have the “edit with tagdiv” button, but then a popup says “The current content hasn’t been created by TagDiv Composer!” So I can only add an element at the top, but can’t move it etc.
With articles, I dont even have the “edit with tagdiv” button anywhere…
Cheers,
Phil
I am also facing another issue. I added icons on the header and: https://gayoutradio.com/
1- in the composer this show normal. however, when I view them ( chrome) the do not show? only the words show
2- on the mobile view, they disappear ( I have set them to show ).
Kindly help,
regards,
