Since moving the site to the new domain (with a new hosting company) it seems the Tag Div Composer plugin is causing the site to break.

When it is activated the WP-admin area doesn’t load.

When I temporarily re-name it / deactivate it, the wp-admin area will load OK.

Any ideas how to fix this?

For example, you have style1 then you can add your custom shortcode at:
wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/parts/single/loop-single-1.php

Hi,

Please make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
WP_MEMORY_LIMIT try to increase it at least to 256mb.
Also please check the php version to be 7-7.2
You need to access your host and use this code in your htaccess file:
<IfModule mod_substitute.c>
SubstituteMaxLineLength 10M
</IfModule>

When tagDiv Composer is not working -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-not-working/

Hi,

Unfortunately with TagDiv Composer you can add only the social icons that are in general -> https://www.screencast.com/t/WR9y2CGu36b
If you want to add a new social please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-add-xing-as-a-social-network/#post-58011

Please notice that you did not extend your support and you are outside of the support period. We have not taken any action regarding the support periods until now but we will slowly start to respect envato rules regarding the support and we suggest you extend your support if you still need our help with your website.

Thank you!

I’ve tried just about everything to get this to work, and boy am I frustrated at this point. I followed the instructions on the update, and as soon as the TD composer activates the 500 error starts. Can’t really do anything unless that plugin works. So for now I just had to revert it back to the old version. Let me know if there are any ideas as to why the composer plugin would cause the 500 error. All other plugins were deactivated, and I even reinstalled all the wordpress files to see if there was some other error. Thanks for a response 🙂

Hi,

I updated to the newest version of the theme just now and it seems to have broken my site… The issue is it’s not letting me install and activate the tagdiv composer.

Below is the error I’m getting… Any ideas?

The plugin does not have a valid header.

Downloading installation package from https://doodlebuckets.com/my_template/includes/plugins/td-composer.zip?uid=5cb79636d2d8c…

Download failed. Not Found

Page is https://www.thenerdystudent.com

I get these two errors when trying to access from mobile. On desktop it is fine.

<!--
		        Error: <strong class="td-wp-booster-title">wp_booster error:</strong><br>td_api_base::mark_used_on_page : a component with the ID: td_theme_plugins_setup is not set.<br>/home2/theneri6/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_api.php (rara-error)
		    -->
<!--
		        Error: <strong class="td-wp-booster-title">wp_booster error:</strong><br>Missing parameter: 'file'<br>/home2/theneri6/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_autoload_classes.php (rara-error)
		    -->

How can I resolve this?

Thanks

Edit: TagDiv composer is the issue here. However, apparently it must be enabled for the theme to work…

I just upgraded to 9.7 and all page templates are now moved from the theme to the td-composer plugin. Here is the relative path:

td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/

Prior to the upgrade, all page templates were in the root of the parent theme:
“page-pagebuilder-title”
“page-pagebuilder-latest.php”

I want to override this page template from the child theme:

“td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/page-pagebuilder-latest.php” – “page-pagebuilder-latest.php” –

I created a folder structure in my child theme as such: “td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/” but the page templates in my child theme are not overriding the legacy files in the plugin.

How can I override the moved files to the legacy folder in the td-composer plugin from my child theme?

Please advise. Thank you!

Hi there!
I can’t see the Head Manager button on the tagdiv composer. In fact it only displays the “add element” button, what makes it a bit tricky to edit the logo and header.
Have I done something wrong?
Thank you!

Hi!

I just bought the theme, and I activated all the plugins. From this the system /wp-admin/ has the blank screen and no more access. So when I disable the tagDiv Composer plugin it works fine again. What can it be? What do I do?

The inability to keep Visual composer is going to cost us hundreds of dollars. We are web designers and have used your theme for a while. This is unacceptable. We need a solution quickly. We purchased the theme with the understanding that we would be able to use VC along with the advertisement features of your theme.

My entire site is built in WP Bakery. Since we are now forced to activate tagDiv Composer, I’m having a few issues with WP Bakery elements showing correctly. Background images do not work, parallax does not show the image, some columns are showing at 100% and single images are not shown correctly. Will there be a fix for this? I’d prefer to not have to rebuild my entire website.

I received the email to update my Newspaper Theme along with another email with instructions on what to do. Thank goodness I did a backup.
I updated the theme and my header and footer disappeared and left a bunch of code in its place. Then, as instructed I activated TagDiv Composer, something that I normally don’t use. When I did that my website disappeared completely and two lines of code were left in its place. Having no other instructions or guidance I restored my site from the backup.

I only have one page on my site that was done in Visual Composer, yet all pages and posts were affected.

Anyone have ideas.

I’ve never had composer installed until it bugged me today. Is it really required for the mobile theme?

Never used to be required, been using the theme for years without an issue. Really don’t like it as I am worried that it will delay pages from loading despite not being used, and like to keep the amount of plugins slim.

Thanks

Hey ho, .
I got notified from Envato that the update to Newspaper 9.7 is already available.

I updated my localhost version and tested my custom headerstyle-10.php
As expected it wasn’t working.

I figured out that the headerstyle-10.php is now located under plugins td-composer/legacy…..

I modified the “new” headerstyle-10.php there and now it seems to be working.
The thing is that my Childtheme is now unnecessary so I removed it completly.

The only problem that I got now, is that every time td-composer is updated, I have to manually replace the headerstyle-10.php in the td-composer folder.

Is there another steady solution?

Best regards

Hi team! I am facing an issue with the TD composer plugin. Activating it doesn’t allow me to use the Ninja Forms plugin. The forms I have created keep loading and never appear. Although when I disable the plugin, the forms show up perfectly. Please tell what can be the issue and how I can fix this. Thanks!

here is my site: thewrestlepost.com

The Newspaper theme update brings a change for the theme implementation.
When you’ll be updating to the Newspaper 9.7 version, you’ll need to activate the tagDiv Composer to keep the Newspaper theme functionality you’ve previously used.
Otherwise, you will have basic WordPress functionality, complying with Envato WordPress Requirements – https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements
Please read this article we wrote on the new update https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/ to learn what it changes and what you must do in order to keep the functionality intact.

If you should need the provisos version of the theme ( v9.6.1 ) you can get it from here -> http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Newspaper-tf.zip

Hi,

If you want to change the width of your sidebar on homepage you need to edit the homepage with tagDiv Composer, click on the sidebar row and change the row layout -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Rcncsbbk , but please use only flex blocks to work properly -> https://www.screencast.com/t/K9TNMNskct
For posts sidebar you’ll need to use a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library edit it like in homepage and set it on posts.

Thank you!

Thank you for your fast replying.
Newspaper’s requirements are respected.
As mentioned in the documentation, activating both plugins makes div extends to 100% and some others disfunctions.
I Actually installed Newspaper on an existing website with hundreds of pages made with Visual Composer. So I need to keep this plugin activated (to not having to edit each post).
I found “Plugin Organizer” wich allow to disable plugins on specific pages (in my case, deactivate Visual Composer on home page). It seems to have solved my problem ! Hope this won’t create ones. May be usefull to @dragonstreet.
