Can we use the elementor page builder alongside with the TD Composer?
Hi, I tried to edit my blog posts page with the TD composer, but it is showing some type of error.
Hi there,
We use the Newspaper Theme v 8.7.2. On our (static) Homepage and several other pages I want to place a sidebar where I can put a a page overview. I read almost all your tutorials about sidebars, tried everything I can think of, but can not get a sidebar in my template. I use tag_Div Composer for my pages. I tried standard Custumiser but that says there are 4 more widget area’s that can not been shown. Tried creating a new sidebar trough Template setting – Page Template – create new sidebar. Then I read I need a widgetised Sidebar block, but there is no widget to be found called Sidebar. I did try to place the widget Pages in Newpaper template, but that doesn’t do anything.
The pages have a big grid on top of the page. They need a single row. The template for pages is 3 rows wide, but has plenty of (white) space on the left and the right. I would like to be able to place a sidebar on the right side, to make navigation al lot easier for my visitors. Is there any way this is possible? How or where do I find a widgetised sidebar that I can customise myself? How to I even make room for a sidebar in this template, wich clearly doesn’t work trough template settings?
Any help is much appreciated!
when u click on nwe page or post , tagdiv compose icon does not appear on editing page..
any idea ?
Did you find a fix for this?
I have the same problem after creating a new frontpage with Tagdiv Composer to replace old made with VC we’re unable to fix the last issue as the “WP Editor” that opens with the “Text with title” item just loads forever. I tried to update the composer from 2.0 to 2.1 ans I still have the same problem.
Often I think of switching to TD composer but one reason I still have not done so is the way it handles images. Look at the following screenshots and pl let me know if there is any word around.
Existing design with Visual composer http://prntscr.com/j536g6
Trial design with TD composer http://prntscr.com/j536vq
Another example:
Existing design with Visual composer http://prntscr.com/j5373j
Trial design with TD composer http://prntscr.com/j5379o
I can understand that the issue is with how both page builders crop or shrink the images but that increases a lot of work to build the page similar to what it looks now if i switch to TD.
Any suggestion?
Thanks.
Balaram
Hi,
I was replying another message and found out that you already answered this one last year… I’m so sorry.
I think all the issues are related to WPbakery page builder.
I’ll give it a try re building all my pages with the Tagdiv composer and let you know.
Thanks again Simion!
Have a great weekend!
I understand your direction to your frontend page builder, and I am trying to move over to your composer. Just for clarification, I was on your composer frontend page builder, trying to add a widgitized sidebar. Building the widgitized sidebar is where I ran into the problem. The widget is there to choose, it’s just not fully functional. Hopefully, you will add this feature soon since its halfway there, so I can get rid of the other composer and/or an additional plugin. Thank you,
Hello again,
I would appreciate if u make that change in the future(1/2 months??) because it would help us very much.If i would like put a shortcode ad into a template but for example only for Tech category is it possible? or if i want to show different shortcode ads to all categories?
Can u please tell me what is the max width for ads in the sidebars?because i want to add in one row two banner ads…
One more thing…in the video for “How category settings work” at the begining , it shows that u can edit the page with the tagdiv composer…is that possible? i mean , can i create a page for the category or not?
thanks again!!
Hello,
The tagdiv composer only works on pages. You cannot use it on posts.
Thank you!
Hello,
Tagdiv composer can only be used for pages. It cannot be use on posts. You only mentioned pages above, not posts.
Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/
Thank you!
Hi,
You could try the solutions from these topics, they worked for users which had similar issues with the composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/
Or it could be plugins that cause the problem. You could check that as well. Deactivate them all as a quick test and see if this has any effect. Let us know.
Thanks
Update: it shows following errors:

I have tried define ( ‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, true ); but same result. What to do
Why is there no TagDiv composer button when creating posts, only pages?
Ok,
We have seen plugins create this issue as well so please disable all plugins except the page builder. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Then test the composer again.
If the issue is still there, please contact us on our email address at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and wp-admin (login information and admin rights) so we can login and investigate. Please also include a link to this conversation.
Thank you!
While creating page through composer, it opens fine but when I am trying to drop elements then that part of the screen became grey and a spinner spins indefinitely. I tried to create new page and also tried to edit the earlier one. both have same results. Composer version is 2.1 and theme version is 8.7.2,
max_execution_time 600
max_input_vars 5000
SUHOSIN installed false
mbstring available
WP Memory Limit 512 MB/request
WP version 4.9.5

I’m not sure that tagdiv composer affects posts. I only use tagdiv comp on homepage as a page. Also, can you guide me how to create custom sidebar for each post? Thanks
Hi,
There is now an option to choose if you want to display reviews on modules
– https://www.screencast.com/t/QvzKizMHcD2F
This option is general however, it will apply to all modules. Maybe this will be added in the composer so you can choose for each block individually. If reviews are enabled the author name and date will not appear on any modules. Maybe a condition would work, you could try it.
Hello,
There were indeed a few issues regarding 500 errors in the previous theme version, but they are fixed in 8.7.2. Most users do not have this problem anymore. Re-download the theme package and install it
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Please also update all of the theme plugin by disabling and deleting the current ones you use and them installing them again from the main theme package you download from envato. Make sure that the tagdiv composer is version 2.1
– https://www.screencast.com/t/qUQ9uTJkd
If the issue is still there, please contact us on our email address at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site, wp-admin (login information and admin rights) and cpanel access so we can login and investigate. Please also include a link to this conversation.
Thank you!
Hi,
The article title fonts and font properties can be changed in the theme panel, for all the modules. Check these sections
– https://www.screencast.com/t/yBTdLCNcDP
Identify the module used and change the fonts as you wish
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-blocks-modules/
Those would be the general settings. If you want to customize juts one block, use the composer font settings
– https://www.screencast.com/t/TWGLzs0dSPq
Thanks
Hello,
You do not need to edit the code to change the row background. Please use the tagdiv composer and the rows settings:
https://www.screencast.com/t/qRINNVLZ8l5
Thank you!
Hello,
You can see all shortcodes from a page if you exit the tagdiv composer and access your page in the back-end mode: https://www.screencast.com/t/ytlEGXi3NkTF
A saved shortcode can only be seen in the tagdiv composer though, but add it to your page and copy it from the back-end on to posts.
However, please note that page builder elements were not tested on posts so I cannot guarantee your element will work properly. Make sure you copy from ‘text mode’ and paste it into posts in ‘text mode’, not in ‘visual mode’
Thanks.
@acdmin There are two sliders provided by the theme at the moment, the slider and the big grid slider, these do not require plugins (they are included in the composer)
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-slide/
Only the Revolution slider has to be installed, the plugin is included in the theme package. This slider is very complex. We provide some demo sliders in the theme package
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-revolution-sliders-on-demos/
Those are sliders that can be seen in the theme live demos.
Hi,
There will be major changes as to how post pages are created in a future update, among many new features and options. The functionality of the composer and integration with the theme will increase considerably. However I cannot provide at this moment specific details about what will be added, or mention a release date for the update.
Thanks
Hello,
Yes you can create a custom sidebar for every page either by creating it in the widgets area as a standard sidebar, or simpler by splitting the row in the tagdiv composer and adding the elements directly on the page. You can try the affiliate html in a raw html element or in a column text element.
Thank you!
