Hi,
If you still are experiencing problems with the menu, maybe a plugin could be interfering with this process. Try disabling all your plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache and try to see if the issue is still present. If it is you can try as suggested a theme reinstall – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-wordpress/ with the latest version and also use only the plugins bundled with the theme package to test this. Also make sure you have the latest version of WordPress installed.
Thanks
Hello,
Visual composer does offer icons for the tab element. You can access the icon from the tab settings: https://www.screencast.com/t/b1HWeoQ8Gi
Thank you!
Hello,
It seems the re is no top margin at all on posts. Did you remove any rules from the css file? The top margin is nowhere to be found in the code either. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!

Hello arslankerim,
I have checked your source page and I saw that you are suing some untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues, like bwp-minify, sorry! You should disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Unfortunately there is no tutorial or documentation for installing the demos that way. The demos are meant to be installed through the theme panel automatically. Trying to install a demo by parts could be more difficult then the one click default installation.
Just to get an idea, inside the demo folders you can find the homepage layout for example – https://www.screencast.com/t/BPtQEcII that can be used in Visual composer, the demo css and less files – https://www.screencast.com/t/NAiSRWIjn or the settings from theme panel – https://www.screencast.com/t/A754eoeyLT that are imported when you install a demo. But there are more elements that can not be added in a different way, only by installation process through the import feature.
Thanks
Hello,
The related articles in our theme can only show posts from the same category or tag as the current post: https://www.screencast.com/t/XMlCwY4J
That is why it;s called a “related” articles post. The articles must be related. If you want to show other posts, you can try to activate visual composer on posts and add a block to your posts. This however is not tested and could provide mixed results: https://www.screencast.com/t/2JEVrikwJl
As for the post titles, please provide an example as I cannot see the issue on your site.
Thank you!
Hello,
Adding blocks to a post is not tested on our theme and could provide mixed results. You can try to activate visual composer on posts and give it a shot but keep in mind that it is not tested or recommended: https://www.screencast.com/t/2JEVrikwJl
Thank you!
Hi,
Usually these kind of issues are solved by disabling problematic plugins and the modifications to the parameters mentioned above. You could try a fresh theme install with the latest version, maybe something went wrong during the installation process – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ and use only the Visual composer plugin provided in the theme package, then make some tests to check if this problem occurs. Only after this consider changing servers, too see if this has any effect in this matter.
Thanks
Hello amphol77,
For more information about how you can update the Visual Composer plugin, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
The elements on the page can be edited/removed/added by opening your page in Visual composer and make the modifications to each of them – https://www.screencast.com/t/cjJSC6CrIiy but I see that you have already managed to remove or modify the respective section from your homepage.
More information about block settings here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Thanks
Hi,
The blocks that are used when creating a page in Visual composer contain different modules. Here you can see the thumbnail sizes for each of these modules – https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
Also on the theme demo you can see all the blocks and Big grids available – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/ – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
These elements are specially designed and come predefined within the theme, it would not be easy to change their properties, and multiple factors have to be taken into account if you want to try and modify them.
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately Visual composer is available only for the creation of pages, if you want to create a new single template or modify one of the existing post templates, here are some guides to help you

Hi there,
Can I install the latest visual composer 5.1 ? Is the theme ready for it or shall I wait for an update ?
Thanks in avdanced :).
OK – I think I have it. The different modules are the blocks that you load up using Visual Composer.
I have just purchased Newsmag and the first step is to install Visual Composer but I get an error message:
The plugin does not have a valid header.
Downloading install package from http://airwars.net.au/wp-ontent/themes/Newsmag/includes/plugins/js_composer.zip…
Download failed. cURL error 6: Couldn’t resolve host ‘–my website url is here–‘
How do I get Visual Composer now?
Might adjust Padding, Margins (may need to use negative margins) – you can get the options from Design Options on Visual Composer popup – last tab.
I am not a coding expert, so I can best play with margins and put things over one another.
Hello there, I’ve updated the theme from 4.6 to 7.8.
I updated theme, wordpress (4.7.3), visual composer and all plugins.
But the home page is full of errors:
[td_slide_big limit=”12″ category_id=”4″ category_ids=”247, 128, 127, 8, 96, 9″ autoplay=”7″]
[td_block2 limit=”8″ ajax_pagination=”next_prev” category_id=”1″ header_color=”#1e73be” show_child_cat=”all”][td_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_1″]

Etc.etc…
You can see the home page here:

Please, can you help me to solve this issue?
Thanks.
welcome to WordPress. FYI, most complex themes use custom classes (e.g., td_) for custom code, custom plugins, and custom CSS to extend Visual Composer; this is partly to keep things organized for developers and also to minimize “collisions” with other theme developers. Most plugin devs do this also, whether it’s Yoast, Advanced Custom Fields (eg., “acf_blah”), etc.
Doesn’t it make sense if the theme has a custom plugin, custom menus, etc. that are intended for its own theme, to use custom classes?
You can use a proper programmer editor to do full search/replace in ALL files but no way to do this by hand, and also it means you won’t be able to do updates to theme without redoing all the changes.
Most savvy webdev folk can “figure out” which theme you use without too much trouble, so you’re not really hiding that from anybody except newbies looking at source code. “real devs” can easily deduce which theme it is.
Hello,
I understand that you receive a lot of support requests and you probably skim read most postings, however, I have tried very hard to do my due diligence in troubleshooting this problem. I am sending the login credentials for the website.
1) As per my post on March 23 “However, if I create a new post and embed the same Instagram post, the Instagram post and not the URL may appear.” I would expect that your test would display the social media posts. Because if I use the same social media post in a new WordPress post, it displays.
2) You wrote on March 27 “The suggestion to disable the plugins was to double check that that plugins are not causing this, since the links seem to work and display properly on my end.“.
I had already wrote on March 23 “I have disabled all plugins.“. I had also disabled Visual Composer to test for a conflict there.
As you stated on March 27, Visual Composer has no effect on the post page, so your statement on March 24 “ Also please install the Visual composer plugin as it is an essential and required in the proper functionality of the theme” implies the problem might be related to Visual Composer. If that was not your intent, then your statement is completely irrelevant to the problem because as you stated, it has no effect on the post page.
Again, this is a dev version of the website for testing. We are using Visual Composer on the live website but we cannot easily isolate the problem with plugins activated.
3) You state on March 27 “After a search on the internet it seems that other people are having this issue with some of the embeds – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/youtube-embed-not-working-anymore-after-451-update/ and it could be a hosting issue.”
However, I stated on March 23 “Switching to 2016 theme solves the problem instantly.”
How is this a WordPress update issue or a hosting issue if the problem is solved by changing from the Newspaper theme to the 2016 theme? And then the problem re-occurs when switching back to the Newspaper theme? Also, did you read the thread YOU linked? It is for a near isolated incident with WordPress 4.5.1 that was resolved with WordPress 4.5.2. How was that supposed to be beneficial to my scenario considering embed work perfectly fine with the default theme activated?
So, let me restate.
Server software Apache/2.4.25 (Unix) OpenSSL/1.0.2g
PHP Version 7.0.17
post_max_size 50M
max_execution_time 600
max_input_vars 5000
WP version 4.7.3
WP multisite enabled No
WP Language es_ES
WP Memory Limit 512 MB/request
Theme Newspaper
Theme version 7.7.1
Theme database version 7.7.1
Visual Composer 5.1
All required plugins (Visual Composer) are currently active. NO other plugins are active. Three themes are installed. Newspaper, Newspaper Child, and 2016. Newspaper (not Newspaper Child) is the current active theme.
With this setup, some social media embed are not embedding.
Switching to 2016 theme and reloading the same page, all social media embed work properly.
Switching back to Newspaper theme, same social media embeds are not working again. Those same social media embeds will work properly if reposted in a new post.
This information combined with all of the other information provided above should clearly explain the problem. I have completely isolated the problem down to the Newspaper theme. It is possible that the Newspaper theme could have a conflict with the hosting environment, however, I have posted my environment information above and I believe that it meets or exceeds all recommendations. Like I also stated above, I am not receiving any errors or noticies alerting me to any problems.
If you have any questions or suggestions that have not already be answered or attempted, please let me know. I would like to get this resolved as soon as possible as it does impact our readership.
Thank you,
Hi,
I am assuming you want to create something similar to the tab element in the Magazine demo – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_magazine/
That is simply a tabs element from Visual composer – https://www.screencast.com/t/Yntw6MqaHcKj containing a Big grid in every tab – https://www.screencast.com/t/Eg0owvfA0
Then a custom class is added to the tab element to further style it – https://www.screencast.com/t/zSi9GfUe7e
Each section of the tab can be customized like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/34Nlx91kq
Please correct me if I misunderstand or you need further help with this.
Thanks
Why i can not update Visual Composer?
Hi,
Seems to be an WordPress warning, a suggestion would be to go back through any changes recently made to the theme files or WordPress if you have made any. You could also try to deactivate the child theme if you are using one. Also try disabling all your plugins except Visual composer, clear your cache and check to see if the login issue is still there. Probably this is caused by a plugin or custom modifications, since we did not have any kind of reports with the login, providing this warning. Please let us know how it goes.
Thanks
Hi,
Depends on what elements you have in the structure of the page, in Visual composer. For example you can stretch a row containing a block like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/6T0CF4cl4 resulting in a full width row. In the latest update there has been added the option to have full width layout on some elements, like the header and footer – https://www.screencast.com/t/hYmPUhejTwa
Here is a tutorial about creating your homepage – https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
Thanks
Hello HeTo25,
I have inspected your website and I did not saw any problems with tag div gallery. Seems to work as expected. Where is the problem? Provide more details about this issue, also, give me some useful screenshots so I will be able to identify the errors. If you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core file and rule out any conflicting plugins.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
