Locate Newspaper-tf folder on your computer and unzip js_composer.zip file: http://screencast.com/t/1tHBWGzmWU
Next try to login on the server via ftp, navigate to your-wp-install/wp-content/plugins and delete js_composer folder if there exist one then upload js_composer folder. After this process is completed go to dashboard and activate the plugin, it should work fine now.
Before making any changes in your site make sure you do a full backup to your current wp-install and the database also: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

Please keep in mind that all required plugins (Visual Composer, Social Counter) come bundled with the theme and you must not buy any license for them because it comes bundled with the theme. The theme is testes and sort order filters work as expected, I am not sure why they don’t work on your side but there could be a conflict so try to deactivate all plugin, leave just Visual Composer active, then test the site again.

On classic blog demo we use header style 11 which don’t have a limit for logo. Try to create a custom image by a size which you ting will fits best on your site then upload it in wordpress and use it as logo, the theme won’t affect it’s size in any way.

Please make sure that you update the theme, main theme, according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ also try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge the cdn if you’re using then try to activate Mobile theme plugin again.

Did you changed the color for that block from Visual Composer’s page builder like here: http://screencast.com/t/dpkwgXpKw ? Checking your site I’ve noticed that the color for that title is given by theme’s accent colors not by the option for title colors.
Try to set the color as I’ve indicated in my screen, clear all caches then test the site again.

The HTTP error is a general one and it could be generated by many causes. First of all, please ensure that your system status is increased to the higher value, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ then make sure if this error is not generated by your untested plugins. If you are using something like that in your theme, please try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Finally, if this error will persist, please try to use the Force Regenerate Thumbnail and regenerate the latest loaded image on your site and check the results because should work as properly.

Hi, sorry i just see the plugin under nespaper plugin. But when i install, it show following error:

I just purchase Newspaper theme. After i install the theme, it come to few plugin and visual composer is required plugin. I install it but failed with error message. Thanks for your reaching us. So, if you want to edit the structure of category page, please notice that you should edit the category top posts styles according to what type of style you are using on your side. For example, if you are using the Style 1, in td_category_top_posts_style_1.php you should inject your table content or through using the do_shoertcode method, you can add the shortcode of your plugin or everything else from Visual Composer elements. look here -> http://screencast.com/t/fngB2iCKOhhi

I have Newspaper 7 installed. Everything seems to work, but some of the sorting options in Visual Composer don’t work. Random posts and Oldest Posts are two examples.
I have tried this without any cache plugin, with every plugin but Visual Composer installed. I have cleaned and optimized my database, and I even tried manually adding the code to the post.
Nothing seems to work.
Any ideas?

Thank you for the reply Catalln. I tried to find the controls you used in the picture that you referenced but they are not in the copy of Visual Composer that I have. Or at least I couldn’t find them after going through the plugin. And when I try to update/activate Visual Composer I get a message that I need to purchase a license of Visual Composer. So what should I do now?

Please notice that you do not need any licenses for Visual Composer because this plugin is a built-in plugin and the licence of it will come bundled with our theme. If you want to have the latest version of it you will have to download the latest version of the theme which is available on Theme Forest. With the latest version will come bundled all the required plugins in the latest version of them.

I have three problems and i need urgent help to get my site going for my customers.
1. My Visual Composer is asking to be updated. I have followed the process for installing the Visual composer as indicated on your tutorial and i still get the message below.

I’ve checked your site and found a js error in browser’s console. This error may affect theme’s functionality and could be caused by a conflict between a plugin and Newspaper theme. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge the cdn if you’re using then test the site again. Unfortunately, you must not buy the License of Visual Composer, sorry! The license comes bundled with the packet which you have downloaded from Envato Market and until now we have not encountered any problem in this regard, sorry!

The theme does not control how Facebook display content picked by its sharer. Indeed it usually works without the scrape but this is not theme’s related, if you check our demo this issue is not there. Sometimes facebook won’t index automatically a new post because of huge amount of data which must be fetched. So you can “force” facebook to index your post by running a fresh scrape as I’ve indicated above.
Also there can be a slow response from the server. When facebook read the page which is shared, it won’t wait to much for requested data. If the response is to slow or for some reasons is blocked the content won’t be displayed properly. You can try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear the caches and check if the problem is still there.
