We would want to apologize for the delay. Because of the huge amount of work that we have to handle sometimes may take up to 48 hour to answer at all tickets. Also there is the time zone that must be taken into consideration. However we do our best to answer in shortest time possible.
Concerning your requests I have to make the following specifications:
– the theme display in its blocks the default wp post type. However we added fields which allows you to display custom post types. That can be achieved by adding post type’s name in this field: http://screencast.com/t/S0dHovgwSS You have to add the exact name of your custom post type in order to be displayed. For example the name of event post type is tribe_events: http://screencast.com/t/eN2dSLBlg Also you have to set a featured image for your custom post type, otherwise the theme will display no-thumb image.
Another specifications refers to this page: http://geospatialworl.wpengine.com/blogs/ Here you’re using blog template which cannot be edited with Visual Composer and won’t display custom post types without modifying the code. You have to switch to a static page in order to have the page-builder from Visual Composer active.

Unfortunately I;m unable to see the “post slider” as you changed the smartlist type and it does not slide now.
In any case, this issue is generally created by plugin conflicts: (browser console errors: http://screencast.com/t/nnR3XDUV) Multiple things break when plugins create conflicts. Please check your search widget in the menu. It does not work as well. That is a js error you have going on.
Please try to deactivate all plugins except visual composer, clear cahche and reset cdn files if you use it.
Then check the smartlists again.

Our tested version of Visual Composer is 4.11.2. -> http://screencast.com/t/YnCQHPA9s and with this plugin’s version the theme work as properly. Please ensure that your issue does not come from your untested plugins. I recommend you to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. After this changes, if you problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so I can further inspect your setup page. Also, please provide the link of this topic so we can know who you are and what the issue is.

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme and also, the latest version of Visual Composer. Also, please notice that this issue does not come from your untested plugins which can interact with the theme and could cause a lot of unknown issues.

These 2 issues you have, are clearly some external css overwriting the theme;s. please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Also if you have customization in place, please make a back-up of your code and restore the theme to it’s default values. In these cases a css fix is not the proper solution as you need to identify the root of the problem rather than covering it up with css.

The new version of visual composer added this activation message but this can be ignored as the plugin cannot be activated as it;s a free version we provide bundled with our theme. Please ignore this message as the plugin will work perfectly fine without activation. We test it with our theme on every release.

After WordPress updated at V 4.5 there appeared a jQuery conflict in our theme. We fixed this conflict and the current theme version available on themeforest works fine, also we included last version of Visual Composer plugin.
Try to update the theme at V 2.3.6, and Visual Composer at V 4.11.2 following our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ deactivate all other plugins, clear all caches and test again.

Please try to insert block 16 on a dummy page alone without any other elements and see if it displays the same way. Please also make sure you only use the 3 column layout suggested here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/

Ok yes thanks updating was easier than I thought. The instructions were great… however after updating the theme and the visual composer plugin I STILL cannot upload new images nor set the featured image. Can you please let me know what to do next?

Yes! I completely updated the Theme via WordPress (the first install, my friend used Filezilla but I found it difficult so I did via WP which was s easy) and made sure Visual Composer was updated! All visuals are displaying perfectly! I only had to redo my FB and IG Feed in the side bar which was easy. – I’m loving this Theme! http://www.davidmotivations.com

However, the Visual Composer is only picking content from http://geospatialworl.wpengine.com/blogs/ which is the native post type in WordPress.
How do we pull the content into Visual Composer from the custom content types! This has become a major hurdle for us to use the NewsMag Theme.
My Visual composer not found when I Update my wordpress version.
I am using an API plugin and have custom blocks, modules, thumbnails, header, footer and top bars. The blocks are no longer registering in visual composer after the update to wordpress. Is this a known issue? When is the fix coming?
I am on the latest visual composer and WordPress.

We need to update our Visual Composer Version from 4.9 to 4.11.2 in order for the plugin to work on Newspaper 6, when WordPress 4.5.1 is installed.
However after the last version of Visual composer in installed we are unable to find the license code to activate this new plugin. Despite connecting my Envato account via the API, no license codes are displaying, I assume this is because the Visual Composers i use across my multiple Newspaper sites are bundled within the theme.
So… How do I activate my Visual Composer licence once upgraded?

Where can I find the Purchase code on my current site.
I have 8 sites running the newspaper theme and have just had to update them so that I may then update to the new wordpress and finally update Visual composer.
However with multiple downloads listed in my Envato account I am unsure which download related to which build. Is there a way to find the purchase code in the backend/theme panel?

Please make sure you have visual composer 4.11.2 as that is the version required for the new version of WP. If you already have this version and it still does not work, you can try to disable all other plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it.
