Hi,
Please make sure you have the latest verion of visual composer 4.11.2 and make sure you clear all caches including cdn files if you use it. You can also try to disable all other plugins except visual composer to rule out a plugin conflict.
Thank you!
Hello dennisjpitocco,
Please notice that our theme does not have the links opening in New Windows. You can check our demo preview here -> http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ and check what I mean. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just the Visual Composer to Active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. If could be possible that one of your untested plugins whcih you are using in the theme -> http://screencast.com/t/1zTU3b83 to interact whit our theme and create this behaviour of your links. Please try without these plugins and check after the results and also, let us know how it goes.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi
Please note that is a public forum and any one can see the information posted here, so I removed your login details.
Also I’ve checked your site and noticed the you’re using an older version of the theme and also Visual Composer plugin is outdated. Try to update the theme at latest version available on themeforest, also update Visual Composer from /plugins folder: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
You also have to set the parameters from system status at values indicated in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ – http://screencast.com/t/GLY634Gp
Thanks!
Hi
This issue was caused by the new version of WP. Please update your theme using this guide:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and then update visual composer to the latest version using this one: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thank you!
I have updated both the newspaper theme and visual composer plugin and still no luck. Please help me find a solution. I am in the process of selling the site.
I run two sites on newspaper. Visual composer has stopped working on both. Here’s what I’ve done so far:
– Updated to latest theme version.
– Installed latest version of visual composer.
I’m in the process of selling one site and this is really embarrasing. What else can I try?
Thanks in advance!
On the WordPress interface of my homepage, the visual composer isn’t showing graphically. The backend editor shows the code. But, previously, I was able to see the construction of my homepage with visuals (and then make changes to it).
Currently, the home page displays as it did before; but I don’t know how to make changes without it showing up visually. The site is http://www.sportsfeelgoodstories.com
Visual composer is enabled and the “Grid Builder” is enabled.
Previously it worked – about 2 months ago. It didn’t work and so I tried updating Newspaper theme (so I have the latest theme and the latest WordPress). It still doesn’t show.
Suggestions for how to get the visual composer to show the visuals again.
Hi,
Please provide an example of how you want it to display as i;m not sure how your about us page looks like. Any page can be edited and content can be added with visual composer.
Please provide a link to your site and an example of the about us page and a page that does not display as you want it to.
Thank you!
Hi,
This area can increase as much as the container width. The ad container is not fixed. Unfortunately the container for posts with a sidebar is just 696 px wide, so a 969 px container cannot position properly. You can however display larger ads inside a row in visual composer that has only one column or inside a post with no sidebar:
http://screencast.com/t/NPkis9OSQ and a post with no sidebar: http://screencast.com/t/NLCeQtmnIs
The ad container is dynamic and it will display the ad as large as the content container allows it to or limited by the ad size.
Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately a them update cannot be made from the dashboard. Premium themes cannot be updated like wp default themes. Please follow this guide to update:
theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
visual composer: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thank you!

As for the revolution slider, please install it from the plugins folder from the main archive and the revolution_slider_5 folder.
The new version of revolution slider and the new version of visual composer will prompt you to activate them using an activation key, but this message must be ignored as they are free versions that do not need activation as they are provided bundled with the theme.
Thank you!
Hi,
The best thing to do is to disable all plugins at once except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn if you use it. Then you can see how your site works without plugins. Check all known errors to rule out plugin conflicts. Plugins can cause all kinds of errors including sidebar issues.
If you still cannot get the post sidebars to pick-up the ones in the theme panel please send us an email at contact@tagdiov.com and provide wp-admin so we can inspect the issue. Also include a link to this topic.
Thank you!
Hello Aldemi,
If you want to expand some areas from your pages, you have to use Stretch Row option from your Visual Composer settings, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/tSPoRmoqJFkM -> http://screencast.com/t/Lor1bVEFXy and the result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/k9j7IVzmI2
Hope this helps!

Hello rodmvin,
Please ensure that you are using the latest version of Visual Composer (v. 4.11.2), clear all cache and check again the results. Also, please make sure that this problem does not come from untested plugins which interact with the theme and cause this issue. We do not have bad reports in this regards and I have tested this sorting on my side and everything seems to work as properly.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks.
Hello sunkast,
As I can notice from your screenshots, you are using the Visual Composer for POSTS that is not recommended with our theme because the plugin was not been designed to be used for posts, but only for pages. Please set your VC only for pages from panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/g2kExmjgNGN
Hope this helps!
If is not what you mean, please provide more details about the problem so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello mohamedelkady,
Please ensure that you have correctly and complete installed your theme. Also, to be sure, please try to make a fresh install of the theme and then only install the visual composer version that comes with the theme. Please remove any other version from the plugins section (disable and remove) and then install it from here: http://screencast.com/t/DwZN21u0VR -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ After this, you should check this video tutorial here -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ss-BEobegAw because it could be more useful for you.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hello erikbaseball2,
It could be a plugin issue. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, please cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. If your problem is still there after this, please provide your website URL so I can further inspect the problem and also, so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

Hello kirstycollings,
Please try to download the latest version of the theme because through this folder you can see the latest version of Visual Composer (4.11.2) and then try to set it according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/ Also, you can update your theme to the latest version because this Visual Composer is tested with version 6.7.1 of the theme.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hello Oasontu,
Until now, we do not have any bad reports in this regard. First of all, please notice that this issue does not come from your untested plugins which can interfere with the theme and create a lot of unknown issues. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
Hope this helps!

Hello Cybi,
Please ensure that you are using the latest version of Visual Composer (4.11.2). The latest version of WordPress ‘break’ the Visual Composer and the VC team released this version of the plugin and this errors it could be possible to appear from this case.
Thank you for the message!
Ok,
I understand, but we cannot do anything from here until your site is live. Sorry. (you could try to re-create your page as you may have a few settings in visual composer like design options or row inside other rows. Try to add just the 2 blocks on another dummy page and see if they position the same or the error is just on that particular page)
Thanks.
Hello alberto.donzelli,
It seems to be a matter of saving. Please ensure that this issue does not come from your untested plugins. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Also, if you are using the Wordfence plugin, please notice that this type of plugin creates some issue through theme and does not allow you to save your settings. Please try without plugins and check the results. If the problem is related to Wordfence plugin, please check this topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/cant-save-theme-settings/ because there you will find a workaround in this regard.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hi,
Unfortunately the plugin is not tested so we have no idea of it’s functionality. Plugin implementations falls beyond what the theme support can offer you. Sorry. (It worked on my end. The fields displayed properly.)
Try to disbale all opther pluigins except visual composer and the Optimizepress plugin to see if there is no plugin conflict. Unfortunately I cannot provide any solutions for it.
Thank you for your understanding
hi – i posted last night about the above, i understand i have to update the visual composer as it is no longer working, but have followed the instructions given however i don’t have access to the actual updated version of visual composer on my computer – i know this is supposed to be included in a theme update but i can’t see how to get this? the only theme update i can see available on my dashboard are for themes called ‘twenty something’ rather than the straightforward newspaper theme i am using.
can you send me a link to where to download the new version of visual composer – we have a subscriber newsletter going out today and i need to upload a story to a page and can’t format it properly without visual composer…
thanks in advance
Hi,
Big grids and elements that cannot have titles get the category tags by default and the color is black by default. The hover color will be the theme accent color you set in the theme panel. For this type of blocks you need css to edit the category tag color or hover color if you wish to change it.
The tag has a block background as it will not get the background color of the titles, only the hover. It’s a styling of visual composer to change the “accent color” for a block. But the default background color is black no matter the title text or background you set for the block.
If you want to change the color of the category tag, you can use css. This depends if you want to change the color of all bocks or just specific ones on your page. If specific ones are the ones you are after, you need to assign a custom css class to the row in visual composer so these blocks can be targeted individually: http://screencast.com/t/zA63YaPPlVnC
Then you would use that class like so:
for a big grid for example:
.mycustomclass .td-big-grid-wrapper .td-post-category{
color:red;
background-color:green;
}
The hover color is more specific so I would need to inspect the particular block you want changed so I can provide the proper code.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
