The new version of the theme only updated the plugins. There is no other change, so if you update only your plugins: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ you will be all set.
You can update to the new version of WP as the issues with visual composer werre fixed in the current version.

@salimnaz is Did you by any chance install the test version of wordpress 4.5 before the release? Visual composer had issues with the new version of WP, but it was fixed yesterday.

today we got a new update and I saw in the changelog there are new versions for visual composer, revolution slider and the theme to 6.7.1. My question is do I have to update the theme files or just the plugins are needed to be updated?

First we would want to apologize for any inconvenience you have had using our theme.
The last update was meant only to fix the jQuery conflict which appeared after wordpress’s last update and also to include the latest version of Visual Composer plugin which works fine with new wp version. we didn’t added any new feature yet but we work at a major update for Newsmag which currently is in development.
I can’t say for sure how much time will pass until the new update will be ready but we do our best to have it ready as soon as possible. However we have to make sure that the new theme’s version it’s optimized for best performances and all its features will work fine. This require a bit of time and lots of tests on different browsers and devices.
With regard at issues of actual theme’s version with Woocommerce plugin I am not really sure what you mean so please provide a link where I can inspect this and more specific details in this regard. I’ve made a few tests and Woocommerce V 2.5.5 works fine with current version of Newsmag that’s why I am a bit unsure at what you’re referring. If you have any issues related with theme’s functionality which affect and Woocommerce please open a new topic and provide all necessary details so we can insect this.

There were no other changes besides plugin updates.
3) The theme was already fully compatible. The plugins themselves were the ones causing issues, that is why we released updates for them.
The new version of the theme with the updated plugins is fully compatible with WP 4.5

There is also a css alternative for this if you add an extra class to the row in visual composer, then you can target a specific block if you want. You can change the color for each module like so: http://screencast.com/t/Bg8gEdEO
You can do this for every module. Simply change the module number in the code and it will apply to that specific module.

Maybe you activated an incompatible plugin? Please try to deactivate all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then check again. Let us know how it goes.

We updated the theme and included the latest version of Visual Composer, V 4.1.1.2, which is testes and works fine with WordPress. Try to update the theme and the VC plugin following our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ clear all caches and test again. Now all theme’s features should work fine with Speed Booster plugin enabled.

Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. this could be a plugin conflict. If the problem is still there, please try to create a new video post with no other content besides the video to see if there is no issue with the post itself. HTML tags left open can sometimes create this effect.

You most likely updated wordpress to the latest version. There was a conflict between VC and the new version of WP but they released an update and so did we. Please download the latest version of the theme from envato and make sure you update visual composer by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

2. The theme does not control the dates sent by contact form plugin. Make sure you setup the form according with plugin’s documentation, also try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer and Contact Form, then test again. You can also test this on a default wp-theme and check the rezult.

Unfortunately, this type of plugin is not tested with our theme and we have no idea about the behaviour of the theme with this type of plugin and also, we cannot say for sure that this will be working fine with our theme, sorry! Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Please keep in mind that this plugin can interact with the theme and can cause a lot of unknown issues in the theme and we cannot provide support for untested plugins.

My newsman was working well until an update of wordpress became available. I updated it, and the plugin ceased to work. I tried to follow instructions on how to activate it. It did not work. I deleted the entire website, and reloaded it. Nothing.
My impression is wpbakery.com has overruled the previous ‘visual composer’ while updating wordpress, and directs you to their website to buy the updated version of the old visual composer. Now, there is a change in the configuration of visual composer as included in newsmag, making it hard to overrule the instructions in the style sheet (CSS).
Can someone help out?
