Hi,

The them doesn’t serve scaled images it uses the WordPress’s built it thumbs system, however some of this images could get scaled or stretched trough css on mobiles due to theme’s responsiveness.

Thanks

Hi,

Unfortunately we have’t tested the theme using the WpDiscuz plugin so I can’t offer you an exact answer on this. I did accessed your site and also noticed that same behavior on chrome also.
Please let me know what theme version you sue and also make sure you disable all plugins also, leave just the VC plugin active, empty all caches, purge files if you sue CDN host, also disable all js/css/html compression and test again.
I’ll also add this on our todo list for further testing.
Let me now how it goes!

Thanks

Hi,

Just decrease the width from the above code to reduce the images size on mobile and and if you want to hide the excerpt on mobile please use custom css to hide it: http://screencast.com/t/XMmQSva2S9L

@media (max-width:767px){
.home .td_block_11 .td-module-thumb .entry-thumb {
width: 150px !important;
}
.home .td_block_11 .td_module_10 .td-module-thumb {
position: relative;
float: left;
margin-bottom: 20px;
}
.home .td_block_11 .td_module_10 .item-details {
position: relative;
min-height: 135px;
margin-left: 200px;
margin-bottom: 40px;
}
.home .td_block_11 .td_module_10 .item-details .td-excerpt {
display: none;
}
}

If you don’t have basic css/html experience I suggest to get someone to do this for you as we cannot offer custom work. Sorry!

Thanks!

I cleared the cache, deleted the browser cache, opened and incognito window but it didn’t change. I appplied the css fix to hide the search bar. It is still briefly visible while the page is loading and disappears within a second. The URL of my site: http://kanalfinans.com/

Hi,

@ShinAkuma5
– You have to compress the images and enable gzip compression – http://screencast.com/t/DrmfFEsgf4sT
Check this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-pagespeed-2015/https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/pagespeed/

@Christopher
– It looks like an empty before element, you could use css to remove it: – http://screencast.com/t/u8Q6ppLOD0h

.widget_recent_entries ul li:before {
display: none;
}

Thank you, Emil G.

Hi,

@Chris

Thanks for the feedback!
I had a look at this and did found an issue with the recent posts widget.
This was caused by the line height: http://screencast.com/t/k9s67Yd6
You can use the css below to fix it until theme’s next version.

.widget_recent_entries {
line-height: 10px;
}

@Finland
Sorry for the inconvenience!
1. I had checked your site’s mobile version to noticed that it look fine now. That happened due to cache. Clearing it should solve it.

2. We’re currently working to add an option to disable the lazy loading feature on images. It will be available soon.
If you don’t need/want this feature you can use the custom css from below to make the images load with the page.

.td-animation-stack .entry-thumb, .post img {
opacity: 1 !important;
}

3. This issue is under our attention also and we’re currently working on finding the cause of this. We will provide fix for it as soon as possible.

Thanks

Hi,

Unfortunately theme doesn’t have an option for this, you can try to use Chrome inspector tool and take a look how this is made on that site – http://screencast.com/t/x9OioH6ps889 and try to add a css code for your menu also.
I suggest you get someone to help you with this if you don’t know how to do it as we cannot provide any custom work. Sorry!

Thanks!

Hi,

Please try this custom css in Theme Panel > Custom Css: http://screencast.com/t/8ieUjvdSfTz0

.single .td-g-rec-id-custom_ad_1{
float: left;
}

For google adsense you have to use td-g-rec-id-custom_ad_1 instead of td-a-rec-id-custom_ad_1 as I did not use adsense in my example.
And now you can hide one on mobile screen from Theme Panel > Ads: http://screencast.com/t/OcID8FG4Ua

Hope this helps!

Hi,

Please edit you header style file and add a div with your logo image like this: http://screencast.com/t/Bd731Jokkn
And add some css code in Theme Panel: http://screencast.com/t/S6drJO1XY5vw

.yourclass{
float: right;
}

Also if you want to hide it on mobile please use this custom css:

@media (max-width: 767px){
.yourclass{
display: none;
}
}

Hope this helps!

Hi,

Please try this css for right border on posts: http://screencast.com/t/0tbHNTbi5aaV

.single .td-container-border:after{
background-color: white;
}

You can replace pinterest social button with your button here: http://screencast.com/t/0k7uhHTNhttp://screencast.com/t/YYbPxKzH
When you update the theme Theme Panel customizations should not be deleted(only theme’s files modifications) but if you want to be sure you can make a backup anyway.

Thanks!

Hi,

You can try to use a fixed width also on mobile view like this and display title and excerpt under the image :http://screencast.com/t/eSzFdzj99vl

@media (max-width:767px) {
.home .td_block_11 .td-module-thumb .entry-thumb {
width: 180px !important;
}
}

Also if you want to display it the same like on desktop please use this css in Theme Panel > Custom Css: http://screencast.com/t/QLMicNRJF6Z
But on very small screens it will look like this: http://screencast.com/t/pHeQo2yiOz

@media (max-width:767px){
.home .td_block_11 .td-module-thumb .entry-thumb {
width: 180px !important;
}
.home .td_block_11 .td_module_10 .td-module-thumb {
position: relative;
float: left;
margin-bottom: 20px;
}
.home .td_block_11 .td_module_10 .item-details {
position: relative;
min-height: 135px;
margin-left: 200px;
margin-bottom: 40px;
}
}

Hope this helps!

Hi,

You can try what css code you want/need in Theme Panel > Custom Css. I just explained to you how this new custom ads will be centered and apply some margin top, to look just like default custom ads. If you don’t have basic css/html experience I suggest get someone to help you with this as we cannot offer any custom work.

Thanks!

Hello! After moving my site from teo-dark.com to teen-spirit.ru some troubles with newspaper showed up. All settings became default (layout settings, background settings, even custom css codes). In the database I swapped all old url to new url (crtl+H teo-dark.com -> teen-spirit.ru in the notepad++) and just copied all website files without changing.

Can I restore my custom newspaper setting or should I fill all fields again?

I went from 1.4 to 1.6 with zero problems last week.

Last night I upgraded site from 1.4 to 1.7.

Only issue I had was NORMAL issues of some of the sidebars getting reset (meaning some of the widgets didn’t save); and had to “resave” the homepage just to reset it. All settings normally carry over due to the built in “transient” settings of WordPress. Everything else was exactly as I’d left it.

You should also be regularly doing backups of your site, theme settings, etc.

If you made custom changes to the core files (e.g., style.css etc.) you would, of course, need to apply those changes to the new files.

1.7 works fine with couple of minor issues, depending on if your hosting co is running old php tech which is really somewhat deprecated.

So far only bugs I’ve had are one spacing issue in a stock WP recent posts widget, and the modules in Visual Composer won’t let me filter by any author except myself.

Everything ELSE is working fine for me in 1.7, but SOME people are having some weird issues which are common with all WordPress site changes/updates like this. Main issue is the use of some code in the theme which is not playing well with OLDER versions of php (we are running PHP Version 5.4.22).

So, check the version of PHP you have … if 5.4.22 or newer, should be ‘mostly’ fine.
OR: wait for a dot revision of 1.7.1 next week, I’m guessing.

Don’t know if that helped or just re-peated the other posts, but my two cents anyway. 🙂

Evertyhing was working fine before. I followed the instructions provided in “How to update the theme” section of the documentation. I followed the “B” method. Now I have this search bar problem. I applied the css fix but this is removes the search functionality.
I am not using a child theme and I would like to have the search functionality back. Hiding it is mereley a temporary solution.

Dear sir/Madam

I have installed the theme and made necessary changes.

Google page speed came up with the result like this

Remove render-blocking JavaScript:
http://www.estambul.net/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.11.1
http://www.estambul.net/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery-migrate.min.js?ver=1.2.1

Optimize CSS Delivery of the following:
wp-content/plugins/jetpack/css/jetpack.css?ver=3.4.1

for the last file there as id “jetpack_css-css

so i have used $this->move_style_to_footer(‘jetpack_css-css’);

For the first two there wasnt any id so i didnt know how to do that.

How i can solve the problem.

Hi Alin,

I’ve tried the above css and just about everything else I could find on the forums and on my own experimentation. So far I am able to give the entire widget contents a border, but I haven’t been able to create the lines to separate thumbs/items and I’ve tried with the code you provided, unsuccessfully.

What could I be missing here?

I hope you can help me with this.

Have an Awesome Day!

Philip

I successfully removed the lines on the single post page by changing the color to white, except for the line on the right; I couldn’t find the css class for it: http://tinypic.com/r/dwz0r8/8

Secondly, how do I get rid of the single post page pinterest social icon and replace it with an email icon so visitors can share posts via email?

I put some codes in the custom css section under the theme panel; will the recent theme update remove the codes? Do I need to copy it somewhere before making the theme update?

Thanks

Hi
no trouble updating to 1.7

One minor CSS bug … with the default WordPress “recent posts” widget, if I place this in sidebar or the footer column 2, there is unusual double line break at begin of each li element.

Other than that, so far, everything works perfectly. 🙂

*FYI:
Not using child theme; mod_pagespeed off while updating; tagdiv speed booster plugin not yet “on” while checking. style.css was minified but otherwise not modified.

NO link to example, as I have it off and using module 9 instead for the moment. Actually needed to do a regen thumbnails for another reason entirely, and sitting here waiting on 9 years of images to regen (!). Ugh.

Hi,

I’ve updated the theme, but now, the theme panel refuses to work. It has been horrible alltogether. I have followed yours and Chris’s how-tos but none of them helped.

This is what I get when I click on “Categories” under “Layout settings”

td_api_base: td_category_walker_panel is not set. A component with the id td_category_walker_panel is missing. This can be due to an older plugin.
/home/androidportal/public_html/wp-content/themes/androidportalv2/includes/wp_booster/td_wp_booster_functions.php

Missing parameter: ‘file’
/home/androidportal/public_html/wp-content/themes/androidportalv2/includes/wp_booster/td_autoload_classes.php

http://puu.sh/gILdu/304dc811f8.png

When I click on anything underneath that, it stays blank. I cannot, therefore, access custom CSS or anything else.

I have done a fresh install of everything, switched the theme to 2015, installed all plugins, but nothing seems to work.

I would really appreciate if you take a look – androidportal.sk

Thanks,
Lukas

Hello,

My ‘margin-bottom’ css spacing looks different on some posts than others.

Each post has the same css styling, and i haven’t added anything on the individual posts either, but the spacing between paragraphs look different.

My default css for spacing:

.post p {
margin-bottom: 23px;
}

I’ll provide links privately for the pages involved, so let me know if you want to look.

Thank you! 🙂

@ineedsolutions thanksk, at least no longer displayed bad LOL XD

thanks to @ineedsolutions, gave an alternative, but should not be the solution via Custom CSS, should improve their updates
I am seriously considering, leaving newsmag as each upgrade, problems, incompatibilities with some plugins as wp-rocket, wpml swtich, should not be problem for a theme premium 🙁

here is a short term fix to hide the search box, add it to the custom css:

div.td-head-form-search-wrap {
display: none;
}

I swear last theme I am buying from tagdiv
