I did not say you where using it,i say you are a plugin that is Async JS and CSS files…

i’ve check ur source code and i see ur files is loaded in asynchronous.

It’s not the theme it’s the plugin u using to “Async JS and CSS” you have to exclude these files in the plugin for the menu to work…

Complains about style.css missing. The fix posted on the website does not work. I manually upload style.css to wp-content/themes as instructed and when I go to my WP Dashboard there is no sign of the Newspaper theme.

The problem I have is that the background image that I have configured is not seen in the Post, in the other sections works well. But in the Post NO …

Removing the tags from post meta? - topic

Hi,

I’ve been using your theme for my blog and it’s great.

There’s a tiny bit of a help that I want. I’m trying to remove the <time> tag that’s associated with every post-meta but it’s hard to find out where to do that. Can you point me in the right direction?

Basically, I just want to remove the <time> tag that goes like this:

I can get it removed through “css” but I want to remove it at the html output level so that search engine spiders can’t fetch that data from my page. Any help would be really great!

You can try to add a div element with your code inside and on that div add a class like td-myad and hide it on mobile via CSS like this:

}

How to unload all the fonts I don't need - topic

I see that the theme always loads these fonts, even when I don’t need them
google-font-opensans-css
google-font-pt-sans-css
google-font-oswald-css
google-roboto-cond-css
google-fonts-style-css

This doesn’t make sense, how to fix it?
(without changing the theme files, I’m using child theme)

Hi,

It can be done via CSS and you add it in Theme Panel -> Custom CSS.

Here is an example:

Then add this custom CSS in Theme Panel -> Custom CSS:
Here I’ve used an icon found on internet but you can try to find a better one if you want or hire a freelancer to draw a custom one for you.

Hi Lucian,

Thank you very much for all the css controls.

I meant to get on last night and say that is was now working.

Now previously on this site i did remove the code in functions.php that adds in the other elements of VC.

When I thought of this i went in and removed those lines of code again and presto it started working fine.

So I am not sure if my previous selections are stored in the database or not, but alas it is working.

Again thank you for your effort in supplying all the code above.

Thanks for your answer, I’ve already change the content background in the style.css file, but the thing I can’t achieve is to change the background outside of the content (in the screenshot you can see that this background is white, instead of clear grey). Do you know how to do that without changing the full width template ?

The background color of the menu can be changed from Theme Panel -> Theme Colors like this: http://screencast.com/t/7yGByZLEX

For the website content background you need to add this CSS in Theme Panel -> Cutom CSS:

Nice! Looks great!

Now the only thing is that I want to completely get rid of the Read more block. And have the freed up space used (so no “visibility: hidden;”)

As you can see here (techplanet.nl) they are in the way 🙂

What CSS code do I use for that?
I tried this: .td_read_more { display: none; }
But did not work

Problems with updating from 3.3 to 3.9.1 - topic

Hi,

We have moved an old newspaper theme based website to our server. It was on the 3.3 version and we have moved the website and updated to 3.9 version.

But, we have found some styling problems.

We have seen the custom.css from the previous designer and we have trying to modify everything there but there are some things that we don’t know how to do it.

Is there anyway we can contact privately with someone who can help us with this?
