If you installed the demo with content, that will import some dummy categories, posts etc. When you uninstall the demo, the process will remove only those dummy categories

Your own previously created categories will not be affected by this process, or by the theme. They should be present in the WordPress categories screen

At the moment there is no option in the theme to change the post width. The tagDiv composer can only be used on pages, not posts.
This is an example of a post with sidebar

Here is a post with no sidebar, the post content has the full theme width

Changing the post content width could only be done with custom code, and it is not recommended. The elements used depend on the theme’s fixed width, changing it could damage the layout.

If you will import the Clear Voice demo, notice that all the style of it will be applied to your website. Also, if you want to decrease the white space you should use a bit of CSS code to do this. Try the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.

There is a part on the front page that I cannot edit / customize by tagDiv Composer.
That’s the part right above the footer (I am using the default demo).
I think the elements are “td-pd-sapn8.tb-main-content” and “td-pd-span4.td-main-sidebar”.
Please let me know how to edit / customize them.

this is newspaper 8 test site before I upgrade from version 7.
However after I upgrade version 7 to 8, it upgraded successfully, but when I installed “business” demo content, existing four categories are missing and it combined with “uncateigories”
one of category has about 1800 post articles. I don’t know, it related with number of article or not. it only lost large number of post article categories.
I uninstall and tried 5-7 times but it failed to install any of demo contents.

You can try using the Revolution Slider because this plugin is compatible with our theme and also if you like the Big Grid Slide or iOs Slider from our elements, notice that you can use them. My site – AjijicToday.com was created with the TopNews theme which I have had a number of issues with. After much research I bought the Newspaper 8 theme. I imported the demo without the content as instructed and now I’m trying to revise my pages, but I am really struggling. I’ve read forum posts and the documentation but I’m still lost. I’m trying to use the Visual Composer to add elements to mirror the ones I had on the pages, but even though I save the edits, when I preview the page there’s nothing there. All I see is code from the previous theme. Really appreciate any help to get me started because I think this theme is going to be awesome.

It does indeed work for the first picture (the featured image). However the second picture shown on the page (girl doing selfie) is not the 696px thumbnail. It screens the full size picture (900 x 560). Same thing for the fourth picture (greek island view).
Is there any way to show the 696px thumbs or is it just possible with the featured pic?

I was looking at the code was able to add a checkbox with vc_add_params
but how do i use the template filter function.
could there be a function that i could put into function.php to modify this element to have this option.
