I’ve been reviewing the demos which come with the theme, and I can’t figure out how some of the blocks of info look the way they do. Here are some examples:
Video Demo – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_video/
Behind the big grid 6 it has a grey background, but I can’t figure out how to do the same on mine.
Medicine Demo – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_medicine/
The block titles have a red background. Where is this set?
What Demo – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_what/
The big grid 4 doesn’t have any gap between the grid images and the underside of the header menu.
How is this removed?
There seems to be a whole lot built into these demos, but I cannot see any way to customise them in the way that these demos exhibit.
FYI. Been pulling my hair out all week over this. I don’t think this is an issue for tagdiv but please readon..any ideas welcome.

The template and plugins work together (with the above versions) when images are specified for “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders”
but….. For those who put the media outside of the wp-content folder, such as yourdomain.com/media/ or yourdomain.com/images/ by adding this code to wp-config.php

and unchecking the media folder at /wp-admin/options-media.php
or settings/media/ uploading files box
Does NOT Work. The Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer: Version 3.16.4 will rewrite your image media path to wp-content/uploads/ regardless.
So if your images are in the images directory you CAN’T use this plugin, Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer: Version 3.16.4
I am not changing my directory and redirecting images. Don’t want any part of that.
I’m also working with their tech support on the plugin to try and find why it’s rewriting to the wp-content path and not respecting the images path I set forth.
If anyone has an idea on how to fix this, I would be most grateful.

I have recently installed say2 what demo of newspaper 7 and I am unable to change some basic colour schemes. Like from theme panel i have changed theme accent colour and header colour to default but it is still showing the theme colour. I have already cleared cache and all but still. Please help 🙁

Do you have an issue importing Newspaper default demo?
Please verify and increase the System Status parameters to at least recommended values – http://screencast.com/t/9RXWZI0YND – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ and also please disable all your plugins except Visual Composer when you import a predefined content.

I build my site with the newsmag 3 demo just for start point then personalized everything now I see your classic blog demo, and I see on the front page the post with big header and below the photo as start content, and I would like to do the same on my site, could you tell me if there is the same feature on newsman 3 demo?

After checking my site with GTMetrics, I found in the Waterfall section that the theme tries to load a JPG that doesn’t exist. I based my site on the Recipes demo, and after completing my site I deleted all JPG’s in the library that are not used anymore. Somehow the theme tries to load a demo JPG through this style:
.td-search-background {background-image: url('http://MYDOMAIN/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/8.jpg');
I don’t know where I can remove that style. I don’t even use an element with class td-search-background as far as I know. I want to remove the call for that JPG because it takes about 600ms for the theme to try and find it. It slows down my site.
Please let me know what to do.
BTW It would be nice to be able to remove any non-used, left-over demo styles after creating a site using a demo? Why is there a whole bunch of non-used CSS loaded? The same goes for unused plugins like bbpress and woocommerce.

We get often this question regarding the differences between our themes. I can tell you that the both themes share the same core so their functionality and performances are similar. The main differences are in designs/appearances and the content area width which slightly differs from one theme to another. Newspaper’s grid width is 1068px while Newsmag’s width is 1021px and the Newsmag’s theme grid has been designed to support the borders you notice between sections of a page: http://screencast.com/t/pNkgzN1Kn8Y5
Other differences also, are appear regarding features, some of the blocks are present on one and missing on the other, for example you could check the Features menu items from each theme live demo and see blocks, modules, post templates… are present in each theme and the design differences – http://screencast.com/t/p87JJpieJd Here you can find our live demos: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/ – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/

As a conclusion, if you have some needed skills using the WP theme, please notice that you will have to customize your theme after your desired standards.

Upon further investigations, I have noticed that your Block layout are different to our demo for Block 3 and that’s why the block it do not display as properly. I suspect that you have some additional customizations which damage the layout. If you have something like this, please try to revert back to the default settings, without any untested plugins and see how it will work. Clear all your caches and check the results.
So, if your problem is still there, please make a new clean install from scratch with the default settings and see how it works.

Our theme has been fully tested with Chrome browser and the sidebar is working as expected. You can try our demo and check the results. Please ensure that you have correctly set your caching plugin because we recommend this method using the WP Super Cache, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ You problem might come from your untested plugins if you are using on your website. Please try to disable all of them and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. As long as the Sidebar is working fine on our demo preview, means that the problems is on your side and not from our theme. Please notice that every demo has been custom made and it involves custom work. The Big Grids are different in Newsmag than to Newspaper and if it not a simple task to achieve the similar layout, sorry! If you want to develop our theme and you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!

Footer in elagite.info puts an .outer-grap (1164px) by default. We need it full width-ed on the page as it shows in the default demo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Any ideas on how to proceed? Maybe adding some custom css code?

On the demo website, we can see examples of modules 1 to 19 (https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/) but nothing about the MX ones.
What are the looks or design of the Modules MX?
More, it is a little bit difficult to understand exactly what are modules and their multiple uses.
We can use them for category page layouts, for Archive template and in blocks.
I can’t find any documentation to explain all this. A simple information and definition on modules could be useful.
