Hi
I believe it happens due to your server configuration which is not responding, it could be due to a delay or it could also be a temporary issues so you can try this a few times and if you still get this error please contact your host provider and let him know about this, ask them to unblock our demo in order to retrieve the theme data. It could also happen due to your wp install or other plugins might also cause this so you could also test this on a fresh wp install and let us know if you still get the same result. Also make sure that your permission for the upload folder are set correct. You can try this by trying to upload an image in media library. If the process succeeds then the permission are ok. If not you can use the c-panel to change permissions (set them to 777) if you have access to it or if not please contact your hosting provider.
Hope this help.
Thanks

Hi Bogdan!
Thanks for a very fast reply. Last Q about this 🙂 I seem to have been used to something like this:
http://demo.goodlayers.com/versatile/
I thougt this was kind of standard. Is this possible? How is it made?
/ BTW Thank You for a VERY good theme! Someone said “Swiss army knife of themes”. I agree.
I can’t install the demo content on my Website.
I’ve already activated the theme with my purchase code.

Hi Bogdan,
For example, http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_travel/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/42.jpg will appear fine on a retina display, but http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_travel/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/42-696×464.jpg (used as a featured image) will show up with a lower quality despite having the same display dimensions.
To recreate,
Insert featured image on http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_travel/td-post-could-shanghais-disneyland-be-cooler-than-walt-disney/ into the blog post itself as an inline image.
Open the blog post on a device with retina display, and you’ll see the difference between the two images (featured vs inline) in terms of quality even though they share the same display dimensions.
Hi. I tried to install demos by the install demo function of this theme, but it always show an error and fails, please see my attached image

Is there a way to fix the error or another methods to install the demos?
Hi,
Yes, the old menu icons are not used in the current version of the theme. You can use our live demo as reference: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Thank you!
Hello,
I am using the default template for news, as in your demo. The template name is: Pagebuilder+latest-articles+pagination. The latest articles row block settings is not in the template.

Hi, from few days ago, I started to have issues with facebook share posts.
It is not just the case with my original website, but with all websites and hostings whereever I tested it.
I even installed clean instalation on complete different server with different domain. I installed DEMO.
When I share posts on facebook it in most cases fails to pull the FEATURED image.
Sometimes it pulls featured image, sometimes not, but there are times and ”places” where it do not pull f.image at all.
Funny.
The google+ post share is working normal.
Seems like fb is having some dificulties with pulling featured images from post for some reason.
Can you please check it out.
I have an example of the above problem to demonstrate

Here as you see “Γεγονότα” is a hidden category, and you can see it doesn’t show on the category tags.
However its fully visible as a breadcrumb.
Hi,
Please disable Photon module from Jetpack as I have checked your site and you have this issue – http://screencast.com/t/o0whpae5 We don’t recommend using that photon module as the theme works based on the same system so we suggest you disable it. Or if you use CDN try to disable it.
Regarding the columns please provide a screenshot from our demo – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ as I’m not really sure what you mean.
Thanks!
Hello,
Our health and fitness demo uses header style 6. I see you use header style 7. Here is a list of header styles you can chose from: https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/
Thank you!
Hi, I really am having a hard time figure out how to make the columns look like the demo… that is, how to group up posts under small 4-box segments? Right now, I can only list them. How to make the side bar more along the lines of two-bar, with more posts?
My site is: http://www.twothirdsoftheplanet.com
Thank you
Hi,
I’ve upgraded to v6 from v4 and I want to use the Full Post Featured on the homepage. However, the title is centered vertically: http://sagablott.staging.wpengine.com
I would want to have it aligned at the bottom like the demo.
Cheers
Hello,
thank you for your product (this is my first post) – I’m setting up Newspaper theme.
I’d like to know how to control bottom section on Homepage in demo content (please see http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2mh63nl&s=9#.VmMpkeMrIk8) -section “with latest posts and sidebar with widgets “Newspaper Default”. This appears to contain all posts, but there is no shortcode for this in “News” Page. Where can I remove it? Is it possible to move this section up?
To add to my earlier message. The name of the demo file graphic is banner.jpg. It is in the Media tab area of my WordPress installation. Since I can’t invoke the row settings page to change this file with one I want, I tried to alter the banner.jpg image file path in the media area by renaming an image I choose and putting it in the correct path renaming my file “banner.jpg”. But the theme won’t let me make these changes.
Catalin:
I tried this approach as you suggested: http://screencast.com/t/6B0xoqi6. However, I am not presented with a row settings panel on the right hand side of the Home page as is displayed in your example. Thus, I cannot change the image. Is there something I should do to invoke the row settings display as presented in your example? I can’t see it if it’s there.
To be clear, what I am trying to replace is the default demo image on the landing page (home page) for the Travel Demo. The default image is dark featuring two rows of cars between buildings on a semi-dark street. THAT is the image I am trying to replace. But I just can’t find out “where it lives”.
Many thanks, tom
i used same font icon in demo verision theme
please see demo on internet exprlore 9

Hi,
Yes, the difference between 6.6 and 6.6.1 is just Social Counter plugin.
For future you can always check the update_log file to see what files were modified.
Regarding the speed, this was not affected by the Social Counter plugin and we will try to improve it for post pages. If you test the homepage you’ll see that it still at 89 – https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdemo.tagdiv.com%2Fnewspaper&tab=desktop
Thanks!
Thanks I updated my theme and the first issue went away. There is still an issue with my sitenavigationElement and your demo has the same issue. Yes, you have all the green lights but when you open the drop down window the navigation links are not correct. At least that is what I saw. I had the same issue but I was able to somewhat fix it. When you run the demo through google structured tool the only real navigation element that pops up is the home page, just like in mine. The rest of the elements are articles.
I’ve managed to fix my theme so that the articles are not read by google as navigation links. However, I cannot get the actual navigation links to show up as navigation links correctly. I was able to manually input the itemprop=”name” content=title and itemprop=”url” into the correct area but the HTML it doesn’t work correctly. I’ve gotten to the point where I was able to have it show in google structured tool as siteNavElement but the “title” was read as a url.
When I compared the nav items to the logo url (the one url that is being classified correctly as a SiteNaviationElement) I concluded that there might be something more going on here.
This is the default code for my nav links:
<li class=”menu-item menu-item-type-post_type menu-item-object-page td-menu-item td-normal-menu menu-item-1381″>Example
I believe the issue is w/the ‘title’ and ‘href’ being within the same <>. I’ve spent hours and hours trying out different combinations of places where to put the ‘itemprop’ items but it has not worked. Can you please tell me how I can either seperate the ‘title’ and the href or how I can get it to work correctly?
Also, what file should I be working on when I make the changes? The file I was working made the code appear publicly lol.
Hi
It seems like that…
I just updated only the plugin folder social counter via ftp
…rather it does not seem there are still improvements to counter facebook worsening dramatically PageSpeed from 90 to 74
Any news on this?
Thanks
and, oh my gosh … it’s still there!
I guess the file names “update_log.txt” and “changed_files_6.5_6.6.1.html” are not specific enough?

[ Version 6.6.1 ]
– new social counter version. Facebook requiers now an API key, read more here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial/
[ Version 6.6 ]
– new: Custom code panel. We realized that all the custom css, html and javascript should be in one panel. We also added a custom HTML code section. All the input areas from this panel have autocomplete (ctrl+space) and error checking.
– new: whatsapp share for article on mobile devices
– new: added http channel test status in the system status panel. You can now check if the theme is able to get the tweet count, like count etc from your host.
– new: filter posts by ID in blocks. You can add/exclude specific posts on all the blocks now.
– new: the theme now has it’s own logging system. We can now debug hosting issues easier.
– new: a new self diagnosting and self configurating module that allows our theme to pull data from other sites more reliably.
– fix: smart list 7 and 8 – sometimes the content was doubled
– fix: g+ new icon
– improvement: video playlist is now more reliable and all the code is loaded only when needed via autoload. The youtube videos information is now collected using just one API call instead of multiple API calls for each videos.
– improvement: speedbooster 4.2 now supports woocommerce better and moves the style.css to the bottom
– improvement: the theme panel works better now when adblock is used
– improvement: all the ajax functionality of the theme is now loaded only when needed
– improvement: better security checks on all the ajax requests
– improvement: html is allowed now in the copyright section of the footer
– improvement: social counter button is clickable on the entire area
– improvement: almost all the javascript code now passes jshint. We still have about 15-20% of the code to refactor to the new standards but with time we will get there.
– improvement: the theme’s data source class can now be overwritten from the child theme
– improvement: all the widgets from the theme are now optimized to work better. The widget_builder class is now deprecated and all the functionality was moved to td_block_widget
– improvement: the video playlist now downloads the videos metadata on render, not on save post. This allows us to use the playlist on the on click demos.
– improvement: the following modules of the theme are loaded on demand now: td_log, td_remote_http, td_remote_video, td_data_source, td_video_support, td_more_article_box, td_page_views, td_review, td_ajax. This means that the theme loads them only when needed. We mesured a 10% faster load time after this tweak.
– fix: theme animations where incompatible with some plugins and the visual composer gallery. The animations still worked but all of them looked a bit strange.
– fix: bug with the demo loader – the dinamic css for a specific demo was still loaded even after the demo was uninstall
– fix: header style 8 top submenu z-index fix
– fix: image aligment issue when using custom article paddings
– fix: the documentation url for demos was wrong in wp-admin
– fix: we updated the ads links to point to the right documentation
– fix: Social counter now shows the followers instead of +1 on google plus. Please update your social counter to see the improvement.
– fix: styling issues with the latest version of BuddyPress
– fix: on rare ocassions with some plugins the theme was emitting warnings in the server logs like: “Catchable fatal error: Object of class stdClass could not be converted to string”
– fix: error that was showing up in logs when the theme panel was saved

Hello,
There are blocks without featured images already implemented in the theme. These are block 9 and 10.
http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-9/ and http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-10/
You can alternatively use any other block you want just to hide all the featured images of that particular block. It is not possible to hide only certain images, but all images you can hide using this css for example on a block 4:
http://screencast.com/t/UWducKxoHBCe
.td_block_4 .td-module-thumb .entry-thumb{
display:none;
}
.td_block_4 .td_module_2 .td-module-thumb{
height:0px!important
}
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
