This may take some time because we have a long implementation list and we take them one by one. However we don’t plan to implement any membership feature for the moment. The theme wasn’t intended to import different menu style from other theme and I can’t say how this will affect it’s functionality. Most likely will be required some customizations and many tests to make sure that the new menu will work fine.

Go to Theme Panel – Categories – per Category Settings – there’s a list of your own categories

There are a number of flexible settings for each separate category here

With regard at the response time: we always try to answer at all topics within 24 hours, however this is not valid for weekends. We din’t work on weekend so there is a delay with the response time.

Also, teamfi, perhaps you could consider manually creating a separate page for the parent category? That would give you lots of flexibility for organizing and displaying the sub-categories. Might work well if you don’t have too many parent categories to worry about.

At the moment this is the best way to load a different ad as the theme does not have an option built in. We consider extending theme’s flexibility in the future and it’s possible to add such a feature bu I can’t promise anything yet as we have a long implementation list and we have to take them one by one.

We didn’t tested the AMP plugin with the theme yest and i can’t say that it will work 100$ with the theme. However from our users reports seems that the plugin works fine with the theme. We plan to extend theme’s flexibility and maybe in the feature we will have a closer look to a possible implementation of AMP. However I can’t promise anything in this regard as we have a long list a feature requests and we have take them one by one.

Thank you Chris. I did use a plug that added the first found image as the featured image and it also allowed adding one or more images and then rotating those through posts that didn’t already have a featured image. Very flexible and 1000 times better than manually handling thousands of posts. Quick Featured Images is the one I used – and I got the Pro version.

We also must pick carefully what features will be implemented as the user always must get what is best from us.

Meanwhile you can use the indicated code in functions.php file. The code should work fine even if you’re using a plugin to add the new widget.

The theme code it’s written in a very clean way so it can be easily adapted at any situation or customizations. However a feature like flexible width for pages it’s a very difficult task to achieved due to theme’s complexity. Our theme have many block and modules which all are built at fixed sizes. To achieve a flexible width which can be changed dynamically, the entire grid must be rewritten. The and result will be technicality a new theme and this cannot be done so easy.
To allow more post types in related articles box you can include them into an array then loop trough that array to check if the post type it’s allowed or not to appear in more articles box.
Note that this is a complex task which involve many customizations and also good coding skills. If you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you.

I think its an ideal layout for someone just starting out their website and doesn’t have a lot of content to showcase. It would indeed be much appreciated if you could include it in a future update as it provides more flexibility in presenting the content.

Thanks Catalin, for your assistance. I think thats serves the purpose for time being. But I would love the flexibility in using that module inside a page using visual composer. That way I could have more than one of those modules assigned for different category listing in same page. Also it could let me place ads in between these modules or articles.

I’m using W3TC and Cloudflare with Flexible SSL enabled. I’ve disabled minification on Cloudflare and am using W3TC to reduce the number of requests. I do basic minification of CSS and html, but not JS since minifying JS breaks images on my front page. I also combine all CSS into a single file and JS into a single file to reduce the number of requests to my server, which also has the benefit of removing query strings so I can be sure all my CSS, JS, and HTML is being cached correctly by any caching proxies between me and my readers. Minifying html also improves pagespeed slightly since Cloudflare doesn’t cache or optimize HTML.

This also has the added benefit of not having to do a manual process every time I update my Newspaper theme.

Obviously, I’ve also disabled Cloudflare in the W3TC plugin so it doesn’t know I’m using Cloudflare. This means if I do feel the need to clear my Cloudflare cache for some reason, I have to do it manually from the Cloudflare website.
