Hello pciza,
Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme, remove all of the untested plugins if you are using something like this, clear all the caches and check the results. If the problem is still there, you should make a new install to another sub-domain for testing via FTP way and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
ok thanks, I installed multi-purpose. WP widgets like Tags cloud are not available ?
And after installing multi-purpose, I noticed that a few images were added to my medias library that can’t be deleted ? I delete them from dashboard, they come back, I tried through ftp same, is there a way to delete them ?
Thanks
Hello, I installed WordPress 4.9.4 through FTP. I installed the 8.7.1 newspaper topic (FTP) and enabled the TagDiv plugins Social Counter, Newsletter, Composer and AMP. The error continues to occur.
Just disable the tagDiv Composer plugin so that the error no longer happens.
I’m using PHP version 7.1.
The articles are saved in the server database, they will not be removed when the theme is updated/reinstalled/switched/deleted.
So reinstall the theme, do not make any code modifications to the theme files. There should not be any problem. Check the guide and install by FTP if possible.
Hi,
The theme will try to update the plugin automatically, but seems sometimes it fails. Try to use FTP to install the composer. Remove the previous plugin folder from the uploads folder (if present) and paste the new one from the latest theme package (unzip it first). A guide for manually installing a plugin here
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/step-by-step-guide-to-install-a-wordpress-plugin-for-beginners/
All the plugins are provided in the plugins folder located in the theme package

Thanks
Hello Sasinipa,
First of all, please make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way and if we do not suggest installing it. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, please remove all of these because might occurs a lot of interferences in the theme between untested plugins and main theme, purge all CDN files if you are using the CDN system, clear all the caches and check the results. Please notice that if our theme has been right installed you should not have any kind of issues, sorry! until now, we do not have any bad records in this case, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!

Hello mark will,
Unfortunately, your footer section seems to be broken, sorry! I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using an old version of the theme with the latest version of WordPress and that’s why this problem might occur. -> https://www.screencast.com/t/YGycNuWZ7B Make a full backup to your database and make a new fresh install from scratch via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. Clear all the caches and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
Hello dralim,
Unfortunately, your website URL does not work and also, I cannot check your Facebook sharing buttons, sorry! Try to make a full backup to your database, clear all the caches and make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way with the latest version of the theme.
Thanks for the message!
I have identified the problem as being either the td-composer folder, or something in that folder.. why is this happening? clean install, no other plug ins. literally have done nothing with my site other than set up cpanel and wordpress and then ftp the theme since installing didnt work
I uploaded via ftp. getting strange symbols when i try to activate
@bogdan, thanks for the reply. I already mentioned that I removed the old tagdiv composer, uninstalled the theme > deleted the old theme folder > uploaded the new theme file [downloaded from envato] using FTP > installed the tagdiv manually and I still face the same issue.
I couldn’t see any of the posts and it only loads the title. The homepage generated using tagdiv is also blank. All I can see is category pages, archives, etc. but once I go to any post, it shows as blank.
Hi! Thank you for your reply.
I have checked, and my home url and site url are both https. I have also tried disabling all plugins, cleared all caching, deleting the existing theme and reinstalling it via the ftp method. I have then tried reinstalling the td-composer plugin. And the results are the same as before.
I’m now convinced that the problem lies with the buggy td-composer update, as many others have reported similar issues. Can we expect the issues to fixed anytime soon?
We have tested the latest theme version with PHP 7.2 and there were no such issues present. If you could provide access to a testing website where you have identified the PHP version to cause issues, we will take a look. Provide admin login and FTP access.
We are doing the best we can to identify any potential issues, and fix them as fast as possible.
I disabled the theme by logging in using ftp and changed the theme name and it converted to the standard theme. Then disabled all plugins. Then I downloaded the theme and uploaded it via ftp instead of updating through WordPress then changed the theme back to the Newspaper theme then enabled the plugins and now works just fine.

Hello,
It is always recommended to make a full back-up before updating themes or plugins or eve wordpress. Please restore a previous back-up if you did. If not, then there is a good change the content is lost. An update ca sometimes go wrong. That is why we always recommend FTP. It is the safest method of updating your site.
Thank you!
Hi,
There should not be any errors, please try again and reinstall the theme (by FTP is recommended) delete old theme and paste new one
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Make backups to be safe before updating the theme.
Update all theme plugins, the composer and multi-purpose plugins are now version 2.0. Deactivate all other plugins and child theme if used. Clear all caching installed and CDN files if used. Check if there still are errors, let us know the results after trying this.
Hi Catalin
I tried to make a fresh FTP install but the isue is still there.
I just emailed the log-in details to inspect the site.
Thanks
Hello,
I have te4sted on my site and the Smart list images seem to work as expected on AMP version, without any problem regarding on crop images, sorry! Also, I see on your website that your images are cropped incorrectly as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/cwhsl59P4oyf It seems to be some custom code injected on your site which caused this error, sorry! Please try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way, remove all of the untested plugins if you are using something like this, clear all the caches, purge all CDN files and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
@Rodolfo Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information so we can take a look at this issue. Also provide FTP access. We will make more investigations. Make a full backup before.
Also include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
Hi,
@kulecanbazi The head tags are located as mentioned above, in the header.php file (this file in is the main theme folder)
Insert the code before the closing head tag. Use either the default theme editor in WordPress, or FTP to edit the header file

Hello Azizm59,
Ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, clear all the caches and check the results. All the menus can be created from WordPress, Menus section from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/rHy1J7RDeIvc Also, make sure that your system status parameters are increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/, remove all of the untested plugins, purge CDN files and check the results. You can provide some useful screenshots with the problem if this will persists to be there.
Thanks for your understanding!
I got a 500 error when I first tried. Upgraded memory from 40 to 64mb in wp.config that helped and I was also able to complete the upgrade to 8.7.
define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’64M’ );
With Server 500 errors it is also good to regenerate .htaccess file to make sure that is not causing an error. Do that by saving the permalinks again before you start the upgrade.
For the record I used CPanel upload and extract to do the upgrade. I used FTP and the Envato Market plugin previously but I think it was the memory config in my situation. 8.6 worked with 40mb and it looks like 8.7 needs 64Mb at least.
Not sure what is wrong. But after updating to 8.7 the Social Counter update is no longer working. I uploaded the plugin via FTP just like I always do for any theme update.
Its just showing the text/code for it.
I deactivated it and reactivated it and it didn’t make any difference.
The website is http://thesinbin.net
I put my site in a staging area before doing the update because of all the errors people were having. I updated via ftp and updated all of the plugins with the new update. I am only using TD composer, not the Wp Bakery builder. My front page and menu is not workable – see screenshot.
What are people doing to get their sites working again? What plugins have people figured out is causing a conflict.
Thanks in advance
