Hi,
Please do a test using only the theme and theme plugins, and in case the problem arises, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide us with the wp-admin, cPanel, or FTP. Include the link to this topic in the email. We’ll check it as soon as possible.
Thank you!
Hi,
Did you run a test on a new page to see if the problem persists? If it does, please run another test by removing the Cloud header and footer, or by setting a different one just for testing, and then try again with a new page.
If the problem is still persisting and you agree, we can also take a look at it. For this, you will need to create a backup of the website and contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com, providing temporary wp-admin access and cPanel or FTP access. Also, please include a link to this topic in the email.
Thank you!

All the widgets blocks on the site are locked – a small padlock icon appears next to them in the list view
The contents of the blocks can be unlocked, but not the blocks themselves
I have tried various things, including:
switching back to classic widgets
deactivating all plug-ins/all plug-ins except the tag div ones that control the theme, both by deactivating via the theme and by disabling them via SFTP
switching the site to a standard WordPress site temporarily (Twenty Twenty one)
switching from a child theme to the main Newspaper theme
pausing Cloudflare
updated to WordPress 6.9
checking permissions
None of these had any effect
The widget screen also takes a very long time to open – which is why I want to delete most of them … but cannot.
Hi Calin,
Copying my email reply here:
Are you going to install the WP staging plugin inside my website and create the staging in my site itself?
Not sure if this is ok because I prefer not to have additional files inserted into my site itself.
How about I send over UpdraftPlus backup files and you can test from your end?
Thank you.
Hi Maddest and daveslc,
The provided solution should normally resolve the search issue when using the Newspaper theme version 12.7.3 with WordPress 6.9.
If you are using a different version, we recommend creating a full backup and updating the theme. There may also be other factors involved, such as a plugin conflict, or the issue you are experiencing may differ from the one reported by other users.
In this case, please create a backup and contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com, providing wp-admin and FTP or cPanel access. Our team will investigate the issue as soon as possible.
Thank you!
Hi,
So when you access the pages panel in wordpress there is a critical error. What if you deactivate more plugins? Leave just theme plugins active and check again. Maybe it’s a problem that happens due to insufficient wp memory, and by deactivating plugins there is more free memory. If you check in the theme system status panel is the wp memory set to at least 256M? -> https://prnt.sc/2Bo3sC0eIzdk Actually even if it is, I suggest setting it to 512M, it can be done in the wp-config file -> https://prnt.sc/bNokB9oAbAVW
If that doesn’t work, we could take a look as well, maybe we can figure out the cause. In this case you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website, admin login (user and pass) and also access to cPanel or FTP.
Thanks.
Hi,
This notice was added in PHP v8 due to some changes in how PHP works.
If you’d like, we can help. Please create a full backup and contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com
Provide a temporary WP-admin account, as well as FTP/cPanel access, and include details about the issue. We’ll check it as soon as possible.

Hi,
Checking the error log provided, it seems the situation is caused by the option for amp from the tagDiv Mobile theme plugin (I believe it is related to the slg selected for amp). What I recommend is to use FTP or cPanel and remove the td Mobile theme plugin. After that, the website should be back.
Thank you!
Hi SBC,
We’ll need some more details related to the installation process you made.
Make sure that you used our guide for this:
How to Install Newspaper via WordPress
OR
How to Install Newspaper via FTP
After that, you need to make sure that the theme is activated: How to Activate the Theme
Then you can install the pre-built website you want to use for your website: Installing Pre-built Websites
Thank you!
Hi,
In situations like this, you need an FTP or cPanel acess, set the debug to true to see exactly what is causing the problem. After that, if it is a plugin like tagDiv Composer, rename the plugin (this can be done using FTP or cPanel, renaming the plugin will disable it from the site).
How to Fix the Critical Error in WordPress (Step by Step)
Thank you!
Since it seems the problem come from WordPress 6.9, I downloaded WordPress 6.8 https://fr.wordpress.org/download/releases/ and copy paste the files except WP Content on my FTP
Hi,
Please use an FTP or file manager and delete the tagDiv Composer plugin. After that, try to reinstall the tagDiv Composer from Newspaper > Plugins. This should resolve the problem.
Thank you!
Our website was down, several times last week, and yesterday as well. The only way to get the website back online was to rename the theme folder via ftp to -Newspaper, instead of Nespaper, after which the website became available, after which of course it was necessary to rename the theme folder back to Newspaper and than everything seems to be ok. Everything is up to date.
Can someone please take a look at this. I have already sent the login details to your support email, I can send them again if needed.
The website is https://www.zagrebancija.com/
Did you, via FTP; after disabling caching plugin;
a) delete old theme
b) upload new, uncompressed theme folder, not the ‘all files’ folder
c) delete td-composer plugin
d) upload new td-composer plugin
e) login
f) re-enable td-composer plugin
??
This works for me on every site, running PHP 8.3x.
Hi,
What I can suggest is first to make a full backup for your website and database and after that to update the theme (also, you can try first on staging or sub-domain).
The theme should be updated via FTP, by replacing the old theme with the new one (replace not overwrite), in case that there are custom changes in the theme files, those will be lost. Also, the child theme should be disabled and the main theme should be used. The child theme should be replaced with the version found in the last package from the ThemeForest and the code form it should be updated to the new files structure.
After the theme is installed, please install the theme plugins: tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Standard Pack and the rest of the theme plugins that you had before the theme update (social counter, newsletter).
I hope this will help you!

Hello,
I’ve created a custom discount shortcode for my WordPress website to display the product discount percentage (for example, “50% OFF”).
The shortcode works correctly on the desktop template, but it’s not showing on the mobile template.
I’ve shared my website URL, temporary admin login, and FTP details with your developer account (contact@tagdiv.com) for review.
I also included the product page link, the code snippet, and a detailed explanation in the email for reference.
Please help me make this shortcode fully functional on the Product Page for both desktop and mobile versions.
I have always found using manual update via FTP works best – I am literally doing this right now 🙂
Hello, I am creating a mega menu through a page and inserting it through the ID in the menu.
On my menu page, I have the item “List Menu” and the menu displays correctly.
However, when the menu is rendered on the home page, this submenu is not visible.
The menu page also does not render on mobile devices, i don’t hide it
Themeforest sent out a notice this morning that update is available to download.
Best way to update, is decompress files on local drive; then login via FTP to site, remove old theme, upload new version; remove old plugin for td-composer; upload new version.
Log into panel, activate composer plugin. Check menus and footer.
Always make backup of site prior to update!
I had almost the identical issues with you the other day as well.
It as suggested I fresh install them (and plugins) via ftp. That solved most of my problems. I also couldn’t update theme normal way.
i update via ftp, deleting old theme and applicable plugin folders, the uploading new versions from themeforest download and decompressed, then login, and reactivate plugins
