Hello Fernando_esp,
The new version of Newsmag is 2.3. Here you can see the full list of improvements: http://tagdiv.com/newsmag-2-3-update/ .
First of all, please backup the whole current theme installation as well as the database and wp install: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
After this, you can use the ftp method from themeâs update guide to upload themeâs files and remove the previous theme files before uploading the most recent ones then test this again and let us know how it goes. You can find a video tutorial on how to do this in themeâs update guide here: http://screencast.com/t/jNFnYQ0ONo â https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/
Hope this helps!
Thank you for your message!
Hello Paulks ,
Get off the new version of the theme and replaces the Newmag folder on the FTP have this new one. Nothing more than that.
Make a backup just in case.
Best regards
It is fixed. I just uninstalled the theme and reinstalled it. It was a corrupted upgrade via ftp. So it works now for this issue.
Please contact your hosting provider and check for restrictions on your upload folder. If everything is ok, then please try to do a fresh install of your theme via FTP: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ maybe files got corrupted when installing. From time to time every piece of software can get installed incorrectly.
Thank you!
Hi,
Sorry for the late reply! We do not work on weekends!
Please make sure that you have the theme installed right, I have tested this using the latest theme version but could not recreate this error so I suspect this issue is specific to your site’s configuration.
Please sure you have installed the theme right and use the ftp method from theme’s update guide to upload theme’s files and remove the previous theme files before uploading the most recent ones then test this again and let us know how it goes. You can find a video tutorial on how to do this in theme’s update guide here: http://screencast.com/t/jNFnYQ0ONo – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/
Let us know how it goes and if you still experience this issue afterwards please address us via email at contact@tagdiv.com including a link to this conversation and also give us wp and ftp access so we can have a closer look at this and we will get back with a more accurate answer on this as soon as possible.
Thanks!

Hello,
Please make sure you update the plugins as well. Disable your plugins and delete the files either from wp or by FTP access. Then install the plugin versions that come with the theme from here: http://screencast.com/t/WNNYfHh6
If all else fails, please try to do a fresh install of your theme via ftp: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ (do a back-up beforehand)
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Since the last update I’ve been getting this error on top of the page on the front end:
Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, class ‘td_config’ not found in C:\wamp\www\mysite\wp-includes\plugin.php on line 503
I’ve reinstalled the theme via the FTP method (or just copy and pasting since this is a local installation), no change. Disabling all the plugins has no effect, switching to the default WP theme, however, makes it go away.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Bogdan,
2 emails sent with login info and FTP access. Thanks!

I updated using FTP. “patch_6.5_6.6” I’ve added the file and overwrite it. Is this not enough?

Please try to reinstall your theme via FTP. It is always the best way to do it. Please folow this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

Hello Friend.
I tried to do what the SpeedBooster and I can not find it, always gives me an error page, please, could be kind enough to help me with that ?. I attach the files mentioned in the tutorial, or could give access to ftp if required. I’m a little desperate, as I discussed web users going a little slow and not to do. Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Normally the message should not appear with the visual composer version that comes with the theme. Maybe you had the full license of V.C. prior to this version?. Please deactivate and delete the plugin and try to access your files via ftp and remove any files created by visual composer. Then reinstall it from the theme panel.
Let us know how it goes!
Thank you!
Hello,
Please send an email to the address suggested above and provide login information and ftp access. Also include a link to this topic so we know who you are and what the problem is.
Thank you!
contact@tagdiv.com
there send them link to this forum topic and give access to website and ftp.
Hm… do you or did you use any cache plugin?
There are times when even after deactivating and deleting cache plugin, it leaves the cache folder somwhere with some sort of advanced configuration. You can usually find this files in ‘wp content’ folder.
For example I use wp rocket for caching. When I do migrations from local instalation to hosting or viceversa the wp rocket files are always there and need to be deleted completly.
Maybe this is the case with you too. Maybe there is somewhere cached version of your website being served instead of fresh ones.
Use FTP or file manager to browse trough your website files and check are there some files from caching plugin. If there are, delete them.

Solution no.2
Send email to tagdiv guys with ftp access, admin access, and let them see what is going on.
PS. Check your .htaccess , copy it somewhere, and then delete anything in it but leave this:
# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /test/
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /test/index.php [L]
</IfModule>
# END WordPress
That is there by default, but before you do anything disable all plugins but visual composer.

Best first steps:
Change your theme being used to default WP theme (eg twenty-fifteen)
a) remove/delete all themes except for the 3 default themes with WordPress
b) remove/delete all plugins you’re not using (e.g., old ones from old themes, anything new you’ve installed recently not included with the theme)
c) change *all* your passwords for WordPress, and your hosting account ASAP.
d) reinstall ALL your plugins (delete old ones entirely, replace with new ones via FTP), and download new copy of the theme from ThemeForest — delete old Newsmag folder, upload NEW copy — don’t over-write ANY old folders during this process
dd) install full clean copy of WordPress — do this by FTP; delete the wp-includes and wp-admin folders, upoload new ones from fresh download of WP from WordPress.org; over write the files in root (be sure to backup your wp-config.php and .htaccess files)
ddd) double check your htaccess file for any weirdness such as redirects to other websites
e) rescan your site with SECURI scanner.
If your content has been infected at the post level, you may need to manually edit each post to remove “injected” content.
Once your site is “fixed” — consider reading up on numerous security posts online to do stuff like
a) delete admin account as super user
b) install tools like “limit login attempts”
c) consider disabling comments and pingbacks entirely unless you have need for them; consider using plugin like Disqus instead
d) read up on any plugin on wordpress.org before install; don’t install oddball plugins “free on the web someplace”
e) make regular backups of theme settings, wp settings export, php dbase clone and save, etc., full ftp download of all assets to local drive
Hopefully that all may give you some guidance and perhaps starting point on some things you can do yourself before finding somebody to hire.
hello all.. please help me to resolve my website issue.. i can not access my website after doing the update via ftp as instructed in the tutorial videos.
i think there should be some more tutorials about upgrading the theme. such as creating the FAQ section of troubles that always come up when upgrading the theme.
Thank you
my website url is pusatjualanonline.com
i have also emailed to contact@tagdiv.com
include my ftp details and wp admin
Thanks again.
All good here – combination of reinstall of theme via FTP and addressing issue with child theme has resolved.
Hello,
Please make sure you update the theme properly. The FTP method is always the best one. You can follow this guide:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Please also disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear your cache and purge CDN if you use it.
If the problem is still there afterwards, please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your wp-admin credentials and FTP access so we can take a look and see where the error comes from.
Also include a link to this topic.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please remove all versions of your visual composer plugin and it’s files (FTP may be the best choice) And install the plugin from here: http://screencast.com/t/bQeVrE5Brnm
Other versions of visual composer do not work with our theme as the bundled version is adjusted to our theme’s code.
Let us know if the problem is still there afterwards.
Thank you!
