The problem with the theme appears bigger – I can’t change anything in the header. For instance, I don’t want a sticky menu but it stays sticky (on the desktop version). The mobile version is OK. The mobile version shows the changes unlike the desktop version of my website. I deleted the browsing data, tried other browsers so it is not the browser. It is even worse – I tried to see if the option for the opacity of the background image works, applied the change, it worked but now I can’t undo it. I remove the opacity in the settings but this change still appears on my website.

yes, I read through the WP codex Child themes section (https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/) and it seems still the old way: I could potentially copy the header.php file from the parent theme (let’s say in our case: Newspaper) and could modify header.php.
My question is: After the change from Newspaper v9.7.2. to v9.7.3 that doesn’t seem to work anymore, at least not without removing the first few code lines from header.php where tdc_header is called.
It seems that everything after that code in header.php is ignored? Is that correct?
If so, how would I make a child theme’s header.php work in Newspaper? Eliminating the call for tdc_header doesn’t do it because, as you said, all the functionality had been moved to the tagdiv composer plugin.
In v9.7.2 it was not a problem to make changes to header.php — in v9.7.3 it seems difficult — any pointer how to make a child theme’s header.php or footer.php work?

Hi,
If you want to remove the ads from a certain post you can us a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library and do not set any ads in that template, after that set the template on the post you do not want to have ads.
The ads on pages can be set using tagDiv Composer and set ad box where you want to have ads ( but in this can you need to check the ads from header and footer ).

Mobile logo will not display. Logo is placed under Theme panel >> Header >> Logo for mobile (Logo mobile and Retina logo mobile). Cache is cleared on mobile. What’s wrong here?

1. In order to lower the height of the Smart Snap Header you need to use a custom css or you can use the header manager and build the header how you want.
2. I’ve checked the page menu and this is working normally -> https://www.screencast.com/t/GMvZ576y6D
Please make sure that the tagDiv Composer https://tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-page-builder-basics/ is activate and you do not have a plugin conflict with untested plugins, please deactivate all non theme, also if you are using child theme, clear all cache and try again.

I’ve purchased yesterday theia post slider, the famous plug in for post pagination in viral websites.
My issue is when I activate the inline ad or bottom it doesn’t seem to work (no it’s not disabled on desktop nor is the code faulty) however the header and article top ads are shown

Hi tagdiv community…
I will have to take some deep breaths as I am getting seriously annoyed with the issues I am repeatedly having with the cloud templates feature in particular with header layover features.
I have been using a cloud header layover template on my page > https://www.inspireorb.com/the-light-lounge/
But today all that was in place has now completely disappeared and has reverted to an appearance I don’t even recognise. I have even tried to go back to an earlier edit under revision but nothing changes. Even though it says 64 revisions in the edit section of the template, but nothing changes.
All edits and the header customisation that have been made have simply vanished.
Any ideas what could be causing this or have you tagdiv, provided something that is loaded with bugs, basically a dog with fleas!!??
The issues are not new with the cloud template section, it has always since I have been using it been buggy.
Some answers to these on going issues would be appreciated as this is simply not acceptable and I am on the verge of ditching tagdiv and moving to another theme given the continued issues I keep having.

On mobile version, the sticky header remains the one from the demo (craft).
Keeping AMP and the header I desgiend with the cloud template, it’s impossible to change the sticky header.
Only if I go back to the regular template header I can change but all my parameters are then gone.

Thanks, Calin, for clarifying — in my case my work-around is to add the script and link-tags into Newspaper’s theme panel section for Google Analytics / script code. I am happy that also link tags work in that section and aren’t filtered out.
Suggestion: May be that section title should be not specific to Google Analytics?: may be something like “Script, meta, link etc tags for the head section”? And for the footer area, of course.
Not that I have need right now for changing more in the header php file… but would there be a way to do so in the future? How does Envato’s requirement go along with WP child theme concept?

issue: my child HEADER.php seems not to be loaded
I am using newspaper v 9.7.3 and the child theme. I copied the theme’s HEADER.php to the child theme folder.
Then I added some stuff in the <head> section, just scripts and links.
In the previous version all worked, but since the update from 9.7.2. to 9.7.3 my child HEADER.php seems not to be loaded.
My script and links do not appear when the page is rendered.
Maybe because of the first few lines in that header file?:
php code in the first few lines:
do_action(‘tdc_header’)
if (has_action (‘tdc_header’)){return}
If I delete that code … my modified header file is apparently loaded … but the page is not rendered correctly any more (e.g. the logo is missing). So, I am stuck here.
What does that php code do? First registering an action and then returning if it is registered? Maybe something to look into?
HAS ANYBODY used the child theme with a modified header.php file.

That will not work anymore. When the composer is active the theme will use a different header, this one – http://prntscr.com/o3ekyo this file can’t be modified in a child theme.
If you want to load a script in the header, you could use the analytics section

Code entered in the theme panel will be saved in the database, so it is safe to add it there.

You could give this code a try, with header style 11 instead – http://prntscr.com/o3ebz7 However this may cause problems in category pages and post pages, by overlapping the breadcrumbs for example. You could use it only in pages, or in the homepage

I’m trying to make an overlay header, but everytime my content gets pushed underneath each element contained within my header. I’ve tried to import ‘Header Template 32’ in my page with the header manager, I’ve also tried to set the original ‘Header Template 32’ for all website in the newspaper theme panel but everytime it doesn’t work. Is someone able to help me?
