Several questions regards to theme and WPML - topic

Dear,

I would like to receive your feedback regards to the following questions,

1. Newspaper theme
(1) Latest Articles(header in homepage)
I would like to know where I can change the header for this.
It is just below “Must Watch” section. I could not find where I can change.
Please advise me. Thank you.

(3) Previous/Next Article
Is it possible to set this within sub-categories only?
Please share the guideline how to do it. I am new to this.

2. WPML
(1) Previous/Next Article, Comment and so on.
I realize English is default for the theme.
However, is it possible to set the words by language? I would like to know
if I can set Korean words in Korean page, remain same for English page.
(2) The style of language selector.
I would like to ask you how to set the language bar with same size.
I like setting with same style as http://www.ccroo.net for language selector.

Can you please show me how to add the background image to the header of my website. I went to the header background setting but only see the solid color selection and nowhere to be found to upload image.

Newspaper theme and Advanced Advertising System PRO - topic

Hi.

We use Advanced Advertising System PRO to rotate clients banner ads. After Newspaper theme installation I’m not able to set all banner spots. We use shortcodes like [aas_zone zone_id=”21262″] . Sidebar widget works perfect, because WordPress maintain it, not Newspaper theme. Newspaper’s Header Ad spot works with our shortcodes, except Default Header style 1, but we like it and would like to use default header style. Also I can’t implement shortcodes on frontpage between news blocks using Backend Editor. I tried HTML, Ad, text blocks etc.

Any ideas how to fix it? Please answer ASAP, we need to rotate client’s ads.

Hi everyone 🙂

After updating to a newwer version of WP and deleting and re intalling the Newspaper theme a lot of pages open empty (under the header). In the proces I wrecket my existing website and am back to square one. I would realy like to fix this problem. Hope you can help me out.

Hello,

Unfortunately the theme will not work with such hooks as it;s custom made and not using any framework. if you want to add conditions to the code in the header section to change them based on category you will need to alter the header files: https://www.screencast.com/t/fwWL5AwJTb8

Sticky Nav Bar Remains Sticky… - topic

Hi,

the navigation bar goes to the sticky version when the page scrolls however it won’t return to normal when you scroll back to the top – have to reload page to reset the navigation bar and see the header again.

If you want to set an image as header background it depends on the header style you are using, if you can provide a link to your website, I will try to help you in this matter.

Hi,

The easier way to do it would be to select header style 3 and enter this code in Theme panel->Custom css

.td-header-style-3 .td-header-menu-wrap {
background-color: black;
}

Hi,

You can try this code, it should cover most of the elements on your pages with the background you selected and you can add more if you want to, just enter it in Theme panel->Custom Css

Good Afternoon,

I would like to know how to add a background to the top of the website where the logo is located? I would imagine that this is considered the header. I see where it says I can change the header style, but I don’t see anywhere to upload a background for the header. Can someone please assist me?

I’m using Newspaper 7.6

I changed the Logo & Fav Icon information in the header section however, on mobile NEWSPAPER and the tag line is still showing. The change displays on my desktop site but not on mobile.

Hi,

Try to use theme’s adsense ad size settings and specify the sizes: https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-ads-adsense/
You can use the same adsense code for all theme’s spots and control it using settings.

i just added my google adsense code but it is not being responsive.
in sidebar it shows leaderboard size and on header as well.

do i have to generate different ad unit for each location? or can i use the same ad unit code for all position?

Hello, I have a problem with the theme on my site http://www.estadostop.com . When I see the site from my samsung galaxy s7, I see almost all the white screen and I have to do a lot of scroll to see the content, which also looks bad

CCurrently I use module 6, probe with other modules and other headers and also looks bad, also try uploading all files again.

I thought that if I activated the plugin tagDiv Mobile Theme, this would be solved, but I found another error, with the plugin activated the images are not seen.

In pc and also in other mobiles devices it looks good (except the mobile plugin that in all cases is seen without image), if I see my website from pc and I diminish the size of the browser, it also looks good, that only from my Galaxy s7 and some Motorola Moto x that looks bad on mobil.

Can somebody help me?

Hello ironsea,

I have checked your website on the mobile device and I notice that your header will not disappear from mobile. It is strange because the mobile version will hide it. Do you have added some code which forces this header to be in this section and for mobile devices? Try to revert the theme to the default state, disable all the untested plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. If the problem is still there, please try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP and check the results.

Just change the code from .td-header-style-11 to .td-header-style-1 it should look like this

}

Unfortunately updating from a very old version such as newspaper 4 will need some elements to be recreated. the sidebar implementation was changed, some elements from the old theme were removed, some elements were added and so on. You will have to re-create your pages in visual composer. The post templates, the header styles, the footer styles, they will all be different as they have been changed over the years. Sorry for the inconvenience but updating from such an old version will require a bit of extra work to do as it will not be a smooth update such as updating from version 6+ to 7+
