Hello,

You not need to add the favicon in the header.php. Both the theme and WordPress have a section to set the favicon without needing to make settings in the theme files.
You can to add the favicon, in Theme Panel -> Header -> Logo and Favicon => https://www.screencast.com/t/H4ucPC2wwz
Also, on the homepage there’s an option Customize icon => https://www.screencast.com/t/I2uVvP4b -> Site identity -> Site icon -> Change image -> publish => https://www.screencast.com/t/lY9WEOZEj also, here https://i.imgur.com/s3kT6q8.png
Also, you can check this article https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/appearance/favicon-in-search

Thank you!

Hello,

So you managed to resolve the issue with the translation; I’m glad.
Related to the block on the homepage, maybe the block has an offset so that it will skip a number of posts; please check and remove it if there is https://prnt.sc/ud17t8
For the category management can you please provide an example and a screenshot?

Thank you!

Note:
I think I’ve figure out how the templates translation works.
and error message disappeared from category pages.

Seems to be good for these 2 issues.

So I guess you can focus on the questions from my message:

“(…)

We’re using Flex Block 1 and Slide across several pages, including our homepage. However, even when we select “all categories,” no articles are displayed on these pages, despite having published some test articles.
Do you have any insight on why this might be happening?

What’s confusing is that on some other pages, the same setup works fine, which makes this inconsistency particularly frustrating.

Additionally, we have a question regarding category management: we’d like to display subcategories, but we want the last subcategory name to be shown instead of the top-level or alphabetically first category. How can we achieve this?

Thank you for your help!

Best regards,
A”

yes, my settings are as indicated. What is displaying is my old theme’s homepage, rather than the new theme.

Hello,

Thank you for your response. However, I’d like to clarify if ACF Pro is the only solution to create a gallery on the homepage where images display fully, without cropping.

If so, it’s honestly disappointing that such a basic feature requires an external paid plugin, especially for a functionality as essential as image display. I would expect full control over gallery images to be included in the theme itself.

Please confirm if there’s any other workaround within the TagDiv theme, or if ACF Pro is indeed the only option.

Thank you for your assistance.

From what I noticed, we can select languages for the homepage so we were able to translate it properly.

However, for articles template or even header, when clicking on edit, we cannot modify the language as this section doesn’t appear.

And this is only a focus on translation.

We still have this issue with categories and way to filter it… which means we have 4 issues to solve at the moment:

1. translation issues
2. an error message ONLY on top of category pages (categories are not translated)
3. an issue displaying articles from one category even by applying the correct filters
4. a question on how to display subcategories/sort by subcategories instead of primary category

Also, you mean that: Once I’ve duplicated all my templates, I can translate my articles “normally” like always with WPML? And so it works for all component like homepage, menu, category page etc.?

But how can you explain that by now there is this error message while we didn’t start translating anything? We simply set up WPML but didn’t start translations.

Hi,

Did you assign the page to the homepage here -> https://i.imgur.com/mx7Ldy4.png? What cache plugin do you use? Do you still have the tagdiv mobile theme plugin activated?

Thank you!

Hello everyone,

I’ve been trying to set up an image gallery on my homepage, but I’ve been struggling to get it to display correctly. I need the images to show fully without cropping, regardless of their orientation (both horizontal and vertical).

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

I used various blocks, but the images always get cropped.
I experimented with the slider block, but couldn’t prevent the images from being cut off.
I also attempted to embed shortcodes from external gallery plugins, but they don’t display as expected in TagDiv Composer.
Nothing has worked so far. Does anyone have a solution or workaround to create a gallery on the homepage where images display fully, without cropping? I’d really appreciate any help!

Thank you!

Hi, i’m still struggling with my issue but maybe i got some new things to work on…

at the moment i’ve created from the composer 2 MOBILE HOMEPAGES..

1. Mobile MT, which is the one i wanna use for real as mobile
2. Homepage Mobile – Magazine PRO … created just for tests

The thing i know for sure is that both are ignored, even if i select from my homepage topbar one of them… they just don’t work, browser are not loading them.

But the new thing i noticed is that if i go in Pages’s menu and edit the Mobile MT page, i see it points the link at “/mobile”

You can see here: https://ibb.co/ZKbstzR

so if with a mobile browser i go to:

https://www.mytechnology.eu/ mobile page will not load
https://www.mytechnology.eu/mobile mobile page will load perfectly

So where is the connection that i’m missing?

Hello everyone,

We’re encountering a second issue today, again related to categories, which seems to be causing significant trouble.

We’re using Flex Block 1 and Slide across several pages, including our homepage. However, even when we select “all categories,” no articles are displayed on these pages, despite having published some test articles.

Do you have any insight on why this might be happening?

Hello!

No. I mean the Cloud Templates. You can also import the template from the Cloud Library.
The theme panel Import/Export is taking only the theme panel settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
It doesn’t take the settings you made in the tagdiv Composer. You better use the Duplicator plugin to move the entire project.
The encoded code of your homepage when you edit it with Gutenberg contains the whole page with its settings. For example, if you assigned a global font or global color on an element in the page, you should have it also in the new website in the Website Manager section in the tagdiv Composer to be validated.

Thank you!

The date of the articles on the homepage is displayed in Chinese and cannot be changed. What’s going on?

And just so I’m clear. When you say homepage template, do you mean exporting using the theme panel? Or do you mean copying the shortcode from the WordPress page composer? I’m assuming the latter.

Just so I’m super clear. Can you explain what the Import/Export in theme panel is supposed to make a copy of related to the site? Does this information contain the layout? (the elements added, colors, fonts used etc)? If it does not, what is the best method to use if this is what I’m trying to do?

And the shortcode that each page produce and you see when viewing using the WordPress
page composer what does that contain? How are these two ways different?

Hello,
If you want to continue with the tagDiv Mobile theme plugin, then you can edit the homepage using the theme panel settings > mobile theme – https://i.imgur.com/485PT9t.png also using the mobile theme plugin you need to add content for your page in mobile editor, this editor is at the bottom of pages – https://i.imgur.com/dsnoZKP.png the mobile content should be created using only the mobile editor, no builders.
For pagination, can be change only in the theme files to display more pagination numbers, usually those are reveled one by one when those visible are selected. The problem wit the theme code edits is that those will be removed when the theme will be updated and those edits can not be saved in a child theme.
Thank you!

When I go to the homepage, there are 5 posts, and I want to insert in-feed ads except for one post (I am using ‘Flex Block 3’). How can I do it? Please let me know.

Hello!

Do you have the image in your new WordPress install? Try to place it again in the tagdiv Composer. Make sure you copy the page code and not the homepage template.

Thank you!

Hey, I can’t add any custom shortcode in the homepage. I’m able to do it in a post but not in the home page? is this expected behaviour?

Hi abirahemmed, normally a license key is for 1 website, please check the ThemeForest license specifications here – https://themeforest.net/licenses/standardhttps://themeforest.net/licenses/terms/regular -> https://prnt.sc/X0AldIM7e7ni and it can by used to activate a development copy.
Also, using a license from one theme to another theme (from Newspaper to Newsmag) is not the best idea, because you may encounter problems in the future.
Related to your question, the elements in the footer section can be changed using the settings in the theme panel > footer section – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-footer-templates-2/
The latest posts section on the homepage is part of the page template (Page builder + latest articles + pagination) and it can be adjusted using the settings at the bottom of the page (in backend) from tab Posts loop settings.
I hope this will help you!

Do you have enough resources allocated?
Do you limit the number of queries on home page, and sidebars, footers? Try to limit to no more than 3 modules on pages and 5 on homepage.
Did you disable image format/sizes not needed for your chosen modeules?
Limit number of elements in a mega-menu?

Try using GTMetrix.com to see what you can improve beyond server resources.

(I Don’t work here, just 5+ year tagdiv fanboy) 🙂
