Hi,

The file you need is the header.php located in the main theme folder
https://www.screencast.com/t/r0f2OvFfBFL
Copy it and replace the one in your theme install.

Thanks

I use UpdraftPlus plugin to backup my website. Using MAMP, I would like to install a local copy of my current website. I have downloaded and installed MAMP successfully on my MacBook Pro, how do I proceed to have an exact local copy of my current live site?

I have the latest version installed with PHP 7. These are just the errors and warnings shown by the PHP Compatibility Checker plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/php-compatibility-checker).

Hi,

Hi,

It seems the demo has not installed properly. It should look and have the same style as the demo. In this case the style and classes that are specific to the demo are not loaded. Please uninstall it and install it again
https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
Also check the theme system status and make modifications to the parameters mentioned in this guide, if necessary
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/

Hi,

That I understand. I did a few tests last night and I can´t get the demo-color etc. to get exported. I´m doing the following:

1. Installing the demo-theme that I want (this changes the theme colors etc.)
2. Navigating to the export theme settings page and cpying the export code.
3. Uninstalling the demo-theme. The site reverts back to the previous settings.
4. Navigating to the import theme settings page and pastes the settings I just copyed.

This should, if I understand correctly, teqnically at least change all the things in the theme panel (colors, translations, etc.) to the demo-theme-settings (that I exported). However, it doesn´t. Nothing happens to colours, translations etc. Everything stayes the same. As if the backup data (that I copyed) actually was taken from the old settings that rests behind the demo-layout, rather than from the actuall demo-layout.

Could this be the case or are my settings messed up somehow? Thanks

Hi
I purchased the theme today.
While uploading newspaper.zip in wordpress, I got the following error again and again.

Request Timeout
Server timeout waiting for the HTTP request from the client.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Please see to it and guide here.

Hi,

The export feature of the theme exports just the theme panel settings
https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
You can use it to save settings made in the theme panel area in a file, or import settings from other installs.

Thanks

The white arrows where they point i can’t find where to edit those settings and translate the text.
I also can’t find where to edit the youtube videos showing on the demo version installed.

Hi Cataline,
Thanks for the clarification. Things should be cleared now once I re-installed NewsPaper theme.

Cheers!

Hi,

Please download the latest version of the theme package and install the Social counter plugin from there. Just deactivate and remove the one you have at the moment, then install the new one. There was a issue with the previous version of this plugin, but it is now fixed. After installing it please clear your installed cache if you have one, and also the browser cache. Example for chrome
https://www.screencast.com/t/slRlDliJy
Or just use a different browser when you configure the social counter. Here is a configuration guide for the plugin – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
Please note that after successfully setting up the social counter, it may take a little time for the data to synchronize.

Thanks

Hi,

There is no drawback if you install a demo first and then take it from there. One of their purposes is to provide an easy start for a website. You could also customize the standard theme with Css and the theme panel options to make it look similar. The demo will import it’s own settings for the theme panel when you install it.
It all depends on how you want to proceed. You can create your unique page layout and style it like you want, or similar to a demo.

Thanks

Hi,

It should work properly once the valid Id is entered. Please provide more details about what exactly happens after you enter the Id and save, then update the page. Try clearing any caching installed after configuring the author box, maybe a a cache is preventing the author box from displaying.
Try uploading a screenshot like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/wTNAPaq5Ivqg

Hi,

The Envato policy allows using a theme only on one install. You can however use the theme on a sub-domain, if you plan on creating a testing site, but if we are talking about totally different sites with different content, then only one theme per install is legally allowed

Hi,

Please make sure you are entering the video id’s properly. They must be entered like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/Rv98BgLI5Q2M
Then save and update the page, the playlist should display the valid videos. Also clear any caching installed, maybe the page is not refreshing because of a cache you might have.
If you already tried it like this and the video does not appear in the playlist, please check the theme system status and make modifications to the parameters mentioned according to this guide, if necessary
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/

Thanks

Ah, so that´s why they couldn´t be changed from the theme panel 🙂

I was trying to recreate the layout of the News Magazine demo on my current install but couldn´t figure that one out. I realise I could just install the demo and go with that, however that will delete all my custom translations and font-settings etc. So will see how I´ll go about it.

Are there any drawbacks installing one of the demos and using that as the theme from there on? Compared to using the standard theme layout and changing it to mimic the demo that I want (which will also let me keep all the font/translation/etc-settings)?

Hi,

Maybe you are not configuring the shop page properly
https://www.screencast.com/t/dW3HjnekZ
This way the shop page should display all your products on the shop page. Here is a link to the Woocommerce plugin official documentation guide for setup and installation
https://docs.woocommerce.com/
You can also use elements from Woocommerce in the Visual composer editor for pages
https://www.screencast.com/t/tZqrtIPjSZ

Hello emperorzbigniew,

You can add those networks to the top header social icons or the footer social icons: https://www.screencast.com/t/sPawNdDl9cJ but if you require post sharing options or those particular social networks you can either add them customs like this example of LinkedIn or VK:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/add-linkedin-sharing-button/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-add-a-vk-sharing-button-on-your-posts/
Unfortunately, there is no simpler way except installing a share plugin.

Thank you!

Hi,

I only see this pagination problem on the post you mentioned. I am not able to recreate this on my side. Please provide more details about what exactly is this AMP and how did you create it. Also what do you mean by manual paging turning on or off. Maybe I am not understanding this properly.
You could try a new theme install and see if the problem is still there

Hi,

You can create the layout you want using the available elements from Visual composer. Here you can see all the available blocks and big grids that you can be used
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
With these and many more you can create unique designs for your website. Please also take a look at the theme demo’s which demonstrate the capabilities of the theme and what can be achieved through it

Thanks for your answer, I have a query. The theme can work without visual compuser since I do not need them.

The theme can work without installing the plungins visual compuser. Or there would be some problem.

I need to uninstall the plugins since I do not need them. On the cover I’m using the latest posts. I await your response, thank you.

I want to know if there would be any problem your not using the visual compuser

I´m doing some testing and just installed the demo for Magazine (https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_magazine/).

One thing I can´t figure out though is where to find the setting for changing the green color on the lines above the top-menu and just below the main-menu.

Where is that setting located?

carpediem

you need to add those 2 lines to your windows “hosts” file, and then access http://naturetech-stage.co.il

then you will see the website, it is not on local install, its just doesnt have a resolved domain attached to it.
