Most likely you would need a plugin which import the comments from facebook on your website or a custom code. I can’t make any recommendations as we didn’t test any of plugins available out there and I can’t say for sure which one will work best. Ok, I’ve done some tinkering and it seems to go back to the default mode now. What I did was delete and reinstall the theme and tagDiv Social Counter plugin to version 3.0 and it looks good. All I need to do now is to reconfigure the settings for the homepage.

Still no go for me. I have completely removed the plugin and the template. I have installed it again from the beginning and still not working for me.

My header logo isn’t showing up and hasn’t shown up for more than a week now.
I have the latest version of Newspaper installed and I’m using Header Style 6.
Any insight as to why this is happening?

You need a plugin for that, free or premium. I am using qtranslate-X on my http://www.photocommand.com, which is also complemented by WPBakery Visual Composer & qTranslate-X, Yoast SEO & qTranslate-X, Advanced Custom Fields: qTranslate as those plugins gave me those options.
If I was starting today, I am not sure I would use qtranslate-X (I read it is a hard one to uninstall if you need to and it is not the most SEO friendly (take care when setting your URLs in the language implementation options).

The best way to do it is as IngGeek suggests. Delete the old theme then download the new version from Envato and install it via FTP – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/. You will have to redo all your settings and customization so you will have to spare a bit of time to it as newspaper 6 was built from scratch and updating to it will be just like switching to a different theme.Make sure you do a back-up beforehand.

I’ve checked your site and noticed that you’re using V 4.6.3 of Newspaper and V 4.4.4 of VC. We received some reports in the past regarding the high CPU usage with this version of VC. If you want to stay with this version try to downgrade the VC plugin at V 4.3.5 which require lower resources.
If you want to use the curen version of Visual Composer plugin available with the theme, then you need to update the theme to version 6.5.1 which has support for later versions of VC plugin and it’s also included within full theme’s package.
The current version of the Visual Composer included in theme’s package (4.7.4) has been tested and works fine. Also the plugin has passed through a major update, lots of security vulnerabilities have been fixed
If you decide to update please follow this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ backup your current install, run the import settings script, update plugins and check the result. You can always get back to the previous working theme version if something goes wrong as long as you backup it but doing the update as instructed the theme should work fine.
You should also consider into the process at the following aspects:
– backup your current theme/WordPress/database: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
– setup a maintenance mode and you can use a plugin for that.
– empty all caches/purge files if you also use CDN host then disable any services of this type until you switch to the new theme
– disable all plugins
– install the theme then install the required plugins
– switch back the rest of the plugins and start other services

Unfortunately we cannot offer support for other plugins except the ones that are bundled with our theme. You will have to contact the plugin developer. As for other plugins not being able to install, It might be a server-side issue as Chris suggested. Please contact your hosting provider.

Part of it not understanding what you mean by “disk cache” in that reply. I have APC, Varnish, Memcache, Apache and Nginx all running. It’s a Cloudways managed setup, so my options are somewhat limited. My understanding is that WP Super Cache doesn’t work with reverse proxy or any of the other advanced stuff.
Your installs may not matter on this issue because you don’t have but a few plugins on any of the demos. Extra plugins means extra bloat and more need for premium caching.
Any further help on that is appreciated.
And as for W3TC’s claim that some flush method is responsible… are any instances used in the theme that I missed?

Unfortunately it is very hard to debug this thing without replicating it.
We run the theme about one year ago on nginx + w3total cache and we did not encounter any problems. I’ve also used in that time the APC user cache.
Why can’t you switch to disk caching + wp super cache? Even when disk caching is used, the linux kernel will actually cache the files in memory if ram is available : https://www.thomas-krenn.com/en/wiki/Linux_Page_Cache_Basics
We tested the apc cache VS the normal disk cache and we did not found big improvements. We are currently using wp super cache and normal php disk caching on all of our installs.

Delate old theme and install newer version. Its the best way, there are a lot of changues and i recomend you to reconfig everything on newer version

I’m writing here because I implemented Newspapper for a client, and i’m having performance problems.
The official requirements for the theme states that Godaddy should handle 2000 daily visits. I’m using the most expensive of the shared hosting plans on Godaddy, the site has less than 7500 monthly visits and WP Super Chache is running, but the CPU can’t handle the traffic.
I installed the “Query Monitor” plugin to find the queries that are consuming resources, and it seems that the problem is in Visual Composer:

I’ve been using Twitter, Facebook, SoundCloud, and Google+ in the counter widget. I don’t use it in VC. Adding the IG account is what threw the error. Haven’t been able to get the counter (at all) or anything down the document to load for any page where it’s supposed to show up since.
I tried deleting the plugin and installing fresh from the 6.5.1 release of Newspaper, no joy. Not sure what else to do here but report the bug. Made changes to the accounts used (flirted with not showing the SoundCloud profile) about a month ago with everything up to date (WP, VC, Counter, Newspaper, etc.). The only thing that has changed in that time is that I now run on PHP v5.6 instead of v5.5. First issue I’ve had with it since Feb 2014.
No clue what to try next and not making much of the error log to tell me what to fix.

I have the JS code snippet from Google Analytics with my unique UA-ID and tried to copy this in Theme Panel>Analytics, but Analytics still displays “Tracking Not Installed”.
I have also tried this using the verifying option on SEO Yoast but again this still hasn’t worked.
I have noticed that the JS code does is not just before the </head> line, could this be the issue?

I am not sure that this issue is related with the host provider, so lease make sure you follow the steps indicated in our documentation regarding the VC installation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ deactivate all others plugins, clear all caches and test again.

Please make sure that you install the plugin from the Newspaper-tf\plugins path. Before the installing a newer version of the plugin, delete the current one, make sure that in html/wp-content/plugins is no folder called: js_composer then try to install the plugin again.
