Please notice that what you want to achieve it is not a simple task, sorry! Each demo has an own style design with an own CSS code, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/waaYk9LkgEG If you want to have the similar layout for your website, I suggest you installing the Black Version of the theme (with/without content) and because what you want to achieve to adjust the Default layout to Balck version it is more difficult, require time-consuming, custom work and we cannot provide this type of services at the moment, sorry! Simply, you have to use our Black version.

Before you use a wordpress theme you will have to understand the basics of wordpress. You will already need to know how to add content to your site using wordpress so you might want to search for a few WP tutorials before using themes. Our theme does not change any default functionality of wordpress on how to add content to a website. A demo adds content to your site: posts, categories and pages. We do not recommend editing the demo content as if you decide to switch demos in the future, the demo content will be removed even if you edited it. We suggest installing a demo without content like this guide suggests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
And then add your own content to the site.

So, regarding on your issue, please try to make a new fresh install from scratch with the latest version of the theme (Newspaper 7.3). Also, please notice that your installation should have to be made only via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard and then, you will have to try to install one of our demo sites, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/

Since last 4-5 days , I am working on Newspaper theme for day and night and have done many modifications. But there are few parts of various demos that I do not know to imply. Since I am the creative unique layout for my home page so I don’t’ really want to import the full demo settings from any particular demo types.
Though for learning purpose I do have options to take the backup of my current homepage using “Visual editor classic mode” and then install any demo I want to use. But the real problem is- Installing new demo layout not only changed the Homepage layouts but it also changes various other settings like theme color, header , fonts etc.
I have already worked hours for other settings and hence I don’t want to loose any other settings. So, I want only “Classic mode codes” from all our demo layout styles. or If there is any other way to get the “classic mode” layouts for homepage like using google chrome “view page source options etc.
If it’s not possible to provide classic mode codes for all themes , please give me the codes for “http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_blog_travel/ ” because I love the first front page slider on this page and I want to use it.
or if you can suggest any other method to achieve what I want to achieve, please let me know.

We do not recommend editing the demo content. We created the demo content for users to have a visual representation of the theme with a bit of content, but this content will be removed if you decide to change demos.
VERY IMPORTANT: if you edit the demo content and then switch demos, your edited content will be removed.
We suggest installing the demo without content and start creating your own content. You can use page templates to help out on pages: https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/

We have just purchased the theme yesterday. We are using the latest WordPress.
But unfortunately after installing the demo, the site went blank. I checked the plugins and found out that VC plugin was causing the error. When I enable it, the site won’t load below the menu. When disabled, it loads the site with all the VC codes.
Can you help me out on this?

This is in fact recommended. You have to remove the demo content, bnot edit it, as if you do, in the future, if you decide to switch demos, the demo content will be removed, edited or not. For this we added the poissibility of installing just the demo, without the dummy data. Hello, we have a purchased version of Newspaper for one of our two websites, and we absolutely love it. We have a second website that we would more likely than not like to use the theme on (and would purchase a second license), but we want to go with one of the demo sites for the core template of this second site.
Unfortunately, our first site is now live, and there’s no way for me to test the demo templates without installing a second instance of WordPress on a subdomain. Would it be against the themes terms to do that in order to test the functionality?
We like the menu layout of the Car Enthusiast demo, but would like to use the Revolution Slider from the Travel Blog above the main menu bar. Is that possible?

If you like the demo, you need to install it by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/ Every demo has it’s own look and style and that cannot be replicated on another demo as it’s made custom. All you have to do is install the demo with our without dummy content.

Unfortunately every demo has it’s own unique css style and in most cases the look cannot be recreated on other demos without substantial css coding as every demo is custom made and takes quite a bit of time. You are better of just installing the demo if you like the design.
If you are trying to recreate the top section of the video news homepage: http://screencast.com/t/ftQKvwtG you will have to add your visual composer elements in a full width row and set a background color from the row settings like so: http://screencast.com/t/rddkk49Fzm – http://screencast.com/t/lVBZqqHzvw
It will require a bit of css for positioning. You can add an extra class to the row and target the elements based on that specific class.

When replying to a long message thread I believe it is important to have Bogdan reply to me since he will understand the continuing issue. This is your first reply to me and you have misunderstood the entire problem forcing me to write again and kill another day. Just out of concern for your customers perhaps you could read the entire message thread first before replying to a customer so you can understand the context of our conversation. Just my opinion. This is especially important just now…the very absolute LAST reply from you guys that I needed since June 30th, 2 weeks, before I may have to delete my entire installation of WordPress and start from scratch with everything!
What happened is I uninstalled the Newspaper theme which had become corrupted soon after I installed it — giving me 404 errors on every page. SO I deleted Newspaper and reinstalled in. However, I never saw the full theme again…only an empty blog page:

I need to get back the full Newspaper theme, with the entire layout & dummy content, before I do anything else. If that is not possible, then I need to uninstall and re-install WordPress as well as Newspaper from scratch — basically killing weeks of work due to a BUG in Newspaper that corrupted all the Newspaper files — both the PHP and somehow, I think, whatever Newspaper stores in the WordPress database.
But before I do all that I just want a little more clarity with TAGDIV since that will be helpful to both you guys and me! I was hoping for a way to reinstall the Newspaper theme in my existing WordPress, both files and database, without having to reinstall WordPress itself from scratch, and then reinstalling Newspaper from scratch.
Hope this all makes sense and we can resolve this in the next email. Either there is a way for me to fix my current Newspaper theme — or — I need to go ahead and uninstall everything, the theme AND WordPress, and start over, destroying weeks of work. Please let me know what you think.

A demo usually just applies the style if demo content is not selected. You will have to create your own layout. please edit the page you get and add content to it or install the demo content if you have not already.
