Hi,
If you want to change the link destination for the logo you will have to edit these files from the theme, and modify the default home link to what you want
– https://www.screencast.com/t/huYiWOZ1
– https://www.screencast.com/t/0Ys8OZfze
There is no function I could provide to make this automatically, unfortunately.
Thanks

Hi, I’m looking for a function that I can use in a plugin to change the destination of the main logo URL. We use a reverse proxy setup and need to change the URL of the main logo. We did this for Enfold (see example code below), but are looking for one for Newspaper.
Thanks so much!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Example (for Enfold theme):
function av_change_logo_link($link)
{
$link = “https://www.mysite.com”;
return $link;
}
add_filter(‘avf_logo_link’,’av_change_logo_link’);

If you want a background-image in the header and a seperate logo,
This works for me:
.td-banner-wrap-full, .td-header-style-11 .td-logo-wrap-full {
background: #000000 url(https://www.yourwebsite.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/yourbackgroundimage.jpg) no-repeat;
background-size: 100% 100%;
}

Hello.
I am having a problem regarding the featured pictures of my post and how they look in my home page.
I do not know what dimensions to use in the uploaded photos. I now use 800×450 witch is 16:9.
The problem is that if the article from a block 1 appears in another block also the picture is cropped. And in some cases that they are logos the problem seems even worse.
Is there any settings to setup so the pictures may be resized but not cropped? Is there anything else I can do to fix it?
My url of my website to check the problem is http://1.aagora.gr
Thank you,
Stratos
Thanks. We tried using our logo, but found that we had too many non-imaged posts so our logo was splattered all over the front page.
But, you did spur an idea, and that’s to have lots of generic images available.
Thanks.
Hi, not sure this helps, but what we did was a generic “news image” with a satellite dish, our site logo, and use this as ‘featured’ image for stories with no actual photo; this way something gets shared on social if story shared, but also on modules where the ghost image does nothing useful and blank spot would not work with module layouts …
Just curious how I go about removing About Us text below the logo in the mobile footer?

Hi,
Please provide more details about what and how exactly you would like to modify, so I may give you a more accurate answer. If you want to make the header more compact for example, you could use a code like this, or make additional modifications to it
– https://www.screencast.com/t/qatQRwPL
.td-header-style-1 .td-header-sp-logo {
margin: 0 28px 0 28px;
}
.td-header-style-1 .td-header-sp-recs {
margin: 0;
}
Thanks
Background Shows here: http://www.theotcreporter.com/category/tech/
Not on any other page.
Also on that page it’s not even showing the correct logo or background image but one previously uploaded.
I’ve been changing out logos, background images, etc. Sometimes they take, sometimes they don’t. Sometimes only on one page and not the others. Very weird. I’m using WP-Engine. Also looking at the theme system status. Says WP Memory limit could be increased from 40MB. Or max_input_vars is low. Would any of this be effecting this?
Hi,
Try inserting you link like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/Y5FCXKBJhCJ
Or maybe you could try last piece of code from this topic to redirect the logout
– https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/243877/wp-logout-not-redirecting-using-wp-logout-url-and-wp-redirect
You can find multiple solutions online about redirecting the wp_logout_url, that you can try.
Thanks
Deaar support,
How can I setup a custom logout redirection in top-menu (Newspaper->Parts->Header->top-menu).
Thanks.
Hello!
I just bough the theme and I am loving it so far. I am using big grid 3 on my home page, and I am linking most of the blocks to other pages, which is easy enough. I am having trouble linking one of the blocks to a specific link, though. For example, one link is to the same home page, but to an area with an anchor (#logos). I cannot seem to figure out how to edit the big grid to add this anchored link. Can you help? Thank you!
Hi,
If you have the mobile theme plugin activated then there will be no changes visible when you modify the respective files. The mobile theme uses it’s own files regarding the logo. Unfortunately the mobile theme does not have support for the child theme. Any modifications will have to be made directly to the file
– https://www.screencast.com/t/VBLey0yff1L6
If you want to modify the file you mention, please deactivate the mobile theme and the changes made to it through the child theme, will be visible.
Thanks
Hi,
You could style the text logo tagline with a Css code. The default properties come from the demo style
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ZDL4usieH
Like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/W0LjXjJMltBO
This is the code used in the example if you decide to use it and further style the tagline
.td-politics .td-header-style-11 .td-tagline-text {
font-size: 15px;
font-style: italic;
}
Or you could make the changes directly in the demo stylesheet

Thanks
Hi Catalin,
Thanks for the advice. We’ve made a lot of progress.
1. We’ve updated the theme and are now using version 7.8.1
2. We’ve deactivated WP Supercache while we’re working on the site
3. We created a child theme. Here’s how it looks:
Newspaper-child
….parts
……..header
…………logo-mobile.php
….functions.php
….screenshot.png
….style.css
Contents of style.css:
/*
Theme Name: Newspaper 7 Child theme
Theme URI: http://themeforest.net/user/tagDiv/portfolio
Description: Child theme made by tagDiv
Author: tagDiv
Author URI: http://themeforest.net/user/tagDiv/portfolio
Template: Newspaper
Version: 7.7c
Text Domain: Newspaper-child
*/
/* —————————————————————————-
This file will load automatically when the child theme is active. You can use it
for custom CSS.
*/
Contents of functions.php:
<?php
/* —————————————————————————-
Newspaper V6.3+ Child theme – Please do not use this child theme with older versions of Newspaper Theme
What can be overwritten via the child theme:
– everything from /parts folder
– all the loops (loop.php loop-single-1.php) etc
– please read the child theme documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
– the rest of the theme has to be modified via the theme api:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-theme-api/
*/
/* —————————————————————————-
add the parent style + style.css from this folder
*/
add_action( ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘theme_enqueue_styles’, 1001);
function theme_enqueue_styles() {
wp_enqueue_style(‘td-theme’, get_template_directory_uri() . ‘/style.css’, ”, TD_THEME_VERSION, ‘all’ );
wp_enqueue_style(‘td-theme-child’, get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . ‘/style.css’, array(‘td-theme’), TD_THEME_VERSION . ‘c’, ‘all’ );
}
When I make changes to parts -> header -> mobile-logo.php those changes are not reflected on the site when I view them from a mobile device.
As an experiment I removed a semicolon from the end of a line in mobile-logo.php to generate a syntax error. Nothing happened on the site.
Digging deeper I went to the parent theme and deleted a semi-colon from the same file to see if it was being picked up there. No dice! After that I went crazy and created several syntax errors in different files to see if I could crash the site. None of my changes had any effect. After that I put everything back.
Is there caching going on somewhere else besides my plugin? What else could be going on to explain that none of my changes at the filesystem level are taking effect?

1. Am I able to edit the font (style & size) of my TEXT LOGO TAGLINE?
2. If yes, how please.
Thanks
The favicon should be *theoretically* set universally. However, I’m looking at Hostgator’s logo (my hosting provider) when I check the favicon for mobile via Google Chrome browser.
How do I set the favicon for the mobile then?
Hello,
Header style 9 uses the full image you uploapd to the logo. In order to have a bigger logo, you will have to upload a bigger image. If you want to have the main menu boxed like the logo is now, you should use the theme boxed version. This is done by applying a background color to the theme. Even white counts. It will make the theme go into boxed mode: https://www.screencast.com/t/h8eF8sNUT
Thank you!
Hello,
Please make sure you upload the full size for your logo, not a thumbnail of it: https://www.screencast.com/t/frmtYDMjUa
Thank you!
