As a workaround you can add a fixed width and heigh (not affectin mobile) so you will be certain the container will always stya the same as the normal logo and not be biger on retina displays:

For example Header styles 9,10 and 11 do not have a limit for the logo

I have inspected your website and I saw that you do not respect the recommended size for your logo, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/XCJIwWPvR Why? You should have 272*90 px for your logo. Otherwise, you will bring some white spaces (padding). After these changes, clear all your caches and check the results.

update:
pretty much at my wit’s end on this and am finished for the day. what a total waste of time. really discourages me from fiddling with this any longer.
i disabled the background image and simply set an off-white color for the background. but that made no difference in terms of the slider image staying within the confines of the div class .td-container.tdc-content-wrap. i fiddled with revslider settings, i changed header and logo positions and still nothing. the slider image is not extending the width of the browser window.
also, in terms of the Main Menu (Header style), there is another problem. i prefer not to use the centered main menu (style 10) but the left-justified instead (style 9). however, unlike the problematic revslider image, the left-justified menu extends all the way to the left of the browser window as i resize it. it shouldn’t. it should stay within the confines of the .td-container.tdc-content.wrap class. it looks stupid all the way to the left when the logo stays centered on the page.
i want the revslider to extend the width of the page, not the menu. right now, it’s backwards.
i’m just about to throw up my hands on this. i’ve commented out most of the css rules i created, thus, everything i’ve done to this point has been a waste of time. and i still haven’t gotten this layout right. and that’s before i add any content, which is the real work.
i don’t know what to do next except scuttle this theme and try another one.

I used a phone number in the form of an image in the header instead of logo and wanted to know if i could make it a phone link. Something like
or otherwise, the mobile header is very small for our logo, is there anyway to increase its size?
I’m using the Header AD spot in the mobile theme to get around problem but didn’t want to waste space in header area.
FYI my HTML/code knowledge is from 1999/2000 so not that great.

Ok…can I use css to limit the size of the container? The problem is, my image isn’t showing the desired sharpness and quality on the full logo header. When the size of the container is limited, it compresses the image and I get a higher quality. Can you give css to fix this? Thanks!
thank you for the support. I have created a png file with my logo plus the text. The text is in right of the logo, so now I have logo and the text as one image. the logo place holder has 272 x 90px. Where can I change that to accommodate my new logo image? My new logo is 600 x 90px.

On the sticky menu you can display the mobile logo or the main header logo

One of these options has to be chosen, or you can disable the feature and not display a logo at all.
Please note that when the header affix is present, meaning the sticky menu, the logo will be reduced in size by default.

I have followed the size requirements for the logo and uploaded it. However, when I do do it does not size right and remains too large for the area allowed with the ad space at the side. See http://www.argusnews.org for the current view with to much white or empty space around it. I have had to add extra space around the image in Photoshop in order for the whole logo to fit. this is not what I would like to happen.

Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option that allows you to add a logo with text, but only the text as the logo, sorry! If you want to have some text below or above your logo, you can edit your logo image in Photoshop for example and add there what text you want to have and then load the logo in theme.

In the full logo headers, the container does not have a limit set to it so a retina image will show the full size of the logo you upload. The image you upload is the one you will get on the retina display. On these header styles the retina functionality will not work as the rest because you cannot limit the size of the container as it will no longer be a full logo header. On these header styles please upload the size you want to show on each display as what you upload will be shown on the site in the original size.

thanks. i’m working my way through this. there’s probably a better way to make changes than the way i’m doing — writing a lot of new CSS rules, but I’ve come across two issues that I need a little further help/input on.
• First is the sticky menu. I’m using Style 9 for the Header, with my custom-made Logo (and Retina Logo) uploaded and linked.
Also, I’m using a reversed-out (white) version of the logo for the footer (because of the dark footer background color) as well as for mobile devices (also because of the dark background color).
The problem is, when the menu becomes sticky on Desktop dimensions, the logo it’s using is the (white) mobile logo. Thus, since I’m using a very light background on my main page and header, the sticky logo is not visible. Is there a special CSS rule I can write that will use a smaller version of my MAIN logo for the small sticky menu, rather than it defaulting to the white mobile logo?
• Second, I’m using the politics revslider from the demo and will swap out the pics and link them to new titles and stories. However, I noticed what seems to be a bug. A lot of people MAXIMIZE their browser windows on desktop (especially Windows users), and what happens is that the text in the right-side div of the slider image goes off the page, i.e., outside the boundaries of the picture.
I looked at the rule for the class .tp-tabs.inner.hebe.nav-pos-hor-right.nav-pos-ver-center.nav-dir-vertical and it appears to be positioned absolutely. I tried to add a right-size margin, using both a percentage and a pixel width, but none worked. Neither did attempts at adding padding-right. I noticed you have a 50%/50% rule in the CSS to push in the text evenly on window downsizing, but the problem occurs on window “upsizing.”
Note that this is only an issue on desktop dimensions and larger (since the right-hand column is not used on mobile device screen dimensions). I think it may have something to do with the maximum page width, but before I do anymore back-and-forth chasing down this quirk I thought I’d ask you about it first.

is there a way to display the logo + logo text same time. I have a small logo that want to display, but when I upload the logo it takes away our name in text and just displays the logo. If I take out the logo then I just see the our name (just the text).

The problem I am having is this: When I put in a logo that is the proper size, it is not clearly legible. When I add the retina logo (I am working on a macbook pro with a retina screen) the logo simply gets bigger. It doesn’t compress to make the logo image sharper as it does with the previous logo styles. Thanks for your help.

I use Style 11 Header on heypretty.com and up until a few weeks ago the logo was centered as it should. Now for some time it is aligned left. I tried a few things but for the life of me cannot see how this became ‘broken’. It could be that a plugin interferes but i was not able to find the culprit.
what I tried:
- uploaded a new logo
- made sure there are no ’empty’ header ad banners
- played around with different ways of compressing css and js
any help is very appreciated

Hello,
Style 7 has issues with logos as big as yours. It needs a smaller logo in order to position properly.
You can replace the fade on header style 7 with a line using this code:
.td-header-style-7 .td-header-gradient:before{
border-top: 2px solid black;
}
You can make the logo position properly with a custom css code tough but now you do not use header style 7 on your site so I cannot inspect it.

I do not understand exactly what you would like to do. Please provide more details about this, where exactly you want to add this phone number and what is it supposed to do. There is no default option to add anything else then a logo in the header.

-This image which you gave above is used for logo section and there you cannot add featured post slider. If you want to have a slider, you simply use the Visual Composer and add from there. -You should use a simple block sorted by your latest posts and inside this, you should add your recipes.
-Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option that allows your to show newsletter. If you want to do this, you should use a plugin with this functionality.
If you need more additional customization, notice that we cannot provide something like that and please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you in this case.

I would like to put my own personal advertisement next to the logo on the header. To clarify, where the google adsense advertisement would go in header, I would like to put my own box instead. Is this an option? Or I can only put google adsense banners in this spot? Is there are work around?
You have not addressed the issue with Style 7: Logo Style 7 is not compressing the logo image, it is not legible, and it is too wide which forces the main menu down creating too much white space…as you can see here: http://e50.4da.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Logo-style-7.jpg.
Secondly in Logo Style 7, I would like to remove the fade at the bottom of Style 7 and replace it with a line. Do you have code that will do this?
Logo Styles 9, 10, and 11 are too tall…I would like to have the menu to the right of my logo as it is in Logo Style 7.

Unfortunately the theme does not have a setting to make the logo link to anything else. You can use a 301 redirect or alter the theme code in order to get the logo to link to another url.
