Hello, I am looking to add an additional navigation menu that is similar to what can be seen on menshealth.com and popularmechanics.com … it is a little three-bar icon to the left of their header logo, and when clicked, a full menu appears in the left side of browser window.

It is almost like the kind of icon you see when a nav menu gets minimized on a mobile device. .. same style. But, in my case, I will make this ‘additional menu’ actually not appear on mobile. I just want that functionality as seen on those other modern sites. Any ideas on how best to implement this? Is there a built-in way to do this with the Newspaper theme? Or perhaps I will need to custom code. Open to suggestions, thanks!!
I’ll show you the vertical and the horizontal mode. If you navigate starting with horizontal mode logo loads well, if you read from vertical and then turn on the smartphone the logo grows up.

1) The header menu will make the logo fit the scrolling menu. Do you want to have the full size logo in the scrolling version of the menu?
2) you can use this css to remove the menu on a 404 page:
.error404 #menu-new-menu-1{
display:none!important;
}
3) This issue is caused by the plugin you use for the contact form. Please use contact form 7 as that is the tested plugin with our theme.

Please create your own topic when having support questions not related to the topic you post on. Your issue is very different. For some reason, your theme cannot find the index.php file. I was going to open a new topic about this logo behaviour on smartphones because I thought it was a problem like manojkhatri did, but now I see it’s how this style 9 works… I would like the logo was inside in the menu and search bar because with this 9style logo looks a little big. The perfect size in the PC is not perfect for smartphones. And if you turn the smartphone to read on horizontal mode is worse.
I think it would be a very nice update if you can change that. But if it is not possible I won’t be worry so much, the theme is practically a 10 for me 🙂

I have a logo that is more of a vertical oriented shape and i would like the menu to align at the vertical direction with the bottom line of the logo instead of the default top alignment with the logo being on the left.

I tried to change any elements in my front page with visual composer but i couldn´t because it doesn´t appear.
Hitting F12 it show me this error: Uncaught TypeError: $template.get is not a function Composer-view.is:165
When i try to do it the visual composer logo start to loading but never ends.
Also i tried to open a new page for editing it but i couldn´t add new blocks, templates or items :/
Any ideas?

Please ensure that you have used the same header style as in the demo, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/OQrhrHT4H ->> td_header-style-11 because this header uses the full logo. hi, just a little question. i’d like to have a bigger logo on the classic blog demo, just as this one:
http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_classic_blog/ (which is 500 x 234)
but on the theme panel i still only have the possibility of the “normal” logo (272 x 90) and as i long as i try uploading bigger logos o just the retina one, theme always resizes it.
is there a chance of fixing it by the theme panel or should i work on the code?

Does anyone know the color code for the “black” header bar in the Newspaper mobile app.
I am designing a logo with a dark background. However, when I made the logo black it was slightly darker than the header bar. Due to the nature of the logo I cannot make the logo transparent so I want it to match the header bar.

I’m not sure exactly what you want ‘fixed’. Our theme re-sizes the logo to fit the header style you use. If you want to have the logo in a specified size, you nee to use one of these 3 header styles that will not re-size the logo: http://screencast.com/t/FYwi2Wqx The other header styles will adapt your logo size to the containers so it will display properly within the given areas.

I just noticed this. If you visit my site and scroll to the bottom where the logo and the social icons are.
I notice that all my social icons in the lower right are now scrumbled in Chineses or something.

It seems this is the issue. Our theme supports custom logo, but not the default wo custom logo. We have our own. This is the case with every premium theme. Not all plugins can tie into the code as it’s custom made. If you truly need to use the plugin, you will have to get some help and adapt the theme code to support the default wp custom logo and other adaptations needed for the plugin to work properly. Unfortunately we cannot offer customization services at the moment. sorry. you can hire a freelancer for this from sites like studio.envato.com
