You could try adding this to your custom css:
.header-logo-wrap img { margin: -5% 0 -8% 0; }

I UPLOADED THE LOGO’S IN THE SIZE THAT IS ASKED/RECOMMENDED.. (300X100 AND RETRINA 600X200)

I NOW UPLOADED A 300X100 INTO THE RETINA600X200, BUT IT DIDN’T SHORTEN THE HEIGHT OF THE HEADER.

I EVEN UPLOADED AN EVEN SMALLER LOGO OF 150X50 BUT THE ONLY THING THAT CHANGED WAS THE QUILITY OF THE LOGO..

HOW CAN IS DO THIS WITH THE MARGINS?

Hi Marius,

Thanks for your reply. I want to keep my logo above the menu, on the left.

You can view my website here : http://www.guide-du-chien.com.

So the file where i need to ad the code is header-style-1.php. But I would like to keep your code
<?php
// show the header ad spot
echo td_global_blocks::get_instance(‘td_ad_box’)->render(array(‘spot_id’ => ‘header’));
?>
and moove it in the good position, under the menu. I would like to keep your code because i can deasable adds on phones via theme panel.

I tried to moove it on the file menu-header.php but the add appears on the slide or on the beggining of the post.

What can i do Marius ?

Thanks very much

The default is 300x70px, which makes my logo small. How do I change this to the size of my logo?

Radu

Hi,

you can try this code (add it via themepanel -> css). It will make the logo a bit bigger. I cannot move it in the same line with the buttons :|. If you want to adjust it’s size play with the 142% value (for size) and -20% (for centering)

/* responsive phone */
@media (max-width: 767px) {
 .td-logo {
  max-width: 142%;
  position: relative;
  left: -20%;
 }
}

Hope this is ok,
Radu O.

Hello,
And you want to keep the logo above the menu?
Style 4 move the logo + ad below the menu or Style 6

Choose a style that i the best for you and what you can do is to put the ad directly in code, you fill find the style file in parts folder: http://screencast.com/t/DhzNXEK06

Thanks!

I have adopted style 3 for my header on http://www.abritandasoutherner.com and am really happy with how this looks on the desktop version.

However, when using this on the mobile version I would prefer to have the header/logo beside the navigation button and search button rather than directly above it. Is this possible?

Alternatively, if this is not an option, is it possible to increase the height of the header on the mobile version, whenever I view this on my iPhone in portrait mode, it appears fairly thin (height is only 39px)?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Cheers

Chris

Hello kazantipman

Look in the Style.css
Line 668-685

You have to find this code

@media (max-width: 767px) {
.mobile-logo-wrap img {
width: 170px;
position: absolute;
right: 10px;
top: -3px;
display: block;

Just add z-index: 9999; in the end, after display: block;
it should be like this

@media (max-width: 767px) {
.mobile-logo-wrap img {
width: 170px;
position: absolute;
right: 10px;
top: -3px;
display: block;
z-index:99999;

AND SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH, JUST TRYING TO HELP 🙂

Hello Radu,

I’ll be using the normal image ad that the theme provides for. So i will appreciate the two ad codes for the header. one on the left of the logo and the other on the right.

Google Adsense is not a priority, only a plus if you can find time to hack it up for me.

Regards
Effiong

Any chance I could get that solution as well? Thanks!

I feel you… it costed me income because NONE of my ads were showing 🙁

When I managed to get them back, the 728×90 header ad appears over my logo in the 980 responsive layout :/

Radu/marius, how can we solve this? I’ve changed the site format to 1170 resp. now but now pics which I cut specifically for 980 are showing gray boundaries around them as it’s not fully transparant (or so).

Hello,
This code echo the date http://screencast.com/t/Sj78UDUH
You can move it in other place.

You can edit that file menu-top.php(V3) and create 3 columns like here: http://screencast.com/t/5MapRvm27YG

Thanks!

Hello,
When you add the logo in menu, that create a menu in item, you have to take the selector of that item and use it instead of .menu-item-525 number

I show you an example with your logo:

1. I’ve added the logo in menu with img http://screencast.com/t/klXNT9666Z2
2. Go to you site and see the logo, click to inspect it with firefox or chrome inspector and see what ID have in menu(in my case have 4224 http://screencast.com/t/I0BexzmDd
3. Add this CSS in style.css, don’t forget to replace the ID with yours.

.menu-item-4224  {
    display: none;
}
.affix .menu-item-4224  {
    display: block;
}

4. Results: http://screencast.com/t/VhdRQuH4cy

Hope this help!

Hello,
Yes, upload a smaller logo. The header height depends by the logo and ad from inside.
Also if is there some margins can be removed from CSS.

Give me you site URL to inspect it.
Thanks for the message!

Thanks adgower.
Unfortunately I’m not a CSS expert 🙂
Anyway, I would like to hear from dev team about the solution.

Thanks in advance.

1. I would like to make my header option look like this

Left Ad + Logo + Right Ad

2. I’ve made custom fields for my documents format. So far i’ve been able to display the field values

$buffy .= '<div class="doc-info">';
$buffy .= get_post_meta($this->post->ID, "label_pub", true);
$buffy .= '</div>';

I’m having trouble displaying the field label and somehow i can’t get echo or print to work in the buffy loop.

Thanks for prompt help

You could try looking in the style.css located in the theme folder

CSS

You could try setting the background image to a separate logo LINK

I did. My logo looks good on PC, but it includes some text and graphics, so when theme resize it, it doesn’t look good on mobile. I want to make simpler version.
