Can I remove the search bar in the mobile menu?
Is there any way to replace default mobile menu with a plugin like Uber menu?
Or is there any way to disable animations of the default menu, so it would look more minimalistic?
In other words – can I have a classic mobile menu without transitions, background, etc.?
‘Font Awesome 4 Menus’ hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. The plugin last updated 2 years ago. I used the latest WordPress version. What should I do? Should I install it or not? Is there any alternate option?
Earlier, I used ‘Menu Icons’ sometimes. It was good till WordPress 4.9 but in WordPress 5, some icon gets attached to the menu text without giving any space between them in the mobile theme.
The Mobile menu drop down arrows are on the far extreme right.
How can I position these arrows to be just after the menu item instead on the other side of the screen?
I dont want to remove them from desktop, they are fine.
and I dont want to remove them from mobile, just position the arrows closer to the menu item.
so the user knows that its a drop down, because since the arrows are far on the right, they are obscured by the image.
We have an image on the menu to the right, and the menu itself loads to the left normally, but the arrow dropdowns are just too far to the right.
here is an illustrated example from your demo site.

suggestions?
Can you take a look at the mobile-menu in the same header linked above? How to align the elements horizontal in the same row…?
Hi,
Now in version 9.5 this is possible, you can select the menu for mobile theme direct from tagDiv Composer
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ZdZBYSjMP
-> https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-newspaper-theme-9-5-update/
Hope this will help you to achieve what you need!
Thank you!
Hi,
Just installed the latest version of the Newspaper theme for my site located at: https://www.dirtsheet.com/
For some reason the mobile/responsive menu fails to load. You can tell there is some type of javascript conflict as it will load if you give it several seconds (maybe half a minute or more). I have already tried disabling all plugins and I am not using any type of caching plugins at the moment.
Please help! Thanks!
I have the same problem with this update! The mobile menu redirects to the homepage, only when I try to open it on the homepage.
This is pretty urgent.

Hey when i click on row and select the 3 part, it creates them under eachother, not next to each other
I want to make my mobile menu like this
(MENU)-LOGO-(SEARCH)
but it makes it like this
(MENU)
(LOGO)
(SEARCH)
I know i can move it in css but its messy
Edit: its only like that on mobile
Hi,
The logo image could be transparent, so it would depend on the background color below it. On mobile you could set a white color for the menu bar and a black color for the icons in the theme panel – http://prntscr.com/mhwaqy
The result would be like this – http://prntscr.com/mhw9s7
Thanks
Hi,
For mega menu please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.
For logo on mobile, you can use custom css
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/rGq7CyvpM
Set the code in Newspaper>Them panel>Custom code>Custom css
.td-logo-in-header .td-sticky-mobile.td-mobile-logo {
display: none;
}
or use the composer and header builder for mobile device
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/XiSLUcyqH
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/gjaYPeJzig9
and edit the logo how you want.
Here you’ll found some documentation ->https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-newspaper-theme-9-5-update/
Thank you for your understanding!
maybe they missed out on adding the option on enabling it so there will be 9.5.1?
That’s a big mistake in a so-called Big Update if this is true. They hyped the update to feature autoload and no option, no official guide for it. Wow!
I noticed that tagdiv only focused on increasing customers and theme look/design. Instead of doing that if they focus on theme users and visitors basic need and engagement, that will be great. Obviously, the theme needs look and design but tagdiv themes are becoming bulky with so many unnecessary options without simple/useful features.
1. Last Updated option for single post
2. Total Share count in single post
3. The views count displays in numerical format only. It should be like 10K, not 10000.
4. Main menu background gradient color. (Currently, they provided custom code, but not officially implemented)
5. Which posts are mostly viewed or trending (indicates a flash/AMP like icon) feature missing. So, the visitors can engage with trending posts automatically.
6. Alert Message box in the post/page content (Tips/Info/Warning/Success) missing
7. The text highlight feature doesn’t cover the full border area like a separate paragraph. Which looks ugly and not justified aligned as well.
8. No Pros and Cons section for reviews. You have to manually set a good/bad column. That’s poor.
9. No product price, where to buy link, shop link, shop logo icon for the review section. These points should be added in a box format.
10. Enable post-split option in the text editor with different styles in an easy way. The current option is slightly messy.
11. Add truncated mobile or tablet article option with ‘continue reading’ tag to load faster and engage more visitors.
12. Make your social share option for single post more lightning fast. Sometimes it takes time to load even after full article load.
13. Kindly add default ‘Inline Related Posts’ option with nav bar (2 posts at least)
As a user or a well-wisher, these mentioned points are really useful for all. Even after having 70k+ customers, the tagdiv team not focusing on actual need. We don’t need hundreds of templates, libraries if they don’t come in handy.
For more details, If I failed to explain properly, check the JNews Theme for once. I’m using the theme for another site. It’s extremely fast to load in any device. It has Fewer features in terms of the Tagdiv themes but very accurate with the important things. Then you guys can only understand what’s missing actually. Take your time and improve your theme. There is no hurry. But don’t do these things in the name of a big update.
Hi,
In order to have there a menu you’ll need to set a main menu, because the menu from mobile version is the one from main menu; here is our documentation for Main menu https://forum.tagdiv.com/main-menu/
Thank you for your understanding!
My logo on desktop has white background and looks great
https://prnt.sc/mhr44q
But on mobile, the background is black
https://prnt.sc/mhr3yn
Is it possible to change the background color to white and the hamburger menu and search menu color black?
Hi,
The mobile menu is not working on the homepage only. We tested several iPhones and Android. It worked on 2 other iPhones we tested but not the iPhoneX and it also didn’t also work on my Samsung. The menu works on all other pages on the mobile site. Here is the site:
How do I fix this? https://mycentralfloridafamily.com/
thanks,
Thanks for the fast reply, unfortunately this doesn’t seem to be working. I did put the code in the theme panel css section as told, the menu on my mobile device is still blank.

Hi,
If you are not using the mobile theme, then the answer is yes, you can shot the top bar on mobile version using some custom css
Enter it in Theme panel->Custom CSS section, then the top menu will appear on mobile.
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-top-menu,
.td-header-top-menu-full,
.td-header-sp-top-menu {
display: block!important;
text-align: center;
}
.td-social-icon-wrap{
display:none;
}}

Also here is our documentation for top bar -> Top bar templates
Thank you!
Hi,
So here’s what’s up: I would like to use a “header style 12” for my website where the top bar comes under the logo icon. Now my question is – is it possible to show the top bar items in the mobile menu version? I just wanna use the top bar but when i remove the main menu items and leave only the top bar, the items from the mobile version disappear. Hope you guys can help me out with this!

Hello,
as the saying goes ‘If You Don’t Ask, You Won’t Get It’ so here is some suggestions for the next update 🙂
Full Layout control
– Simple Option Boxed/Full (not add a background to enable boxed layout…)
– Content/Sidebar ratio (right now fixed at 66%/33%) 33% for a sidebar it’s too much.
– Container width control.
– Gutter width control | left and right content gutter, left and right sidebar gutter.
Add padding and margin control for H1..H6 Post Title etc…
Add templates for Reviews.
When you have a thematic website you will used most of the time the same Reviews criterias for your posts
ex: Mobile reviews
– 1) Design
– 2) OS
– 3) Camera Quality
– 4) Average battery life
– 5) Performance
etc
ex: Restaurant reviews
– 1) Food quality
– 2) Service quality
– 3) Price
– 4) Accessibility
etc
So it’s will be great to not have to rebuild each time the same review for each post.
Be able to add custom image size.
Have a better control of some post templates
– Custom Featured Image size (if the Content/Sidebar ratio is changed the Featured Image width need to be changed too)
or build a formula to detect the good Featured Image size | (Container width) – ( (all gutter) + sidebar width) = content size so Featured Image size = XXXpx
or select the full image size as Featured Image if the Content/Sidebar ratio is changed.
It’s not the best solution but at least a CSS reduction will provide a better result than an increase.
Switch Theme support and Theme panel menu in the admin bar
The “theme support” is more easily accessible than the “theme panel”, which means that the user will need more support than customize the theme ? :*) Too complicate to use ? lol
A Favicon who replace all WordPress favicon setting. Right now the “Theme Panel” favicon replace only the Front End favicon not the Admin one
Or Better provide 2 favicons entries Front End / Admin 🙂
Add a Header and Footer builder. This really missing in Newspaper, most of the premium theme have one now.
Enable tagDiv composer for Post or build also all new blocks for WPBakery, even the custom possibilities are less.
A post need some custom blocks as well, not only the pages.
Add a vertical slider to tagDiv “Add element” left bar.
I using a Wacom tablet and I do not have a mouse wheel so I can navigate into the “Add element” left bar, or at least enable the arrows.
(PS the search box is cool but useless when you have no idea of what you’re looking for.)
Rebuild the Ads section, the way of working is to old and not effective.
Take a look at Better Ads from BetterStudio who is include in Publisher.
It’s not perfect but far more advanced than what provide Newspaper.
Better Ads > Normal Ad/ AMP Ads, AdSense Ads, DoubleClick for Publishers, Image Ad, HTML Ad, Campaign manager, Ad Blockers Fallback
Default Ads by categories/ sub categories, all default Ads can be overridden in each post/page.
Woocommerce is totally forgotten. Win money with some Ads it’s cool but sell products or goodies it’s a good income way too.
Some Product and Category templates will be welcome.
Best Regards
Nexus
Hi,
Please check in Newspaper>them panel>Background in Mobile menu/search background -> https://www.screencast.com/t/WbOkKxaqgc remove the image and add a new one, or live it empty, save the settings and clear all cache and check to see if the error is still there.
Hope this will help you!
Thanks.
Hi,
You could use the mobile theme plugin, this will allow you to set a menu just for mobile
– http://prntscr.com/mgrrcc
More information about the mobile plugin here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks
Hello,
We utilize Newspaper with the mobile plugin on our site located at https://www.theapex.racing
On mobile devices, the header bar (with menu button, logo and search button) disappears when scrolling down but reappears when scrolling up.
I can’t find a theme panel option to change this behavior. Is there a way to stop the header from reappearing when scrolling up using custom CSS?
Thank you!
