I am using Newspaper theme with the Default Pro layout. In my Cloud Templates, I have a “Header Template – Default PRO” and a “Single Post Template – Default PRO”. Under Page templates, there is a “Homepage – Default PRO” but no single Page template in my Cloud Templates. In my Single Post Template, I added a row to the top of the page that will show ads below the navigation and above the post content. I would like to do the same to all my existing pages, but I do not have a pages template that I can edit. Right now, my pages look exactly like my posts, with the same layout, navigation, sidebar, and footer, however they do not contain the ad row that my posts have. How can I add this to all existing pages? Alternatively, is there a way to add a row to the “Header Template – Default PRO” under the logo and navigation part that collapses in mobile? I tried adding a new row to the bottom of the header template under the navigation, but when the navigation switches to mobile menu, the row disappears.

Hi Scott,
I understand. The issue is that the update from Nesaper 12.7.4 to 12.7.5 does not include any changes that should affect the website’s speed.
What I recommend is addressing the problem with the image that has been set as a background on the site but cannot be found: https://i.imgur.com/xWXB1KQ.png
It appears this image may be used as a background for the header menu—likely on the main header, sticky header, and possibly the mobile header as well.

Category Posts Not Showing on Mobile (TagDiv Newspaper Theme)

I am having an issue with my WordPress website using the TagDiv Newspaper theme.

I use categories in my menu, and when I publish articles, I assign them to the correct category. On desktop, everything works perfectly — the posts appear inside their categories as expected. visit into your mobile http://www.maslaxcabletv.com i want to solve all problem of my websites and check all settings i will share to trustly my Admin account send me massege in to this email maslaxcabletv@gmail.com

However, on mobile devices, when I open a category page, the posts do not appear. Instead, I only see an empty space and the footer (like the “About” section).

So:

Desktop → Works fine ✅
Mobile → Category page shows empty + footer ❌

I would like to know what is causing this issue and how to fix it.

As you can see, the mobile version isn’t displaying correctly. From the menu, when accessing the different sections, it looks like this:

https://opinandosinanestesia.es/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/2-scaled.jpg

https://opinandosinanestesia.es/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/4-scaled.jpg

How can I fix this so the pages display correctly? The same thing happens with the footer.

Thanks!

Hi,

1. If you have the demo installed, then the same single post template should be used, “Single Post Template – Free News”. Also, make sure that you are not using the tagDiv Mobile theme plugin.

2. Use tagDiv Composer, edit the homepage, select any element and after that from the left sidebar, you select the mobile viewport, then select the menu element – https://prnt.sc/dJV0CGbkkWbU, and you can edit the page ase as you would the menu. Or if you want, you can simply remove that element and add the menu element – https://prnt.sc/mYRxWJ3nI0Xt

Hi Marc,
I just checked the website, and this seems to be working ok for visitors. Also, I see that you are now using the LiteSpeed Cache plugin.
Now, related to the page speed results, this depends on factors like page dimensions, images, external resources, and cache…
UNfortubatley becouse the latespeed is not a tested pluginwe can not say for sure what option to enable and what option to disable to get a better performance, but let’s start with general pagespeed settings:
– convert images in webp format (there are cache plugins that can do this, but if the Litespeed is not doing this, the EWWW Image Optimizer can be used https://prnt.sc/DzMY6YynebbI). Make sure that only a lazyload option is enabled (the theme has an option https://prnt.sc/4pqTwHya8Awa and most likely other plugins that optimize the image to have the option)
– enable this theme option – https://prnt.sc/Ir7qNRhstgSAhttps://prnt.sc/k2M5pc8odE1D (AGGREGATE INLINE CSS option needs to be tested with teh cache plugin)
– disable the mobile header on desktop and desktop header on mobile (this can be done for the sticky headers, but make sure that the mobile cache option is enabled – https://prnt.sc/r3QB7-vZ4UzH https://prnt.sc/KBdRK8nc90UW
– on mobile simply disable the mobile sticky menu https://prnt.sc/IFe6OfBzige7 and select the regular menu and set it to be sticky, also make sure that you have set a background color for it – https://prnt.sc/I6G0kypEakOM
– use an object cache (Redis or Memcached)
– use a CDN like Cloudflare

I hope those first steps to help you to get a better speed.

Hi,
The mobile logo should be checked using the tagDiv Composer as mentioned above, the theme panel settings will apply only in case that no logo is set using tagDiv Composer, but the header you have in use has the logo set using the tagDiv Composer.

The menu problem is related to the amp plugin, if you’ll disable the mobile redirect to amp or remove teh amp plugin, the problem will be resolved – https://prnt.sc/NibvVYdgSGi3

Thank you!

Thank you for your email.

In the Newspaper menu (within the WordPress admin panel), under Theme Panel → Header → Mobile Header, the theme logo does not appear; however, it does show up in the mobile version.

Regarding the mobile menu issue, we are not referring to a mega menu. It is something simpler. I mean the home menu, where the pages are not visible in the mobile version.

Hi,
For the logo prolem use tagDiv Composer edit the homepage and scroll down and when the sticky is displayed, click on the logo and look for logo text tagline – https://prnt.sc/auUIF4PfYWlH do the same for the mobile logo – https://prnt.sc/pSP6HPUu8vDW
Second situation I think you are referring to the mega menuhttps://prnt.sc/yp6EBFt1c_JJ. This can be set in wordpress menu were you can set a category as mega menuhttps://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/

Hi,
Now if the sticky menu on mobile should look exactly like the regular menu, then you can simply disable the mobile sticky menu https://prnt.sc/IFe6OfBzige7 and select the regular menu and set it to be sticky, also make sure that you have set a background color for it – https://prnt.sc/I6G0kypEakOM
I hope this will help you!

Thank you! I had scoured the menus but never would have thought I needed to scroll down in order to see and delete it from the backend. So, I was able to find it and deleting the bookmark element worked, but now the menu doesn’t look right on mobile. The hamburger icon is slightly smaller and off the right side of the screen slightly instead of the menu just returning to its normal, pre-scroll appearance. Since sticky vs non-sticky doesn’t even appear to be an option in this section (I’m editing the header template under the cloud templates section), I’m not sure how to simply get the sticky mobile menu to look exactly like the regular mobile menu now. Ideas?

Hi,
This situation is usually related to the JS code that should be executed to display the mobile menu, so this should be added as an exception from teh cache.
I see that you have a standard header, so there is a smaller problem, because the code on the standard pack has a single JS file, which is not on the elements as the cloud templates. The file that should be excluded is tagdiv_theme.min.js also another file that can be excluded is the theme file for js tagdiv-theme.js and minify version tagdiv-theme.min.js

I’m having a problem with the mobile version because none of the pages are showing up, even though they’re linked in the menu and set to display on mobile. They look like this:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kAzDawH1nEsH7YneNGLvRSel-FO8v4ga/view?usp=drive_link

Well, I think I have turned off all instances of the bookmark feature, but I still can’t get the icon to stop showing up in the mobile menu? Any ideas how to fully disable the bookmark icon once and for all? https://levaire.com/bookmark-off.jpg vs https://levaire.com/bookmark-on.jpg .

Hello tagDiv Team,

I hope you are doing well.

I am writing regarding a long-standing issue I have been experiencing with the Newspaper theme. This problem has been happening for approximately 7 years. I always hoped that future updates would eventually fix it, but unfortunately, it still persists.

The issue occurs when I use Cloudflare with the “Cache Everything” rule enabled (caching full HTML). This configuration has significantly improved my website performance and loading speed, which is extremely important for my project.

However, the problem is specifically with the mobile menu.

Randomly, when visiting the site on mobile and tapping the menu icon (hamburger icon) to open the side menu, the menu becomes completely unresponsive and does not open. The icon appears, but tapping it does nothing.

This issue:

Only happens on mobile devices.

Happens randomly — sometimes the menu works perfectly, other times it becomes blocked.

When it fails, it stays blocked until cache is cleared or refreshed.

Seems related to Cloudflare caching full HTML content.

Because it is random, you may sometimes see it working and sometimes not.

Please test this URL on a mobile device:

https://www.bibliatodo.com/TestimoniosCristianos/de-indigente-a-predicador-testimonio-impactante/

I have also recorded a video demonstrating the issue and will provide the video URL below.

After many years trying to investigate and solve this on my own without success, I was even considering changing the theme. However, I realized I never formally contacted you about this issue.

So I am reaching out with the hope that you can guide me toward a proper solution or best practice configuration when using Cloudflare Cache Everything together with Newspaper theme.

Could you please advise:

Is there any known compatibility issue between Newspaper and full HTML caching?

Is there a recommended Cloudflare configuration for this theme?

Are there specific scripts, cookies, or paths that should be excluded from caching?

Is there a known fix for the mobile menu becoming unresponsive under aggressive caching?

I truly appreciate your support and guidance.

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards.

Hi Alex,
I see so in the end the problem is related to the Rocket option that remoe teh unused CSS. Without this option is possible that the pagespeed to get lower with a few points
You can contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and we’ll do our best to help you.
What I can recommend is to use those exclusions for Remove Unused CSS:
(.*)#td-mobile-nav(.*)
(.*).td-mobile-container(.*)
.td-mobile-close
.td-mobile-content(.*)
(.*).td-menu-background(.*)
(.*).td-search-background(.*)
(.*).td-search-wrap-mob(.*)
.td-search-close
.td-ajax-search-flex(.*)
(.*).td_module_flex_1(.*)
Another thing that can be used with that option is the plugin WP Rocket | Exclude Inline Styles from Remove Unused CSS plugin.
I hope this will help you!

So, I added the other two js. When I clear the cache for a minute, everything works fine, but then everything crashes and the menu is no longer clickable. I’ve never had this problem with either wp-rocket or Newspaper. What’s going on? This problem is causing significant damage to the magazine because the categories aren’t being seen by mobile visitors.

Hi,
I noticed that our mobile menu doesn’t work when pressed. Sometimes it opens, other times it blocks scrolling, and other times it works. If I clear the cache, it works for a while, then it freezes again. I tried removing and adding it again, but there aren’t many options to change.

Hi,
To create a custom mobile menu, first create a separate page that will serve as your mobile menu. Design this page exactly how you want it to appear on mobile devices.
Next, edit your header using tagDiv Composer. Switch to the mobile viewport, add a Popup element, and set the Page ID of your mobile menu page inside the Popup settings.
Once configured, use this popup as your mobile menu.

Hi,
So, if I understand, you manage to set the mobile page and mega menu, but the problem is on mobile, right? If so, you can create a page, name it mobile menu page, and set the element you want to have on it. After that, on the mobile version, replace the mobile menu with the pop-up element and set the mobile menu page to be displayed https://i.imgur.com/jySX17s.png https://i.imgur.com/kokBK4G.png https://forum.tagdiv.com/modal-popup/
