Hello!
You can add how many ads you can see if you access Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Mobile Theme -> Mobile ads: https://www.screencast.com/t/gsCMZSytz9
In the Article ads you can select after how many paragraphs the ad is displayed.
Hope that helps you!
Thank you!
Hi, how can I set the mobile version of a page automatically compared to the desktop version? Just deactivate the tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin?
Thank you
Hello!
The mobile theme requires the “265×198” and the “741×486” thumbnail sizes in order to show the featured images properly. Unfortunately, there is no setting to add new sizes.
This can be found in here: https://www.screencast.com/t/N18dR3qZrh
After activating the thumbnail sizes you need to regenerate your thumbnails using a plugin. Check this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/
Thank you!
Hello, I’ve added the code for an adsense square ad (responsive) to the inline ad setup. Ad position in content is middle, under advance usage it’s set to adsense size auto for all values.
However, neither on desktop or mobile, I’m actually getting displayed a square ad, but on mobile I see the 320×50 format, similar on desktop. Does the theme conflict with adsense’s space/size detection somehow? How can I solve this while keeping some flexibility for the ad size, so without setting a fixed size under adsense size for a device type?
Hello Vlad S,
Thanks for reply.
To avoid problems with my main page, let’s use my test page (it’s this one: https://cutt.ly/Nkq08Q5 )
I have deactivated all plugins, cleared the cache. I have also removed all custom CSS from the theme.
Right now only the theme and theme plugins are working. I use the same logo for the theme control panel and for the mobile plugin control panel.
In the first image you can see the responsive version of the homepage on a mobile. In the second image you can see an article loaded with tagdiv mobile plugin.
Can you see the difference? The logo is bigger, the menu is out of place, the top menu bar has no shadow…. All these are theme errors. Rather, they are tagdiv mobile plugin errors. Maybe you should check this problem a bit, because it is not very aesthetic.
Cheers, Jose

In Chrome Developer Tools: Open devtools, choose desktop or mobile version of the theme, disable cache on devtools, throttle the device to 2g (so you can see what is happening) scroll down to the bottom social media buttons, press strg+r or f5 and start the reload. Than you can see that there are no, really no! fitting thumbnails for images. The whole site is loaded without leaving space for the images, because there are no thumbnails deposited. The only thumbnail that I could find and that is used for post pictures on desktop is tdb_696x0. Here you have set a width. But that doesn’t help anything. You have to define the height to avoid CLS!!! The height is 464px. And 464 px have to be free for every inserted image!
In the mobile theme there is not a single thumbnail defined – not for the featured image and not for the other images in the posts, for example a thumb sized 330x220px.
I wright my articles with the Gutenberg Editor. It must be possible that pictures which are inserted by using the Gutenberg Editor get the right thumbnail sizes, so that there is no layout shift?
Here is a video that shows the Layout-Shifts clearly: https://imgur.com/a/c7WeyPf
It’s a mess!!! It’s a disaster!!!

Hi Guys
I have a separate ECom store (currently woo but will be moving to Shopify) and I want to create some product banners for my store and then have these appear within my blog posts as clickable banner ads. Essentially my blog users will see my ads within my blog posts.
I am using the mobile theme so I’d like to have them appear in the same advert slot as desktop (probably either 3-4 paragraphs down a post or at the end of a post).
Is there a way I can do this if I were to create a set of different banner ads for my store?
I am not bothered about using the ads slots to do this (if there is a better way) but I will not be using AdSense on my blog so I thought I might be able to use that functionality for my own ads?
Sorry if this is a stupid question. I’m keen to start promoting my own products across my blog posts.
Thanks
TS
Hello @Topfgartenwelt!
If you use Mobile Theme, there is no setting to adjust the sizes.
The only one solution is to create a custom css code for this.
Thank you!
Is there a way to add new thumbnail sizes to the mobile theme to decrease CLS? And also change the size for the featured image on mobile?
Can I do it with:add_image_size( 'name-der-groesse' ); under //theme config and how I get it work that the mobile theme uses the new images sizes? Now the big problem is that the mobile theme has no defined thumbnail sizes that are used in the posts written with Guttenberg.
For desktop I found the file: tdb_state_single and here is defined for normal posts: // set the default image size
if ( $atts['image_size'] == '' ) {
$atts['image_size'] = 'td_696x0';
}
But as I see this is defining the width but for avoiding the CLS the height must be defined. As I see in Browser the height is: 464. So can I change td_696x0 to td_0x464? If it’s a normal image? And how I can adapt it for images used in the mobile theme?
Greetings Kathrin
Hi,
Usually, this problem can be solved if you use the mobile theme plugin -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-get-mobile-ready-with-newsmag-theme/
Other kind of solutions can be done only with custom work in theme files.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
This is because you are using the mobile theme plugin and not the responsive version. When you use the mobile theme plugin then you need to set for page the content in mobile editor, but this content need to be made without builders. What you can do is to disable the plugin or use it only for amp version.
Also another option is to disable the mobile theme only the pages you want using this option -> https://i.imgur.com/fm0dl3j.png you can check more about mobile theme plugin in this article -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Hope this will help you!
Hello,
I use the tagdiv mobile plug-in.
I have added the same logo for mobile devices, in the theme control panel and in the tagdiv mobile plugin control panel.
This is the logo (the size is a little bit bigger than the recommended size, so that it looks clear. If I use the recommended size, it does not look sharp, it is blurred): https://cutt.ly/kj5Fyok

The logo looks perfect on mobile devices, on the home page, in categories, on the author’s page, etc…
But the logo looks too big on posts. Even the menu is bigger, the bar is higher, it looks very bad.
How can I solve this? I want the logo and the menu to look exactly the same in all parts of the site. With the small size (left image). My web page is this one: https://cutt.ly/Qj5FmtL

Thanks, Jose
Hi team,
My ad company (Mediavine) says I should use system fonts with my theme to make it fast for Web Core Vitals. When I turn off Google fonts in Newspaper theme, my speed shot up by at more than 10 points on both mobile and desktop. So, if I keep Google fonts turned off, which fonts should I use with the theme for the fastest performance?
Currently, my H1,H2 seems to be defaulting to Times New Roman but it looks terrible. I like Oswald but it slows down my site. Suggestions?
Hello !
From what I see at the moment on your desktop website, you are using only 1 header.
If you see more headers you will need to check your Cloud library and see how many headers are available in it. If there are more than 1 I recommend you to remove them.
For the mobile issue please make sure that you have cleared your cache. At the moment we cannot see mobile theme active anywhere on your website. Please let us know if it is active and send us a screenshot of your mobile theme settings.
Thank you !
I have real big problem with the CLS, if my site is reloaded when scrolled to the bottom of the page or I reload the page and an image is in the viewpoint I get really huge CLS. Everything turns red. This happens on mobile as on desktop. The problem is there are no correct defined placeholders for the images. The placeholder for the featured image is too big and is shrinking (to big placeholder in green: https://imgur.com/a/wAX7CQg ,finally loaded picture: https://imgur.com/a/mLJLqJt ) and the other placeholders for images in the post are to small and get bigger (to small placeholder in green: https://imgur.com/a/hnis9aH, finally loaded picture: https://imgur.com/a/ad0s0mN). So the browser hasn’t the right information and that is causing the CLS.
I’m writing my posts with Gutenberg and the Layout is composed with tagdiv-Composer. Concerning the information of my browser the featured image has the size 1200×800 px and the images in the post have the size 696×464 px, the correct thumbnails for the mobile theme are activated.
In the Desktop Layout only the placeholder for the featured image seems to have the right size, all other placeholders are too small.
What is the solution for that problem? I need a solution therefore urgently!!
Greetings Kathrin
Ok, but the problem is the Footer Logo in the mobile version of the theme which is inserted via Themepanel and here I can’t do any settings.
Greetings Kathrin
Hello!
1. If you select the row and hit the delete key from your keyboard, then it should work. Please note that an individual column you can not delete it.
2. This situation appear when you are using the mobile theme plugin and the cache that you have does not feature options for a separate mobile theme plugin therefore do not know when to deliver the mobile version and when to deliver the desktop version.
We tested with our theme the WP Super Cache and with the settings from our guide this is working correctly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Hope that helps you!
If you have a problem with your cache, then you need first to solve that problem.
Thank you!
Hi Everyone,
My mobile theme is not loading, I have being using the Newspper 10 from tagdiv, could you please let me know what can be done in-order to make it run.
Hello,
I have a problem with the tagDiv Mobile Theme.
Everything was working fine until tonight.
Now, the site doesn’t display correctly on mobile anymore (fonts, menus, articles, footer, header…)
Screenshot of the site : https://paste.pics/e8047f0f6e401e4f2401be2095986621
We got an error message on the server today:

Thanks for your help!
I recently bought Newspaper theme and while I like it there are 2 problems I am facing:-
1. I am not able to delete the empty columns which keep piling up. I saw similar posts on the forum but none of the solutions works for me. There is no right click or drag and drop option that appears. Neither is there a delete button when i click on the row.
2. My mobile theme shows on desktop and vice versa randomly. It lasts for few minutes and is a minor irritant but can be awkward for site visitors at times. I can’t do anything with cache as my site is on wordpress.com and they have their own caching mechanism.
Please help. I had mentioned the second problem within a similar topic yesterday but haven’t heard from anyone till now. My site is sabysworld.com.
Hello,
I am trying to make a website via your newspaper theme. I did not want to use your mobile theme and wanted to create with composer BUT: I could not change anything on homepage and especially sub pages. Do you have any instruction about how to design whole mobile site with your theme? Else I want to return your theme and change my theme with a optimizable and responsive theme. I think you have huge problems with design of mobile pages.
Hi,
I have seen this come up a few times but everytime I upload an image through mobile, the image is sideways. I have tried deactivating every plugin (including the core theme plugins).
I have tried the fix image rotation plugin but still no luck.
I hope someone can help. I upload via the “cooked pro” plugin as my site is recipe themed. (the upload was fine with other themes by the way)
Thanks
Mark
Hello!
If you created the mobile pages with TagDiv Composer, then when you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with it’s own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Better deactivate the plugin and see the results.
If this problem is still there, then you can look for a plugin conflict. Please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Let me know about your results!
Thank you!
Hello,
I have designed a custom mobile page with TagDiv. When I set it up to be the mobile version it stays on for several seconds. But like a minute after the homepage gets back to the normal mobile version of the theme (travel memories is the theme installed). Is there any way to keep the mobile version I created on forever? This is driving me crazy.
Thanks in advance.
Alvaro.
Hello!
Please make sure you have the right settings in Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Mobile Theme -> Header for logo and retina logo.
