Hello Catalin,
I don’t use the mobile theme and it would be great if there is a solution for the normal responsive theme, too.
On some of my posts, the social media share icons get cut off, on both PC and mobile.
I find it very strange. If there is only 2 icons, then it is fine. However, once I have 3 or more, every icon after the first two looks like it is cut in half.
I imagine it has something to do with the td_block shortcode I am inserting into the page, because it is after I do this that the problem appears.
It is after I insert this into my post that the social icon problem appears:
[vc_row][vc_column][td_block_7 category_id="88" m6f_meta_font_size="0" limit="12" m6f_title_font_size="18"][/vc_column][/vc_row]
For an example, see here:
http://www.zhongmeigames.com/2018/08/05/01/
Thanks for the great theme.
P.S. As a bonus question, I’m curious if there is a way to put the social share icons in the smart sidebar, as many popular websites tend to do. I have tried to find the right block in the widgets menu, but haven’t found anything quite like that yet.
Hello,
I’m curious to learn more about why the featured images in posts viewed under categorizes or on the home page have the images displayed off center; they are pushed downwards of the picture frame;
Here is an example: https://www.screencast.com/t/mTwxmDYz
Can that be fixed in the theme settings or is that how the theme is coded? Perhaps there is a Custom CSS fix to center the featured images to appears on desktop how they appear centered on mobile devices?
Thank you for your help!
Hello,
If I use Facebook links as featured videos, they play on desktop, but don’t play on mobile & amp themes. Youtube links work on all mobile, amp and desktop themes. Anyway to fix this and get Facebook links work on mobile & amp themes as well?
Regards,
ExRay
Hey Catalin,
I’m really sorry to hear that.
As it’s doable with the featured image, I thought it could be the same with the images in the post.
Do you know another way for me to achieve something similar?
It would be: lightbox on desktop and “static” image in mobile (i’d prefer lightbox on mobile but is impossible with the mobile theme)
Thanks in advance
Hi Bogdan, Thanks for the response! But the real problem is I want to prevent any opening but the lightbox.
I believe I maybe have explained wrong or too briefly.
My first choice for the images on my site is to open in lightbox, so I’ve enabled the modal image option.
As it’s impossible to implement the lightbox with the mobile theme, I prefer they don’t react at all to the point (click) in mobile.
Now, with the modal enabled, the images open as you said and I definitely don’t want that.
I hope you can help me.
Thanks
2. I see now, so the ad in that column is not displayed on mobile. I believe the problem is with the ad itself, please try in a test page to hide a simple column with an element the same way. Check if it displays on mobile.
Check the settings for the ad in the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/5EzkNbXPG70
Maybe you have disabled it for mobile.
Does the ad appear if you don’t hide the column, on mobile?
Hi,
So the product images are not displaying at all on mobile? I could take a look, please provide a link to a product on your your website.
I tested with some default Woocommerce products with and without the mobile theme plugin, the product image displays for me

Thanks
Hi!
I’ve used Newspaper 8.8.2 and Woocommerce 3.4.4 to create our online shop. Everything is okay on desktop but product images don’t show up on each product page as soon as one uses a mobile device (checked with iPad and iPhone). I’ve activated WC lightbox and slider:
add_theme_support( ‘wc-product-gallery-lightbox’ );
add_theme_support( ‘wc-product-gallery-slider’ );
I already tried deactivating all plugins, nothing helped. When using the storefront theme everything is okay.
Thanks for your help!
Hello Alicegreentree,
Please notice that our Mobile Theme has a different functionality than the normal mobile responsive mode. If you are using the Mobile Theme, all the sidebars will do not be displayed and all of the Ads should have to be added to the right place from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/uWjza9M1
Thanks for your understanding!
Jello,
Please use this guide to properly update your mobile theme plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-how-to-update-a-plugin/
if you still have trouble with the plugin updates, please contact us on our email address at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and wp-admin (login information and admin rights) so we can login and investigate. Please also include a link to this conversation so we can identify you.
Thank you!
I added the mobile plugin but it does not show the side panel at the bottom or the google ads that currently show in the posts on the desk top and on the regular mobile without plugin. I saw the settings, but it’s not clear what code to insert and where. I tried entering the same google code that I use in the side panel but it just kept spinning and didn’t update. Any suggestions? http://www.traveltipsandpics.com
Hi, I need to prevent the modal image from being clickable on the mobile version (using mobile theme plugin).
I’ve tried
.td-post-content .td-post-featured-image {
pointer-events: none;
}
but didnt work (did work for the featured but not for the images in the post content)
Appreciate your help.
Thanks
I downloaded the theme of “newspaper 9” and added a new “td-mobile-plugin.zip” which was in the same theme folder after updating the theme, but the following error is displayed It was.
The TagDiv Mobile Theme is not supported by the current activated theme. Please update your theme!
File message: /home/users/0/■■■/△△△/◯◯◯◯/wp-content/plugins/td-mobile-plugin/td-mobile-plugin.php

tagDiv Mobile Theme

What should I do?
Hi,
The mobile theme will be displayed on phone view ports only, tablets or bigger devices will not show it. That would be the intended functionality. If a tablet is smaller it may display the mobile theme however. This cannot be controlled, it depends on device used.
Thanks
Hi.
I use MOBILE THEME for my website and I’ve been told that the mobile version doesn’t appear always in tablets and ipads, but sometimes the desktop version comes up.
Can I do something to fix that?
Thank you,
Nick.
I took a look and the gallery didnt look for as it did on your first screenshot, on 3 different browsers (desktop).
Disabled the said Plugin (WP Spamshield) and tested, still the same result (nothing changed on desktop, nothing working on mobile).
I deinstalled and deleted the whole Newspaper theme, child-theme and all plugins – downladed the newest version (9.0) from Themeforest.
I then tried the “Safe Option for jQuery” on my caching-plugin (WP-Rocket).
That got the gallery back working on mobile, but im still having the following problem:

This appears to only happen on smaller resolutions tho – as you can see on a higher one (notice the resolution above) it seems to work:

Hi,
No need for modifications in the code. The tweet button was removed a while back from the theme, but the Facebook like button is still available.
If enabled in the theme panel it will appear in the mobile theme post page as well

Thanks
Simple question: Where can you change the picture for the mobile header menu? This menu does not appear on PC version. I want to delete the default demo picture.
I have been looking for a long time through all the menus and cannot find it for the life of me.
Thanks
Edit: Sorry, I found myself.
Newspaper >> Theme Panel >> Background >> Mobile menu/search background
I also need the mobile theme to have a facebook like button. Please advise as I am a developer to some degree and can implement code you provide.
Thank you.
Hello, i am currently following this tutorial: How to make the site faster.
at point 5.2 ” To get the list of registered css and js
Please add the following code at the end of the functions.php file ”
Which functions.php would this be exactly? I found many. If it is the one from the Newspaper theme, should i use the mobile and normail functions files both ?
Thanks
Wilfred
Hello,
Photon is known to cause issues with our theme so do not use it. Jetpack also has a mobile theme that will not work with our theme as well so please do not use that as well.
Thank you!
Thanks Simon.
1. What i am trying to do is: Simply when a user clicks a certain ” category” on my site i want all posts inside that category to show. So not only the ones that are set to ” primary ” in that particular category.
2. Thanks Simion! I will soon definitely check out those cloud templates. However i experience extremely slow loading problems on mobile since using this theme, whichis kinda worrisome. So i want to install the mobile version, but can’t find it?
Thanks,
Wilfred
Hi,
I would like to install the mobile theme, but it can’t be found in my folder.
It is not here: https://www.screencast.com/t/gVBPn2DLycMV
Were can i find it ?
Thanks
Wilfred
Hi,
1. If you are referring to modules (which form blocks and grids) these will display only one category tag. This is block 1 for example
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
The category tag that will represent the post is the primary category of the post. If one is not set manually, the theme will pick the first one alphabetically. If there is only one category, that will be primary.
Here you can find out more about the primary category, how can it be set manually and what elements are affected by it
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/
If this is not what you wanted to know, please correct me.
2. The font size for the post titles on mobile is predefined, I believe to 32px. if you change the size in the theme panel it will apply on desktop, but on mobile the same 32px will be used. With the optional mobile theme plugin it will be 30px.
That is the case for the predefined post templates. It can be changed with some CSS if needed. I can provide it to you. Mention how you would like it to be.
However if you use a cloud post template, the post template can be designed with the tagDiv composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
You will be able to set one size for desktop, and one for mobile
– https://www.screencast.com/t/u3R6zvkq8b
The new cloud templates will allow many possibilities, which the predefined post template don’t have.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
