I have watched multiple videos and read multiple articles in the past two months. They don’t seem to be helping. I joined this forum yesterday to see if someone can let me know what I’m doing wrong.
When I build a page using Tagdiv composer, customising a downloaded template, why does it say “MOBILE PAGE” at the top, when I want it to be a default, global page for something else (homepage, masthead, author, etc.)? Even when I customise something from the Cloud, it still says Mobile Page. Why? What does “Mobile Page” mean in this context?
All previous PAGES from previous themes (I have a few with content), are you saying Newspaper cannot recognise them and they have to be rebuilt?
Can someone please post a CLEAR GUIDE on HOW TO BUILD AND PUBLISH PAGES FROM SCRATCH? Don’t send me a link to those videos you have on YouTube. They’re confusing and incomplete with the steps. Just bullet points. Write like I’m an idiot (I may be, sorry).
I know I’m just missing something, and once I get it, everything will fall into place. Thanks.
Hi Annamaria.. Sorry I don’t understand what you mean.. Under Category Cloud Templates, I have
Category templates
Cloud Templates
Global
Mobile Template
Category Template 14 – mobile
–
Category Template – News Hub PRO
–
Category Template – BlockChain PRO
–
Category Template – Default PRO
Global
–
Which template should I edit and WHAT should I edit..
Also, please see below links
About Page (https://www.shippingandfreightresource.com/shipping-and-freight-resource/) as it is seen on Desktop
Same page as it is shown on Mobile.. It is not responsive meaning the image is not fitting within the frame..
There is something definitely wrong with the mobile theme settings maybe.. FYI, I didn’t change any settings for the mobile theme.. I am using the TagDiv default..
Pls help.. Thanks..
Hi Team, following your publication from year 2022, the your Newspaper product supports RTL, I decided to move from my old “Publisher template to Newspaper template
So I purchased the template in themeforest and went to the setup work.
I installer the “Default RTL PRO” template
I am trying to setup RTL site but all the default is LTR
Many elemnt just do not respond to RTL, like widget headers
Also, the responsive mechanism do not work RTL, so widget placed on the left wing will mover over those on the right when switching to mobile view.
by Default, all text element are aligned LTR.
So my question:
Is there a wat to define that the template is RTL by default?
Frustrating…

My DEV site is https://dev2.haipo.co.il/
Using our theme, you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/ The option that you need to use.
Suppose you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer. In that case, when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc, so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY.
So, the mobile responsive is what you see when that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
The Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin cannot.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.

It’s true that you shouldn’t over-optimize, but your mobile site could be a little faster.
You’re using the mobile theme plugin, right? If so, the answer is simple: turn it off. Newspaper is responsive and the mobile theme is frankly unnecessary as it’s very slow without proper caching. You don’t have to do much either: switch it off, adjust the mobile view a little in Composer and that’s it. Your website will then be much faster on mobile. Oh, and one more tip: throw away the default package if you don’t really need it (usually you don’t), because it also makes the website slower.
Dear Waleed9, Why are you so much confused? Just relax and access Cloud Templates option from your admin pennal. On this page you can create different mobile templates for all website pages and for any modifications you have to update both Desktop and mobile template.
It’s very easy to do and it increase website speed/performance too. I am also using the same. Even I stop using amp after getting this feature with newspaper theme.
I managed now to reinstall the theme and now I fixed several problems, now I have really big problem for that I can not find a solution, the site does not work in different browsers and I can see the site only on Mobile phones and when I workin Worpress, otherwise it does not work external and I tried different solutions from Cache clearing to VPN using and I contacted my host company but they saidit has to do with the site, just to notice here that when I force https the site cause trouble in different browsers and when I switch it off, it give the notice that site does not send data or errors.
Hello,
I noticed that you had the mobile theme plugin activated, so it probably looked something like this -> https://i.imgur.com/xEXlis9.png . It’s a simple version. If you want to use mobile pages and templates, then you shouldn’t have the mobile theme plugin activated as it is now. Also, if the mobile version of the page was responsive, it means that the cache plugin doesn’t have an option for mobile. I searched for it but couldn’t find it. It would help if you could provide screenshots related to this issue.
Regarding the problem you mentioned about the homepage and categories page, could you please elaborate on the issue “When I created the homepage, the categories page didn’t appear on the mobile phone. So, I created the categories page, and then the homepage no longer appeared correctly.” Could you clarify the problem?
As for the mobile menu, it’s recommended to use the Mobile horizontal menu instead of the Header main menu, which is intended for desktops and tablets.
Thank you!
Hello,
1- How to reduce the space of content and images on the post page
I couldn’t find any options see here https://prnt.sc/8agXDEgd23bQ
2- How to add scrolling, for example in this section, horizontal scrolling see here https://prnt.sc/20MrA1Ta6kue
I mean the sliding scroll with the finger
I saw a wonderful model of horizontal scrolling in another theme, and it is very light and smooth on mobile. I hope it is here as well.
Because I know themes in scrolling are heavy and annoying
I hope this isn’t here either
The great marketing you did on mobile, I hope it is real on the ground
Scrolling may stop in a space between two images to give a hint to the user to scroll
That is, part of the next image appears when the user scrolls
Thanks Alot
Hello,
1. There are two different elements. If you want a subscription when login into the website to be redirected to the page of my account, then you need to use the menu login element and disable the header login for the mobile menu. You can to disable the Sign in/join from Theme Panel -> Header -> https://i.imgur.com/YwttygP.png
2. You can create a custom modal popup for mobile where you can set the elements you want there https://forum.tagdiv.com/modal-popup/
Thank you!
Hi @Calin,
1. Thank you for spotting that file. I will check, maybe I’ll figure something as well. Otherwise I will wait for your/developer’s solution.
2. From now on, every new issue with the theme that I find, I will be staring in a new thread “Only for Calin”. So they shouldn’t respond.
Otherwise, it is a waste of my time, repeating the same thing to those who don’t seem to care and just try to get rid of “another annoying customer”. It is a very common thing in many businesses these days, unfortunately.
I obviously don’t get paid by tagDiv despite evidently helping this company testing and getting its product better.
– Or, we can communicate by email.
3. Additionally, I think there is another issue with lazy video on mobile. Any YouTube video url has the same alt, which reads “Video The Dark Knight Rises: What Went Wrong? – Wisecrack Edition”. Here is a screenshot of html. It is hardcoded in this file: td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/td_video_support.php
Thank you.

Hi,
Page speed optimization results are influenced by a large number of factors like your server performance, the number of external scripts loading on the website (ads, fonts, tracking codes, external resources, plugins), the size of the images, the number of elements on a specific page, caching solution, and many, many more.
As you can notice in this report, you have a lot of the scripts for ads -> https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-newspatron-com/5m3vmvj9v8?form_factor=mobile -> https://i.imgur.com/oTMzAC1.png
Now, also, you have a good score for mobile https://i.imgur.com/Rs31PSB.png

Hello @waleed9!
1. You can activate or delete the AMP plugin. At the moment, you see the AMP plugin is not activated; that’s why you can’t see it on the left side with its settings. From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit to AMP. Unfortunately, AMP is not working with the cloud templates because the AMP’s layout is not fully customized.
The AMP version works best with default templates and not cloud templates. That’s why we integrated it with the Mobile theme plugin.
The feedback from our clients about AMP was negative and it is not used anymore, that’s why we didn’t add more customization options.
2. If there are cloud templates, then please check the settings of that ad in the tagdiv Composer. You can see there if this is an image or a code.
Thank you!
Hello,
For mobile theme + Amp the content need to be added in Mobile Editor -> https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH
Please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-pages-not-working-well-with-this-theme/ and choose what mobile version you want.
Thank you!
I have had the same Newspaper installation for eight years, every problem mentioned in this post worked fine when I last checked about three mounts ago. I have not done any configurations or changes since that, nor installed any new plugins. Only updated WP, theme and existing plugins.
– From what I know I don´t use Header live search element, if I do I have been doing so for years and the problem whith the search occurd only recently. What I am refering to is the usual magnifying icon on the same row as the menu on desktop, where nothing happens when I click on it.
– The Show Mobile Menu is enabled, and have been so for years. The hamburger is visible on mobile, but nothing happens when it is clicked.
– When I write Interactive World Maps, I mean the plugin named so https://codecanyon.net/item/interactive-world-maps/2874264. Sorry If I was unclear, since it is within the same family I thought it would be understood. Not Google Maps. The maps have worked for me for years, but dont show anymore.
Since I have not changed anything myself, I asumed it one of the plugins causing it all, but as I wrote in my original post I have tried to inactivate them one by one without any luck.
Hi there.. This is my issue..
1) When the “mobile theme” plugin is not active, below is how the mobile page shows vs how the desktop page shows..
How page is showing in Mobile when mobile plugin is NOT active
How page is showing on Desktop when mobile theme is NOT activated
2) When the Mobile theme is active, this is how the same page (https://www.shippingandfreightresource.com/shipping-and-freight-resource/) displays..
About page when Mobile theme is activated
3) This is how the menu shows up when Mobile theme is active
4) This is how an article displays when the Mobile theme is active
Now I read Annamaria’s comment about delayed CSS loading, but even after refreshing the page many times, this is how it shows.. Could you pls advise where the issue is..
Hi i.zune13, this situation is because you are using the mobile theme plugin and this removes the content from pages because this is usually made with shotcodes from builders. Now the most simple solution if you want to have the responsive version on mobile is to disable the tagDiv mobile theme plugin, but in case that you want to use it only for posts and you do not have many pages, then you can manually disable the option from each page in part – https://i.imgur.com/TC9kXdy.png (this option is only for the Gutenberg editor) or if you want to keep it on pages then you’ll need to use the mobile editor from the bottom of pages to add content using only the options provided by this – https://forum.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/mobile-theme.png
I hope this will help you!
Hello @waleed9!
1. Try to change the height of the row or adjust the image from the tagdiv Composer settings in order to adjust the image there.
You can set a background color on every row, or from the theme panel -> theme colors -> General theme colors.
We have some settings for the rows and different stretch sizes: https://www.screencast.com/t/bsbB5P97A
Check the option to stretch rows with content.
2. You can achieve that with this element: https://app.screencast.com/mWiJREdMYsoMB
Read all about it here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/video-playlist-2/
3. Click on that row and change the background color from the CSS tab of the element in the mobile viewport.
4. The logo from your mobile viewport is a different element, and you can change the size from the element settings in the tagdiv Composer. Adjust it in order to look great there. I can see that is a text logo, so you can change the font size from here: https://app.screencast.com/sdHMuX0NAP4fK
Thank you!
Hello,
1. For About Us or Follow Us, you translate them from Theme Panel -> Translations-> Translations, or you can set a space, and then it will not be displayed.
Please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-pages-not-working-well-with-this-theme/ and choose what mobile version you want.
2. Unfortunately, you can’t set the sticky menu to always sticky.
Thank you!

I have a newspaper theme, have been using for a few years for my website with no issue until sometime in January. Initially the main site was down for a day or so. While the display on the desktop has no issue now, a malware is acting on a mobile device. Anytime anyone visits the website from any mobile device, the redirect hacking malware becomes active. I checked this issue with my hosting company and I even hired a professional to work on. Both are pointing out it’s related to td composer. My jetpack scan results also indicates td composer as a threat. In fact, once I deactivate td composer plugin, the issue is resolved (no more redirect on mobile) but the landing page gets broken of course. My hosting company suggested that I should consult with the the theme developer. I don’t know what to do. Would you please help me? https://eyeonsligocreek.com/
