Hi Simion,

I followed everything in instruction but the new plugin with amp does not work right.

In this way, like many other users, I detect problems with the test amp https://search.google.com/test/amp

The only way to get the amp pages is to exclude SHOW ON AMP in the mobile theme settings getting a horrible amp page without style css. But currently this is the only possible choice to not have problem with google webmaster with amp articles.

Please solve with an update, thanks.

I also face serious problems.

  • AMP Auto ads des not work for me.
  • Adsense on AMP posts are too small and look bad (not like Adsense on mobile theme which are sitewide/beautiful).
  • Auto Adsense on mobile theme (placed ad code in mobile-theme-header.php) does not work anymore.
  • So I delete official AMP plugin and also disabled it in theme panel.

    This new move is extremely bad and its useless. It creates more problems than benefiting users.

    I miss using TagDiv AMP plugin, it was very good.

    The new system is very nice, but some features don’t work on mobile pages, for example: WP Viral Quiz

    How can we fix this?

    Hi,

    So you using just the AMP plugin and not the mobile theme plugin. You want to add a Yandex.Metrika analytics code in AMP. I found a guide in the matter
    https://yandex.com/support/metrica/code/install-counter-amp.html
    Seems it requires that a script be added in the head section of the plugin, and then the actual code after the body tag. Maybe follow these instructions as mentioned, should work as they say.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Please make sure that you do not have any plugin conflicts, please deactivate all non theme plugins, clear all cache and try again.

    Hi,

    @Bintmusic
    To test if AMP works and is valid please use the AMP validation tool
    https://search.google.com/test/amp
    In this tool enter the URL with /amp. Or test with this tool
    https://validator.ampproject.org/

    @jorgeocampo
    We understand that the mobile plugin is somewhat limited. Now that this integration between the official AMP plugin and the mobile theme has been made, we will add more settings and options for it in the future.
    As a note, we do not force users to use AMP + mobile theme, there are other ways to have AMP on the website, by using different plugins for example.

    @mazougagh
    It is the same when using a default WordPress theme and the AMP plugin, so this works as it is intended to – http://prntscr.com/mwrqox

    Hi,
    by editing the code to “$theme_options = get_option( ‘td_011’ );” all AMP error warnings are removed, so is this a temporary fix or this fix will come inbuilt in new version of newspaper (so that we’ll not need to do anything else later for this) ?

    Regarding Adsense ads I was talking about Adsense overlay anchor ads (which remains stuck at mobile screen). Just check the screenshot: Adsense Overlay Anchor Ads . I’ve already inserted AMP auto ads, but AMP auto ads doesn’t show overlay ads i guess (as it can’t be set from adsense account settings) . .
    So, my question on this is if someone opens the site in mobile, then the normal url (https://www.mytechnopedia.com)open which doesn’t show overlay ads due to AMP is active there native, can’t I set the mobile view & AMP view via different URL ? Means if a visitor opens site via mobile he’ll open https://www.mytechnopedia.com by default which shows overlay ads (NO AMP), but if he with/comes via google search he can see AMP view at https://www.mytechnopedia.com/amp/, means DIFFERENT URL FOR MOBILE & AMP VIEW , so this way adsense results can be better i guess 🙂 .
    Thank you .

    Hi,

    That is because the official AMP plugin doesn’t have many settings. If you do not use the mobile theme you can still display ads in AMP, there are a few links about it in this topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-plugin-9/

    Thanks

    Hi,

    That will not be possible unfortunately, the mobile theme plugin when activated will apply to the whole website. Maybe with a plugin that can deactivate other plugins on specific pages, I can’t say if that will work or not. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    If you have activate the show on amp on the mobile theme in this tester you still need to set the /amp in url -> https://search.google.com/test/amp?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bintmusic.it%2Ffestival-fotografia-italia-corsi-concorsi%2Famp but in this one should work in both ways ( with /amp and without /amp ) https://validator.ampproject.org/#url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bintmusic.it%2Ffestival-fotografia-italia-corsi-concorsi%2Famp

    Thank you for your understanding!

    Hi,

    I have checked your website and I saw that your AMP is valid but please notice that you have 9.5 version of the theme. Here is talking about an old AMP plugin. If you want to have the new one, you need to update the theme to the latest version of it which is Newspaper 9.6, install the Mobile Theme and AMP plugin, set up according to our above documentation, clear all the caches and check the results.

    Thanks for your understanding!

    Hi,

    Maybe that implementation does not work with the mobile theme. How exactly are you implementing and displaying the maps? Does it require any code to be entered in the theme files? The mobile theme uses it’s own files – http://prntscr.com/mwpfsi

    Thanks

    1. No. It’s not a cache issue. Because the single post pages working fine. You need to check my site properly. Search for the site and then go to URL from search results. You’ll understand. It’s definitely not a caching issue.
    2. How can I set font style in mobile theme?
    3. I don’t want the hover effect. I want fixed colored underline in link text [already using the code for the site but not working only in mobile theme]
    Need the following code compatible for the mobile theme without hover:-
    .td-post-content a { border-bottom:2px solid #FF4422; }
    .entry-content a:hover{
    text-decoration: none;}
    .td-post-content a {color: #1b2d42;}
    .td-post-content a:hover{
    text-decoration:none;
    }

    Hi,

    What exactly is that code supposed to do? Also how is it supposed to be implemented and where it is supposed to appear?

    If it’s an ad code, try and enter it in the mobile ads section – http://prntscr.com/mwp4l0

    Thanks

    7. Enter it in the Theme panel->Advanced CSS in the phones section.

    However I did some more research in the matter, seems from what I can find, that Google will not allow adsense ads of 300×250 above the fold on mobile
    https://techcrunch.com/2017/05/02/google-will-now-allow-300×250-ads-above-the-fold-on-mobile-webpages-says-they-can-be-user-friendly/
    They recommend an ad of 320×100 above the fold and a 300×250 below the fold
    https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/6357180?_ga=2.119271945.145156433.1552380136-311823375.1552050001

    Maybe this is why when selecting a 300×250 size does not work. It would explain it. try and use their recommended size and check if the ad appears properly then. Let me know.

    Hi,

    1. This is usually a cache problem, please make sure that you clear all cache.

    2. Unfortunately on mobile you can not make hover like on desktops, so you can not have the hover on link to get the underline.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

    @Christian
    Asmat Vidarte One h1 is the desktop logo – http://prntscr.com/mwof2b
    One is the desktop logo in sticky mode – http://prntscr.com/mwofo1

    The other two are the mobile logo and the mobile logo when sticky
    http://prntscr.com/mwog55http://prntscr.com/mwogeq

    This would explain why there are 4 h1 tags, the logos are always loaded, the ones for desktop and the ones for mobile. They are loaded and will appear in the appropriate situations.
