Hi,
Are you sure speedbooster is not active as your page source says otherwise: http://screencast.com/t/dX0KjZhDp62O
That only appears if speedbooster is active.
We also recommend using a cache plugin (wp super cache) and optimize your website to reduce this delay time you see. https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Ftomatoheart.com%2F&tab=desktop
Aslso use gtmetrix as it’s a good alternative to google. Having multiple testing tools always helps.
This delay is present ion any site as css works by rewriting its rules over the previous and it will re-write every time the css gets changed. if your internet connection is slow or the page speed is not optimized fully, you can sometimes see this rewriting happen.
The only way to remove the delay altogether is to change the font directly in style.css by editing the code for the post title font: http://screencast.com/t/fgEWZiXyZB9
I hope this helps
Thank you!
Hello all,
Just wanted to know if we can get a website optimized so that we can reduce the page load time. Need someone to look after the work and bring desired results. thanks you! 🙂
Hello, I’m using Newspaper V 7.1.1 theme, have 2 problems with optimizing speed. First one is when I enable JS optimize all images doesn’t load. I read that is problem probably because theme use some JS to load images but don’t know what that JS is so I can exclude from minify …. Second one is whatever I do I can make browser cash to work but I did that already on 10 other websites… even if I just add code or use w3 plugin etc…
Please help and tnx upfront
Hello!
PageSpeed gives me the some “ToDo’s”:
– Optimize CSS Delivery. This is regarding Newspaper. I don’t know how to do it (/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/style.css?ver=7.3)
– Minify CSS. This is regarding Newspaper. I don’t know how to do ir (/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/style.css?ver=7.3)
Should I do anything?
Thanks!
You can use Autoptimize plugin
under Autoptimize settings
HTML Options
Optimize HTML Code? chech (enable) this option
Sounds good, but I don’t have the courage to be beta tester on real enviroment 🙂
In this project I use only the theme & 3 plugins (speed-booster, VC and Yoast premium) on VPS server 4G DDR4, 3×3.5Ghz Xeon E5, and I have to admit that I’m very surprised for the speed: 0,4 sec. and 98-99 pts. in Google PageSpeed Insights for both devices and for all pages (of course, optimized images 🙂 ).
Sincerely, as I am right now, I’m super super satisfied with the performance (in none of my other sites I have this score). Over the years I’ve learned something, when something works well, don’t change!
By the way @neotrope, all the best for your work, contributions and selfless help in this forum!
My respect
Hi
I’ve checked your site and noticed that you have a very strong cache which may affect page’s content. The cache may come from from your server so try to contact you host provider and ask him if there is an cache on the server. The cache it’s very tricky, even if you deactivated the cache plugin some pages may still be delivered from cache. Try to enable WP Super Cache again and delete the cache a few times then test the site again. Note that WP Super cache is not fully compatible with V 4.6 of wordpress but you can use the fix from this topic as a temporary solution: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-does-not-work-properly/
There is a big difference between mobile theme and the responsive theme. Basically the mobile theme load a simpler version of the page, fewer resources are requested and the page load faster. There is no support for shortcodes in mobile theme and when the server prepare the html it’s skipped a lot of php code from Visual Composer, the queries made to the database are fewer and the response time is smaller. Also page size is smaller on mobile when mobile theme plugin is active.
However the difference may be negligible if the site is not properly optimized. Our theme was developed to be fast but to hit a good score may be needed additional customization.
Check this topic for more details in page speed regard: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/website-memory-problem/ The thread is from Newsmag theme but the same applies for Newspaper.
For more details about mobile theme and how it work check this link: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ Basically the mobile theme works like this:
– on homepage displays three posts from featured category fallowed by latest article list.
– on other pages displays only the content from mobile editor.
When mobile theme is deactivated you will have the same content displayed on any device, there is no need and additional setup for the page.
I hope this helps.
Thanks!
Andrei L tagDiv!
FYI
benefit of WP super Cache is that its built/managed by same team who build WordPress, so it’s generally the “most compatible” and works best with themes plugins optimized for latest version of WP and normal use-cases of WP installs and WP 4.6x compatible plugins.
Various other caching plugins work, too, but you need to experiment as to which settings (avoid minification settings and similar!) work for your particular server setup, plugins, hosting account, storage space, etc.
So you don’t have to use WP Super Cache — it’s your website — but you should consider using similar settings in your cache plugin as those recommended for WPSC.
My site is too slow ! Here is the page speed test report

All Images are Optimized. ( Now I have optimized 2 Images displayed for optimization )
Suggest me 1 good plugin to minify the template codes.
HI
Thanks @Chris for you help!
@beautywarrior I assume that now you’re using an older version of Visual Composer. In the paste some of plugin’s versions had some issues with high CPU usage but now the plugin was optimized and it works better.
As @Chris pointed would be best to update the theme at V 3.1 which is available on theme forest and also update Visual Composer plugin at V 4.12. Please check our documentation for more details in this regard: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/
Also make sure that the parameters from system status have the values specified in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ and your server meets theme’s requirements: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
Thanks!
Hi,
Found it Chris (and Bogdan)! This plugin removed 395,254 images/thumbs from my server in around 2 hours (-80% /uploads disc space). It just left untouched the 3 media manager related sizes and the original image. I tested it on wp 4.6, flawless. According to the author new thumbs will be created and stored only when that specific size is called by a block or else. I surfed my site after running it and all necessary thumbs were there, so. You felt my pain, now feel my Joy 😀

Alright thank you. Google has said theres a couple isues, before my template change my page rank speed was high now google labels it red. Here What They Said:
Leverage browser caching
Setting an expiry date or a maximum age in the HTTP headers for static resources instructs the browser to load previously downloaded resources from local disk rather than over the network.
Leverage browser caching for the following cacheable resources:

Usually a caching problem. Clear your caching/CDN setup.
You can also try’
a) resave permalinks
b) resave your home page template in > pages > page name (just resave it)
c) use wp-optimize to clear transients fully
That seems to work for me when something ‘sticks’ after a WordPress update.
hey thanks for answering… please read bellow:
1) Solved, thanks!
2) Yeaps, that was it. Solved. Thanks again!
3) Err.. no… as I said I tried it with all plugins disabled. Same problem. I didn’t have Photon but a different image optimizer plugin, but I had it for some time now and just today – perhaps by coincidence after importing the News Magazine template settings – I noticed the problem. Anyway, I tried with all plugins deactivated and still happens this max-width problem. Any further ideas?
Hello,
1) You can disable the logo on the sticky menu from the header settings in the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/3eaZqAAjTKMQ
2) Assuming you are referring to the category tags, You can nuse css to change the color of the tag:
.td-post-category{
background-color:red;
}
3) I have checkled your images and it seems you are using an image optimiation tool Most likely it;s the photon feature of jetpack .that will re-size the iomages in order to “optimize” them. Please remove any at all image optimization tools.
Thank you!
Thanks Ing.
If server is optimized already and I have nice cache, and site is running fine with another template, and then I change to this template, does server need to be optimized specifically for this template?
I have a server whit 2cpu xeon, ssd, and 8gb of ram and i can handle 10millon unique users per month 😛 So yes, newpspaper cand do it. Just need to optimize your server and user a nice cache system.
You need to specify each category in the editor for each ‘block/module’ on your home page in the visual editor on the ‘page’ you have created.
To tune your site, you need to do a number of things
a) increase default memory for WordPress in your wp-config file
b) make sure your hosting setup is optimized (gzip/deflate on?)
c) put proper directives in your htaccess file (for Apache; sligtly diff. for Nginx)
d) optimize images
e) tune your site with ads off
f) consider using caching AFTER you have everything else sorted
You can test your site speed and recommended fixes at gtmetrix.com for free.
Also see the theme docs on ‘speeding up your site …”
Thanks a lot Chris.. I would optimize the site now and try to correct the errors.. Appreciated
a) note the tagdiv business hours, top right of forum.
b) Might just be your home page layout,
this page shows as mobile friendly
http://top10reviewz.in/prize-money-gifts-p-v-sindhu/
However you need to pay attention to the errors presented:
* This page uses 2 resources which are blocked by robots.txt.
* A temporary error occurred. 2 resources on this page could not be loaded. The results and screenshot may be incorrect. You may want to try again later.
https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/…mMhp4i.css
https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/…dQgHfSn.js
c) generally to make your site ‘mobile friendly’ you need to ALSO optimized your server for speed and proper server setup, compression, time to live, etc., optimize images, etc.
For example, I tested your page here:
https://gtmetrix.com/reports/top10reviewz.in/2UlrZtmY
Page Load Time
15.9s
Total Page Size
4.05MB
Requests
212
————-
For optimum page, you should serve less than 50 requests, page size should be under 1MB, 2MB for a photo site perhaps with a lot of uncompressed images, and page load should be as close to 1 second as possible, and not more than 4 seconds.
You have a lot of work to do to optimize your website.
Good luck!
Hello,
I have checked your site and you have loads of errors in your browser console: http://screencast.com/t/qwpLVBSdXF These are most of the times caused by conflicting plugins. This is most likely the cause your site is so “heavy” on the load. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test your site again. Also please try to use as less plugins as possible as they are most of the times poorly optimized.
Here is a list of tested and recommended plugins to use with our theme: http://screencast.com/t/YbmrBRFUY
Thank you!
For those curious about baseline speed with GTmetrix for test bed:
No additional compression of css or js done (minification);
No caching plugin running;
Mod_pagespeed is OFF;
Page has no ad, but large image, sidebar, bottom bar images; large logo.
Default Newsmag theme (not using a “style/demo”).
Share buttons ‘on’ at top of page.
Pagespeed Score: A (96%)
YSLOW Score A (94%)
Page load time: 1.2s
Total Page size: 248kb
requests: 12
Nice.
Still to do:
figure out how to fix the wonky ? query on the newsmag icon font …
/images/icons/newsmag.woff?11
a) compress style.css
b) replace gravatar with local author image
c) main css to footer; preload critical CSS in head (fixes ‘render blocking …’)
d) enable mod_pagespeed – does on the fly comment removal, image optiization for small png to base64 or webp, removes all double spaces in text for pseudo-minification; further optimizes anything loaded from google like jquery
=========
that’s it for now.
Hope this isn’t annoying folks too much 😉
————
Radu and co have really done a great job on this and theme is speedy on desktop testing ‘as advertised …” which is awesome. I was worried going from v2 to v3 was going to bring bloaty-mcbloatface, and turns out – not so much 🙂

Basic WordPress documentation is helpful here:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Login_Trouble
For me, I usually try
(presuming you have proper dbase back made prior to wordpress upgrade — like it tells you to do)
a) clearing all cache in browser
b) try login; if fail then via FTP or server file manager …
c) rename plugins folder to xplugins
d) see if I can login
e) if not, delete all themes in theme folder except twenty sixteen
f) login — WP reverts to using default theme with no plugins.
g) once logged in, change theme to twenty-sixteen in appearance to clear prior theme selection
h) log out, rename plugins folder back
i) log back in — resave permalinks
j) clear all caching if used
h) consider using wp-optimize on database
Good luck!
