Hi. Regarding the videos. It takes two tries for the theme to pick up the images. I have to first publish then update once before the theme scrapes the image. No biggie, just a heads up for the next update..
About the other thing. I was trying to get the two featured articles to align with the edge of the page, but it doesnt seem to work even though i´m using Big Grid Full 2. https://teknikgalen.se has the correct front page now.

Hi,
The initial AMP plugin we released was designed based on the first version of the official AMP plugin for WordPress. Even though it was a tagDiv plugin, it still required the API of the official plugin. The changes came from the official plugin as they limited the theme support in the version we used and instead of updating it, they launched a new version with another, better implementation. They also announced the initial release will shortly become deprecated. This is why we decided to abandon our initial AMP plugin and use the new AMP implementation through the mobile theme. The new version required a specific theme for it as it would not have worked through the standard theme. There was no decision to take, unfortunately. If we have not made this step, soon the AMP plugin would have stopped working once the official AMP plugin implementation we used became deprecated.
If you chose to use the mobile theme with amp, all you need to do is to make sure that you make the settings like in our guide.
Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
How to Make an AMP ready Website with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
Please make sure that you activate the amp from mobile theme -> https://www.screencast.com/t/6m5bxthx8ec and you check the box from general Amp -> https://www.screencast.com/t/WEyXhNzY
In order to have the 3 posts you’ll need to make sure that you have some post in feature category -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/44kBTEzkJNy
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/dpVV27TTe
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/27QB6dv0VGs
Also is not need to use the mobile theme with amp, you can sample use others amp plugins and use the responsive version of theme.
If you want to go back to v9.5 you can get it from here
Thank you
Hi Calin,
This weekend I had the opportunity to try various roads, and all without exit … unfortunately.
I thought about going back to version 9.5 and I told myself that, then, I could not have the theme with important updates.
Rest at 9.6, but what I can see is the problem with the AMP plugin.
Wordpress mia has reported the following error message:
The following plugins may be incompatible with AMP: td-composer, really-simple-ssl, wp-excel-cms, wp-content-copy-protection, eu-cookie-law, wp-fastest-cache, wp-recaptcha , wp-fastest-cache-premium More details
Where with More details it signals to me, for each article, something like this:

From what I understand, mind you I’m not an expert, but it’s not your theme to have problems, but it has the AMP plugin.
And even on your “td composer” plugin.
Even if my assumptions were correct, do not you think it would be better to settle the issue by intervening on the AMP plugin and making it perfectly compatible with the theme?
When I bought your theme at the time, I did it essentially because it allowed us to have graphically interesting AMP pages.
Now I am forced to have AMP pages, a painful graphics and I had to create a personal plugin to have the opportunity to put adsense advertising.
I hope you can solve this problem soon, not so much for me that somehow I arrange, as for all the other 77,000, and more, who have bought your theme.
A question arises spontaneously, but is there anybody to whom the theme works perfectly with the new version of the AMP plugin?
A cordial greeting and a good job …
3. That would be true, the mobile theme doesn’t have that many settings. Most elements are predefined, this is why it is lighter. We will add more options in it now that it has also been integrated with the official AMP plugin.
From what I know Google changed the testing method a while back, this is why now the results are quite different when compared to before this algorithm change. I see that render blocking would be the main issue when checking you website with the tool
– http://prntscr.com/mw86n1
Maybe try and eliminate or at least optimize in this matter. Try some render blocking plugins for example, there may be other methods.
7. Seems in this case there is also an inline margin left – http://prntscr.com/mw8fd3
Quite unusual. I can give you a code for it, to make it look better
– http://prntscr.com/mw8qf6
.td-g-rec-id-content_top .adsbygoogle {
margin-left:auto!important;
}
Looks like the ad does not respect the size it is supposed to appear in for some reason. I see that it is supposed to appear in 300×250 but it does not. What if you try and select that setting in the theme panel for mobile? – http://prntscr.com/mw8s09 let me know.
8. Setting a background color would best be left until the ads display issue is solved. It would appear just on the top and bottom at the moment.

Hi,
Again thanks for all the efforts, but you need to keep in mind that most of the sites that use Newspaper theme are actually news and media sites. They have ever-changing content on the home page and you need to test out a better cache plugin compatibility. Wp fastest cache has become old and mundane.
Issues we are facing:
1) We were using Speed Ninja plugin with 9.5 theme, and it was giving us great results in GTmetrix and google speed index. However, with the new 9,6 update, there are compatibility issues on the mobile. The front page only loads and articles do not load or if they load the style sheet is missing and everything looks like plain HTML. Can you please check its compatibility or tell us which other plugins we can use to get back to 90+ level on Google speed index, because we tried your tutorials and super cache, and nothing is working. We have right now disabled the SNP plugin. So that site works at least.
2) With the new amp plugin we are getting over 400 errors in the very first few hours of updating, none of the new articles are showing as AMP.
3) The 3 bar menu from amp is missing.
4) There is no infinite loading on the mobile theme. Since many come from mobile only, we were hoping it will come this time. When can we expect that?
5) How can we minify CSS and javasript? Since WP fastest cache does not do that.
6) The URL is not changing on autoload on the desktop. As soon as we go down to the next story, the article loads but the url does not change. The GA team tells us we are not getting additional page views because of that.
7) We have loaded the AMP code as the tutorial suggests, however we are not seeing any amp views on GA.
Please help.
Due to the large number of posts related to the AMP issues in 9.6, I think that a recap would be useful:

Turning ON the “SHOW ON AMP” option give us:
– TONS of error alerts from the Google Search Console (a drop in the search rankings is probable)
– We are unable to use critical plugins like DISQUS and others (Disqus is AMP enabled and is a MUST in any news site with solid traffic)
– Mobile Google Analytics issues. Guideduchien wrote: “Before i had a bounce rate average on mobile 86 % and page views per session 1,28. But now with tagdiv mobile theme and amp plugin, bounce rate is 1,96 % and page view per session 2,32, it’s not possible.”
– Reported problems with the speed of the site
– Post views not counted on mobile
– AMP links are invalid
Turning OFF the “SHOW ON AMP” option give us:
– No ads on AMP, we can’t monetize AMP!!
Downgrade on version 9.5 seems to be the only option at the moment, but is not a long-term solution, because Simion C. wrote “soon the AMP plugin would have stopped working once the official AMP plugin implementation we used became deprecated.”
Also, Bogdan B. wrote: “unfortunately if you do not like the mobile theme implementation you will need to use an external amp plugin…”
Does it sounds like it is time to search for another theme?. I was a happy Tagdiv user for years, but that response makes me think that a proper mobile implementation is not critical for Tagdiv.
I recently updated my theme new version of Newspaper 9.6.
The AMP not working properly, and I can’t monetize my absence ads and some posts doesn’ support it. of course, the ads can be managed by a mobile plugin(with AMP support) section.
but I’m strong to say not interested to use the mobile plugin.
kindly, please develop the AMP features, why are you doing this.! the previous AMP plugin features perfectly alright and working like charm with no other issues.
I need to roll back into 9.5 version I didn’t do that, because the Envato gives only 9.6
please develop the features or rollback to the older version. I tried with the older version of AMP plugin which I have already backup my server. the old AMP plugin says, “we temporarily discard that (something like that.)
please resolve the issue ??
FYI: A bit late in my response but I figured out the problem and hopefully this could help others with a similar problem:
Change Image Editor Library Used by WordPress
WordPress runs on PHP which uses two modules to handle images. These modules are called GD Library and Imagick. WordPress may use either one of them depending on which one is available.
However, Imagick is known to often run into memory issues causing the HTTP error during image uploads. To fix this, you can make the GD Library your default image editor.
You can do this by simply adding this code to your theme’s functions.php file or a site-specific plugin.
function wpb_image_editor_default_to_gd( $editors ) {
$gd_editor = ‘WP_Image_Editor_GD’;
$editors = array_diff( $editors, array( $gd_editor ) );
array_unshift( $editors, $gd_editor );
return $editors;
}
add_filter( ‘wp_image_editors’, ‘wpb_image_editor_default_to_gd’ );
$editors = array_diff( $editors, array( $gd_editor ) );
array_unshift( $editors, $gd_editor );
return $editors;
}
add_filter( ‘wp_image_editors’, ‘wpb_image_editor_default_to_gd’ );
After adding this code, you can retry uploading files using the media uploader. If this doesn’t solve the issue, then you can remove this code and try other methods described in this article.
Using The .htaccess Method
This method allows you to control how Imagick uses server resources. Many shared hosting providers limit Imagick’s ability to use multiple threads for faster image processing. However, this would result in you seeing the HTTP error when uploading images.
An easy fix is to add the following code in your .htaccess file:
1
SetEnv MAGICK_THREAD_LIMIT 1
This code simply limits Imagick to use a single thread to process images.
We hope this article helped you fix the HTTP error during media upload in WordPress. You may also want to see our WordPress troubleshooting guide as well as the ultimate list of most common WordPress errors and how to fix them.

Finally I speeded my website and gtmetrix scores are high. Now, I want to add a non adsense ad to my website. But I couldn’t. Can someone tell me how I can do it.
<div class="td-visible-desktop">
<a href="#"><img src="<strong>image here I know</strong>." alt="" /></a>
</div>
where can I add target website name. From my site to another site like “xyxyxyxyxyxyx.com”
Hi Callin,
I verified in other Post but still its not working at all.
To answer your question :
1)Checked in other WordPress theme and it appearing under Text Widget/Custom HTML widget but same is not working for me.The most surprising fact about this problem is when I am checking in customize Format ,its showing but when I am going to actual Post its not appearing. Please check the below Screenshot.
https://prnt.sc/mvef7p
2) My ads are fully approved .Please refer the below screenshot
https://prnt.sc/mves8a
I raised this issue multiple times but not getting any resolution.Please help me in solving the Issue.
Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to have more control over the Mobile Theme & AMP setup. It would be very great if we could add a “View full version” link in the footer or somewhere because currently when I set up the Mobile Theme & AMP settings it seems it is not possible to view the full version of the site on mobile devices which is such a shame really. The other way around it would also be nice to be ablse to access the mobile version on desktop devices which does not seem possible either at the moment. Now, I know it could be just something wrong on my setup. So, please let me know.
Here is the link to my site: https://mediaronggolawe.id/
When I try to visit the AMP versio (https://mediaronggolawe.id/?amp) it returns:
“This page isn’t working
mediaronggolawe.id is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500”
Another question I have is how can I set up the Mobile Homepage to look like this (https://tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/mobile-theme-welcome-to-the-future.jpg)? because currently it’s just showing the latest posts block. (You can see for yourself if you visit mediaronggolawe.id on your phone).
Last question. Is it possible to have the popular posts widget display on the Mobile Theme & AMP version because visitors love to see what’s popular and it really keeps them on the site much longer.
NB: The current setup I have with the Newspaper theme without the Mobile Theme & AMP version is just perfect and the only reason I’m trying to setup the AMP version is to benefit from Google search results and that super lightning speed experience that visitors get when they first visit the site (AMP version) coming from Google search. Once they are on the site I would like them to have the option to view the full version of the site. In fact I really recommend you check out the plugin “AMP for WP” which does exactly what I just explained.
Looking forwad to more great updates from you guys. Love you all. 🙂
3- I already tried that but the mobile theme is to limited. I can’t control anything. There’s no filters, no page customization and above all it automatically deactivates some plugins that I need like here https://labussolanews.com/eventi/.
However I think it is not normal to have a score of 20 or less without activating the mobile theme. There must be something wrong.
I tried PageSpeed Insights in that page https://labussolanews.com/la-redazione/ where there is practically nothing. No articles, no filters or something that can slow down the site. The score is 17 here… I’m considering to move on to another theme…
5- Ok i’ll try. Thanks.
7- you can find the ads at the top of every article like here (only on mobile, in desktop ver. looks fine.)
https://labussolanews.com/cultura/donne-e-lavoro-al-fulgor/
8- this is my adsense ad code
<script async src=”//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js”></script>
<!– 002- 300×250 –>
<ins class=”adsbygoogle”
style=”display:inline-block;width:300px;height:250px”
data-ad-client=”ca-pub-8390561613148257″
data-ad-slot=”7639744078″></ins>
<script>
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
</script>
How can i add that background?
I tried removing the adsbygoogle.js line from that inline ad, but it’s still the same. You don’t think it’s a bug with that specific template (it’s actually Single Post Template 9, I was mistaken above).
I created yet another Cloud page with Single Post Template 4 and the inline ad on that one also works just fine, just like Single Post Template 1.
https://www.vitalthrills.com/2019/03/05/captain-marvel-review/
3. You should use the mobile theme which is created specially for mobile. For example this theme demo uses the mobile theme plugin with these results – http://prntscr.com/mv1xwa
Now the mobile theme can also be integrated with the official AMP plugin as well
– https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
4. I see the problem, I will add it on the list so it can be investigated. Sorry for the inconvenience.
5. You can use a cloud post template – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Here you can preview and experiment with cloud templates
– https://affiliate.tagdiv.com/#/load/All
Within a cloud post template you can arrange the post elements as needed. With the predefined post templates it is not possible.
6. For standard Adsense ads, in the theme panel you can choose a specific size per device if that is what you want to do, for example – http://prntscr.com/mv27a7
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/ads-adsense-overview/
For different kind of ads like auto ads we don’t have any documentation I can provide. I haven’t made testing with such ads, maybe try searching online for some tips or suggestions.
7. I remember seeing something like that on another website, quite unusual. In that case the ad code seemed to have an inline negative margin left for some reason. This resulted in the ad not being centered anymore. I believe we fixed it with CSS at the time. I could take a look if you can post a link to where this happens.
8. Maybe by surrounding the ad code with a div container and add style to it, like a background color. Some padding or additional CSS may be needed. Or with CSS directly, something like this – http://prntscr.com/mv2cck
Hi,
I can’t seem to be able to access an actual category page on your website. Clicking on a category seems to direct to the same page
– https://12voltmag.com/?p=category/car-av/amplifiers/
– https://12voltmag.com/?p=category/electrical-lighting/wire/
There is this unusual ?p= in the URL, but the URL without it leads to a 404, for example
– https://12voltmag.com/category/car-av/amplifiers/
This would be a normal permalink structure and valid URL. The Only references I can find about this are these
– https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3242977/php-get-rid-of-p-in-url
– https://craftcms.stackexchange.com/questions/9960/another-index-phpp-problem
Maybe check how you have set the permalinks in WordPress settings, also check rules in the htaccess file.
Thanks
2- Ok, i hope this will be fixed because it’s not nice to see.
3- The screenshot you have posted is for the desktop version. This is 55/100 that is not really good …
Anyway you skipped the biggest problem. Mobile version score 20/100… very bad score. Can you try and verify? because it is practically unusable like this. The mobile version get 90% of my readers so it is very important.
4- i tried and it works now. The problem is that the selection box (when i click) get worse because everywhere i click, i get the light blue box (on mobile) https://ibb.co/TLBxh5T. This is not a new problem. I have added this custom css code (suggested by another admin)
body.td-ad-background-link {
cursor: default;
}
but it’s not working anymore.
5- It is possible to change the order of elements in post? i’d like them in that order:
Title, social icons, featured image and subhead. Like this https://ibb.co/F09xZyb. Also can i change the subhead font color? At the moment is grey, i’d like it black.
6- I set article bottom and top ads with adsense. I need to insert automatic ads code and then use ADVANCE USAGE for modify the ads dimension or it’s better to create specific ads (like 300×250) directly in adsense? because times ago, i have insert in CUSTOM CODE – CUSTOM HTML – code for adsense automatic ads with all ads option active like Vignette ads, Text and display ads, InArticle ads, InFeed ads, Matched content etc. but the website slowed down a lot. Do you have any suggestions on what to activate and what not?
7- why if I set an ads on mobile (top article ads example) of 300×250 px, it place that ad decentralized? remains aligned to the left edge.
8- it is possible to make top or bottom article ads like that? https://ibb.co/GkcTkpm a grey box with ads inside?
thank you

Hi,
Sorry for the inconveniences, there was a decision made to integrate the mobile theme with the official AMP plugin.
There were many requests to have a menu on AMP since the introduction of the AMP plugin, a section for adding the auto ads code directly in the theme panel (not by adding it in the plugin code each time the theme was updated), sections for adding custom code and a few others. So it was decided to use the official AMP plugin together with the mobile theme, which would be a better solution than a dedicated AMP plugin as before. The mobile theme is optimized for mobile for increased performance.
The official AMP plugin can be used by its own, and the mobile theme deactivated if you don’t want to use it. Or you could consider using a different AMP plugin altogether. Let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks
I’m trying the AMP plugin without using the mobile theme, because like PatWire, I have other ads than AdSense to run. However, when I use Paired the page layout does not look good. The only one that looks kind of decent is the Classic one, but that doesn’t look like the theme. Anything I can do to make the Paired one work?
https://www.vitalthrills.com/2019/03/06/mad-about-you-revival-spectrum/?amp
Does the AMP plugin removal mean that non-mobile theme users won’t get `AMP pages?
I can’t use the mobile theme plugin because I have native ads I’ve sold on the site – will I still get AMP, or do I need another solution?
Seems to happen in the homepage as well, on mobile – http://prntscr.com/mtegpj While other ads display fine – http://prntscr.com/mtegx2
What if you switch the ad codes between them, does it happen? or try and set a size in for mobile as a test to see what happens then – http://prntscr.com/mtehjm
Calin,
Header Template 22 works fine with the ads translating over to phones, but none of the others I downloaded (4-5-6-21-26) the header ad works fine everywhere except on phones. I edited Template 22 and I think I can make that work.
Thank you for your guidance.
I am having issue removing a popping Sidebar from my WordPress Site, each time someone opens a post on my site, and start to scroll down, a sidebar pops out from the left displaying other post in form ads, This popping sidebar is good for PC view, but very disturbing on mobile, it prevents use from reading content on their desired page.
You can see the popping sidebar from the Image below, see the blue Arrow.

Please I need help asap.
You can lookup https://shevimuzic.com on mobile and click on any of the post and you’ll see how annoying it is
The problem is that I’m not working on wordpress.org but .com. Basically every link you give to me requires the installation of plugins like WP super cache or Super booster that I can not install in wordpress.com. I don’t have access to MySql for example.
In addition, I do not know how to add or change any kind of code.
I expected there was some more help … from the test done you can not recognize what are the problems?
The theme for mobile is too limited for me.
But in any case, it is absurd that without the mobile theme my score is 25 and 51 on the desktop … something is wrong.
One more problem. The white page appear if people have adblock activate. But why a white page? i have add an adsense 728×90 px in the header (rotating with another ad).
Adblock should simply prevent the ad from displaying but do not make the page completely white and unreachable … what should I do?
Hello there,
I’m trying to integrate your theme with WPML. The issue I’m facing is that your Tagdiv editor is not working with the plugin. I can only see the unreadable editor code.
Here’s a screenshot of the error:
https://cninuae.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Tagdiv-error.jpg
The other issue is home pages are not appearing for the respective languages.
Similar issue is reported at WPML’s website: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/tagdiv-newspaper-theme-pages-made-with-tagdiv-composer-just-not-editable/
I tried that fix by copying the xml text both in their xml settings as well as copying the xml file to plugin’s root folder but to no avail.
Can you please help me out with that?
